  1. Actually, it's paramilitary organization designed to carry out the fascist POLITICAL agenda of one lawless man -- Donald Trump. Abolish ICE or GTFO | The Nation Every authoritarian regime throughout history has employed a roving band of armed thugs who operate outside the law to enforce its strongman’s will. Caesar had his Praetorian Guard, Francios Duvalier had his Tonton Macoutes, Hitler had his Gestapo. Donald Trump has ICE. ICE is functionally a paramilitary organization, armed and empowered to harass citizens, brutalize opposition, and murder people who get in their way. Like any paramilitary apparatus, its chief aim is to strike fear in the population. It does this not only through feats of violence, false imprisonment, and kidnapping but also by repeatedly showing us it can’t be held accountable for its actions. ICE agents can seemingly do anything they want, and no one is allowed to stop them: They know it, and they want us to know it.
  2. As far as Jewish influence on civilization, it's not really a competition, but clearly they've contributed a lot relative to their tiny minority population. I recommend this show for insight on Jewish history, culture, and contributions. This is the trailer but I think the entire multi-part series is on youtube.
  3. I guess he's saying he's gay, Epstein knew that, so Epstein and his procurers kept him separate from their underage girl abusing. On the face of it, it's a credible sounding story but not really proof.
  4. I have scant little confidence in how well Trump will handle this, but I do support whatever international help that is possible to bring this new Iranian revolution to victory. This is a historical opportunity to crush the Islamic Republic and failure now would be devastating. It's way beyond my pay grade to know what exact kind of help will do the job. That Trump wants to help is a good thing (a stopped clock is right twice a day) but based on his track record, I hope he doesn't end up doing more harm than good. Consider his recent "liberation" of Venezuela to steal oil resources that American oil companies don't even want that just put the power back into the same Maduro regime. Like I said a bad track record.
  5. Three points You said you were exiting. I guess not. Snookums is not a slur. Whether I'm a narcissist or not is immaterial. I don't have the nuclear codes.
  6. Wonderful that she survived that and became a San Franciscan. It's curious to me though that they didn't choose a blonde baby if they were going for ideal Aryan Nazi, Even a Jewish blonde baby. Yes, not particularly uncommon.
  7. Yeah Mo is a great show but it's not new. BTW, Moishe is long for Moses, and your Mexican amigo named Jesus is same for Jesus.
  8. Very tragic to say this truth as an American, but Trump egged on by his fascist cult of personality, who loves to call women "nasty" has transformed (dragged down) the USA into a nasty nation. If that is "great" give me crummy! Negative reputations like that (either at the personal or national level) are hard to ever shake! Opinion | Trump is replacing U.S. leadership with fear - The Washington Post www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/01/09/venezuela-trump-leadership-norms-fear/?itid=hp_mv-top-stories_opinions_p001_f016 Trump is teaching the world to fear AmericaGoodwill built over decades is now being squandered.
  9. The question of why have Jewish people been hated so often in history (and now a modern spike again) is generally asked by three groups of people: Jewish people themselves Jew haters asking a baiting question implying or sometimes explicitly stating that Jews deserve their long history of being persecuted. On the social media/forum internet, this hateful group dominates dramatically. A smaller percentage, non-Jewish people who aren't Jew haters who are sincerely curious perhaps from an academic POV. Perhaps Jews should assimilate more and not be so Jewy. Jew haters don't care either way (see history). Anyway, for those that are sincerely interested (I'm not personally qualified to be spokesperson to address this weighty topic), I think Sections 2 and 3 from this link will be of interest. 10 Tough Questions on Antisemitism Explained | AJC www.ajc.org/news/10-tough-questions-on-antisemitism-explained Cheers.
  10. Or never. More likely never actually. Thanks a bunch Mr. Trump!
  11. Elsbeth. Light entertainment about murder done well. The murderer is revealed at the start of each episode, and we watch how a wacky lady figures out who is the perp.
  12. Rubbish. That was already known. It's Putin playing his nuclear threat game again. Bluffing again to scare off Ukraine's supporters.
  13. It's a sign of Putin freaking out (Venezuela/Iran and previously Syria). It's not a sign of Russia winning this war.
  14. Troll bait ignored.
  15. Uzbek and Russian restaurant Dusha Za Granicel (name on Grab) Phatsom Village 2 Soi Khao Talo 4 This place is really extraordinarily good whether you're already familiar with Uzbek and Russian food or not. I've ordered from them maybe 20 times on Grab from so I've tried the majority of their menu (everything that I've wanted to try). They don't have all dishes available every day but there will usually be enough on offer for your taste to make a good meal. What's great about it? More than anything -- their SOUPS and house made dairy products. They have borscht of course but my favorites are less common to find -- a chicken noodle soup with fresh noodles and a leg of chicken and especially their green pea and pork balls soup (reminds me of an Italian wedding soup but with a better broth). There are others as well including a pickle based soup that was good but not something I would want often, Their house made sour cream, cottage cheese, and kefir and dishes made with cottage cheese, the cottage cheese pancakes and especially their cottage cheesecake pastry which reminded me of a wonderful and not too sweet Danish pastry. On the Uzbek side you'll find their excellent rice pilaf and manti stuffed with well seasoned beef. I would say the pilaf is a must try. If you want to best enjoy their sour cream (the best I've ever had) I suggest ordering the borscht and the pork/beef dumplings together as both go so well with it. You must order the sour cream as an add on for a very generous portion. Two dishes that were more meh for me were the mashed potatoes and stuffed cabbage. They have the classic Russian herring salad which is well reviewed on Grab but I'm not a herring or mayo guy so haven't tried. Their samsa (beef or chicken pastry) tasted authentically Uzbek but for me the pastry was too heavy in animal fat. I do like their potato pie which is much lighter. But overall, I'm a huge fan of this place.
  16. Fascist Trump's militia.
  17. LIE!
  18. Most of the critical of Putin Russian military bloggers are in favor of even more barbaric attacks on Ukraine and indeed the entire west. You don't want to encourage that.
  19. Yes, actually.
  20. Yes she was.
  21. She was MURDERED.
