Many out of many Hua Hin, Bangkok, Phuket etc restaurants are cheating in their prices and overcharge foreigners. Write down the prices on the menu when ordering, When the bill comes, add up yourself and often there will be a difference of prices between the menu and what's on the check.

Of course all the garbage dumps and burning of crops or plastic all over has nothing to do with polluting. But one can agree that there is lot's of wasting in such hotels and mainly in house developpments where precious ressources like water are openly wasted for excessive watering of gardens, just to overcharge the house owners with higher water bills, as often they are paid to the developpment managers who get a cut.

The main section of Thai road law is that the falang/foreigner/tourist is always the one at fault.

We can fully trust the immigration staff to make sure the online systems remain inefficient, just to keep their jobs. Forcing foreigners to comme personnally to the office for the Thai immigration visa harassment is the best way to secure their jobs behind their plastic glass window counters.

Utter rubbish. The trillions the US is squandering on it's wars all over the world thanks to Biden, is taking the american economy close to bankrupcy.

Depends where you are. If you to to Hua Hin, Phuket, Koh Samui etc...you will definately be ripped of with the overcharging and sometimes the average quality. Bangkok seems the best place for quality at decent prices.

I don't see tourists spending a fortune to see the twerking skiny clad Taylor Swift. It's the locals and people living for more then a few weeks who may rush to see the show. If it was Dua Lipa,that would be a different story😝. Never understood the craze on Swift... I also find it very irritating when artists think they are divine saviours of the world. It mainly to get free publicity and do the buzz. Artists must entertain and that's it... and we pay for that. If I want to see some alarming political opinions, I can switch on the News or read the papers.

This will chase away the russian quality tourists who knows ? Nobody deserves to get robbed and assaulted of the sort. Very bad image for Thailand as the news must have obviously spread on social media.

Good to be in a home but be sure to have all your property in Thailand sold and the money can be used to finance your home. No point in leaving a condo or a house to the developpers if you suddenly conk out with no notice. Wills and stuff ? why bother as it can just be a hassle for the survivors to get a thai will, sell the house etc. Sell when you are still in good health and then use the cash either to donate to your family or to finance the stay or whatever. Don't leave your kids with the hassle to have to deal with the will and selling property. Usually many families just give up from the west and quite a few properties just to to the crooks around who get the asset.

In the skytrain I have had far less jerks in comparison to many european cities and in public transport. But when there is a jerk, it's usually a mouthy loud group of farangs thinking they are better then others as usual but that is also not so often.

Ever since the US tax donkeys and bureaucrats started to track and hunt US citizens having accounts in Switzerland, people are now loosing money as US residents have no choice but to be forced to put in their savinga in the USA and not in Switzerland . Switzerland that has the best banking in the world - crooked bankers obviously but at least they do not steal clients money like in the US and your cash savings are safe and guaranteed to a certain amount by the Swiss government.

Could not give a hoot on who or what it's their politics. We the foreigners mainly support anybody who will make our visa issues and immigration more simple for the retirees here and abolish some absurd requirements.

Reading the other article on the farang getting thrashed on the road by a Thai when walking with his Thai wife, may speak a bit on the feeling.

A jealous ex that the lady did not want to confess ? Anyhow it appears that the Thais are getting more and more jealous and angry in farangs comming over and taking away their lovely ladies.

Quality cosmetics, toiletteries and Eau de toilette if you use, are more costly here for the quality brands like your basic favorite brands for shaving gel, razors etc. Tailored clothes or shirts not worth any more mainly in Sukhumvit as the chaps are charging prices that are same back home. Quality would vary, but you are far better off bringing your own quality clothes as even the malls in Bangkok are not worth it any more.
