Good thing by Trump, if that will Stop some over zealous customs officers at arrivals in Bangkok Airport who are eager to pull over foreigners and see how they can extort cash on some absurd made up rule regarding the contents in the luggage.

Any place other then Bangkok, Phuket, and mainly Hua Hin, will have a better cost of living with far cheaper prices all over. Worst I would say in overcharging foreigners, from anything to everything is Hua Hin.

Even have seen cops pull over and take a leak around the bushes in broad daylight. Not to mention those who even take a juicy dump behind a bush as I saw it happen once in Hua Hin, on a road towards Hin Lek Fai. But what to expect in a country that does not provide sufficient public clean toilets all over, trash bins for the public or recycling points to dispose of large thrash or electronics. People end up in just dumping it anyplace. Happens all the time in many western countries also.

I find the tax threats against the foreigner retirees in Thailand on their foreign earned revenu, far more idiotic as it is just killing the golden goose and making those who bring money to Thailand, leave or not to come back that often as before as they just are fed up.

Wassup can be very useful as more an more businesses and services are using it. Or even other computer apps like Facetime or similar.

With what some freelancers ask in Bangkok, 4200 THB would be the gains for a ST. With all the foolish asians or westerners accept to shell out...

The way the Thai handlers harass decent foreigners during the process, despite submitting all the documents and keep on making up new requirements...one does really not wish to carry on this visa type, that is ultimately a big flop. The retirees are better off to try other nore welcoming countries in Asia, or even places like sunny Malta, Spain, Portugal, and many more that are more welcoming to foreigners, lower costs of living compared to many areas now in Thailand.

The numbers will soon improve in Russia, when the USA starts to craftily buy all the cheap russian gas or oil that will be resold at highly inflated rates to Europe and the UK. No worries for the players.

Ukraine or Russia - both have their share of high level corrupt leaders and mafias, who are squandering all the money comming in.

People are nervous in a similar manner in the West when they see Asians wearing facemasks or holding an umbrella against the sun. What is it with people caring so much of their image or on what others think of you ? Be polite, respectful to all and the rest ? give it a hoot. Gain some confidence and self assurance. Your life will be so much better and you will feel so much free.

More and more europeans are jealous of the USA as many in Europe would like to have Trump in charge. Europe is slowly destroying itself and it's the europeans who admit it. Ask anybody in the street of a major european city in France. Spain. Germany, Italy, Holland....

Indian food can be heavy but definately the most delicious and seems to be better Chefs in Thailand even compared to some middle level restaurants in New Delhi or Bombay (Mumbai). But the indian restaurants in Thailand need to be wary and not get greedy. Their prices are fast catching up with the prices of same level restaurants in Europe. Tourists may come but they spend far less. So the restaurants need to cater to the foreigners living for long stay who obviously are not as foolish as the 2 week tourist millionnaires who do not look that much at the prices, thanks to a good exchange rate with the THB.

It's totally empty most of the time and when it gets hot, it's mainly the soi dogs who take over and scare away the rare tourist buses that Stop.
