  1. Our mentally stable president's Memorial Day truth rant. When we're supposed to honor our fallen veterans throughout history (in a respectful and dignified manner). If this was your relative, wouldn't you be seeking professional help for them? 'This is a disgrace': Trump ripped for 'outrageous' and 'divisive' Memorial Day diatribe
  2. Trump being Trump yet again. Putin's poodle FOREVER. When it comes to actual ACTION against the object of his bizarro world affection murderous dictator Vladimir, he is truly all maga hat and no cattle. Disgusting. CNN abruptly stopped for breaking news as Donald Trump explodes at reporter over Ukraine question
  3. I think he lives in a yes man bubble. Turns out it wasn't so smart to invade Ukraine in 2022. It was supposed to take a few days. Now years later. That is NOT winning. Anyway he's definitely much more intelligent than Trump, his poodle.
  4. Don't forget China. They haven't.
  5. It's too big. It could split up.
  6. Tell that to the corrupt spineless republicans in congress who are the ones who actualy have the power to stop him now.
  7. It's not only maga cultists that will get hurt. It's most Americans.
  8. Of course not. I've been for universal health care for the US all my life.
  9. I see what you're saying. There's a smaller pot to cut 4 percent every year. In any case, a MASSIVE cut and again, TRUMP LIED.
  10. As said in my OP people have used many different words to describe Trump's particular flavor of American democracy destroying authoritarian ambitions. Here is an example of a word that can aptly be used to describe both Putin and Trump. KLEPTOCRATS. But both of them being kleptocrats are not JUST kleptocrats. That's the beauty part of using Putinization. It's not just one bad thing. It's a number of them that they BOTH share.
  11. To be clear, yet again -- TRUMP LIED. He was very clear in his sleazy campaign that he would NOT cut Medicare. This big ugly bill does what? It cuts Medicare. An AUTOMATIC 4 percent every year of what is paid to providers. Dudes -- that is 40 percent over ten years! Do the flippin' math. So do you think these providers being paid MUCH LESS are going to be in any kind of position but to cut services to patients?!?
  12. The lefty smear machine has nothing on the Trump / Maga insult factory.
  13. I don't think the soul free number crunchers have the capability at looking at the wider perspective. Take fine dining in Thailand for example. European where wine is so natural and even sometimes Thai. Such places generate revenue, taxes, and jobs for Thais. But consider the lost business of people just not going as often to such places BECAUSE the wine cost is so ridiculous it becomes a substandard experience if they cut out the wine or drink less of it, crappier quality, etc. Thaiiland sells itself internationally as one of the top foodie destinations in the world, especially Bangkok, and not only Thai food. Well, with wine priced as it is here, they are limiting themselves.
  14. It's one thing ending the deficit. It's another thing adding additional TRILLIONS to the current deficit. That's Trump for you! The gift of incompetent destructive IDIOCY that keeps on giving.
  15. Nothing of the kind. You're conflating left wing with all democrats. That is simply untrue.
  16. Because he was running to be the democratic party nominee while not even being in the party and more people wanted to go center left. The USA is overall a center right country even with fascist Trump in power now, and the democratic party is still dominated by the center left.
  17. Well, I have made it a hobby to follow retirement visa programs all over the world for over 20 years. I'm here to say that by no means is Thailand the only country that makes policy changes and it isn't the worse case either. So you really never know what you're getting yourself into wherever you move! The worse case that I recall is when Colombia used to have a "lifetime" visa and people had such stamps in their pasports and overnight they downgraded "lifetime" to five years.
  18. What I did was change my finances in such a way that I had a few years to see how this actually shook out. Under the current rules, there are still definitely a lot of expats who are technically in a position of needing a TIN, filing, and paying.
  19. I'm sure glad I didn't fork over 50K baht to Joe Schmoe "Fine" Taxation Advisors for a consultation! Think of all the people who have left Thailand or are spending over half the year outside Thailand to dodge a bullet that apparently isn't coming. Thailand -- never a null moment.
  20. You mean the American left that loves Bernie Sanders?
