  1. Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi It's good. Invisible Boys - Wikipedia Invisible Boys is an Australian drama for Stan[1] that premiered on 13 February 2025. It is created and directed by Nicholas Verso, adapted from the novel of the same name by Holden Sheppard.[2] The series follows the challenges of teens in the coastal city of Geraldton in Western Australia following the 2017 same-sex marriage plebiscite, it focuses on finding friendships, solace and understanding on what makes them 'invisible'.
  2. People are obsolete anyway. That's what AI is for.
  3. Yeah, of course for those that travel to the US especially frequently there are a lot more options. I was attracted to the 2phone thing as it's possibly a solution for those of us who don't travel there often or ever.
  4. Thanks. I have a way to login to my accounts in the US without VPN though. Teamviewer.
  5. Thanks. That's good news. For me, IF I go with them, that means if the web app doesn't work for me for some reason, at least there would be another option.
  6. There is new Mexican in town! Buenos in the Jomtien Complex (gay nightlife area). Not open for lunch but open late, they are in the soft opening phase. It appears to be a very promising place going for more of an "authentic" experience than usual. No, I haven't been yet. I usually try to avoid very new places getting their sea legs. But some of you may be interested in this free sample party. I'm assuming they're going to want you to buy a drink or two though.
  7. Another maybe dumb question. Can you use the cell of a friend or the relative in the US and just tell them when to expect a code so they can send it to you? I recall hearing that the name associated with the phone must match.
  8. I will ask again. If you have an IOS device, can you please check if the Phone2 app is blocked in Thailand or not? If not blocked, there is no problem installing before paying for the service.
  9. A little more info. Phone2's explanation on how their VOIP is better for 2FAs: They also offer an explanation for the low pricing (99) for the digital nomad single user market. They view digital nomads as mostly seeking the 2FA feature. Their regular market is for larger even bigger businesses with potentially a large number of users for the same number.
  10. Interesting. I tried Google Voice with a few firms. Both failed instantly.
  11. Level to file is different than level to owe tax. Before I thought you were remitting non accessable income. Now it sounds accessable. You do need to file.
  12. Not if you're income is under the level of required filing.
  13. There is no place on the form for non-accessable income so he wouldn't even be stating his pension.
  14. Thanks very much for that detail. I'm confused though. I had thought with such SIM schemes, you always need to first activate the SIM in the U.S. If it's shipped to Thailand directly, how do you deal with the U.S. activation?
  15. Here's where all of this becomes a sticky wicket. Nobody has said that VOIP numbers never work! It's just that it's an objective fact that they are often rejected. They may work at a specific bank for awhile and then they don't work. So saying your VOIP number is getting codes through proves nothing really. But here's the rub, The Phone2 outfit CLAIMS that have a different kind of VOIP that will be reliable. In other words work at every bank and keep working. So somebody joins and it works and thinks it's really good and maybe better than regular VOIP but then later it doesn't work the same issue as VOIP. I have no way of knowing whether their claim of "special" VOIP is even true now, much less a year from now when presumably banks are always fighting to counter anything new that might fool them.
  16. This is a red herring. Jews aren't demanding non Kosher restaurants to make special Kosher meals for them. That's absurd. As said, Jews who are strictly Kosher make a lifestyle about it, and yes it's possible in Thailand but difficult and expensive. Chabad restaurants and ordering Chabad food to be shipped. Some Jews might ask for no pork, no shellfish, or even don't mix meat and dairy at a non-Kosher restaurant. They can ask. What's the big deal? There used to be a pizza place in Pattaya that catered to Israelis. I doubt it was strictly Kosher but I doubt they had ham and cheese pizzas either.
  17. Go ahead and keep repeating the Putin (now also Trump) propaganda talking points.
  18. Not actual elections.
  19. If your remitted pension is not tax accessable in Thailand and that's your only income other than bank interest, then yes, you can bin the form. But do keep records about your pension and remittances in case of a future audit.
  20. OK, that's good. But isn't Google Voice free? Like I said, I need CODES.
  21. I don't agree. If it's just VOIP, it's not reliable for codes by definition. That includes google voice -- not reliable for codes.
  22. Not great but I don't see anything there to be a deal killer.
  23. Yeah, that's good but an app like this that is actually reliable for bank codes would be a big deal IF it actually works over time. The bank codes things is the exciting part. There is nothing new and exciting about regular VOIP which are NOT reliable for codes.
  24. To be clear, I very much appreciate the more active feedback including skepticism including the seeming certainty from one member that it IS a scam. It may be a scam and sure I can see the red flags, but I don't know how anyone can be certain.
