The Children of Gaza = More than 7000 Killed.
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
Disgusting denialism. -
Yes I've had Taiwanese food including beef noodles other places such as Pattaya and San Francisco. A favorite of mine is three cup chicken.

I think you're being silly now. I wasn't suggesting Taiwan for pizza and I don't believe its hard to find Chinese food in Taiwan but of course they are known for Taiwanese religional specialties. Have you been to Tainin?

I agree that overall the Chinese food in Thailand is not top notch but with trial and error I've found dishes here at some restaurants that work well enough for me. My standard for Chinese food is the San Francisco Bay Area AKA Gold Mountain and also the Sichuan food of the famous chef that used to be the chef at the Chinese embassy in Washington. Another funny adaptation I've made is pimping up delivery food. Like I'll order a Sichuan spicy mala oil broth pot of fish filets by adding more broth consisting of tofu, shiitake mushrooms, fermented Sichuan broad bean paste, Sichuan pepper oil, and bean vermicelli. The result is excellent but I wouldn't be happy with the unaltered dish.

Pizza Art in Jomtien was as proper as it gets. But they closed. How about Taiwan? I want to visit there.

The Children of Gaza = More than 7000 Killed.
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
Not precisely. It's a policy of intentionally accepting civilian casualties when targeting military enemies. It's called war. Hamas started it. Hamas knew it would happen. Hamas intentionally uses human shields. -
I agree about Chinese. Italian is definitely very popular. However objectively I don’t think Thai food rates that high.

Israel losing global support over Gaza bombing, Biden says
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
It's complicated. It's a social disease that adapts to whatever is happening in the world and even happens in nations with no or few Jews. Israel demonization is a more current adaptation of that ancient hatred. -
Israel losing global support over Gaza bombing, Biden says

Obviously but he realizes that makes him look bad, thus the sleazy attempt at obfuscation. A typical case of someone that uses "anti-Zionist" as a cover. -

The sad reality is that most of the Free Free Palestine protests in the world now are actually about fomenting hatred of Jews. -

They? The Jews? Being a Zionist (supporting the right of Israel to exist) should in no way be conflated with supporting everything the state of Israel has done. Your POV makes me vomitous. Lots of countries have done crap things yet mysteriously it is ONLY the one tiny nation state associated with Jews that you and other River to the Sea mobsters think should not be allowed to exist. Again words matter. Anti Zionist equals being opposed to the existence of Israel. -

Easy. You're openly rabidly anti Zionist. Zionism simply means a liberation movement of political self determination for the Jewish people realized in the foundation of the sovereign nation state of Israel. Anti Zionism equals opposing the existence of the state of Israel. Yes even a very small percentage of Jews are anti Zionist as well. Cheers. -
RE: Requirements for Retirement Visa
Jingthing replied to ME100's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Starting with an O vs. O-A visa makes the difference. If you start with an O-A (obtainted outside Thailand) then you do need health insurance for that including all subsequent extensions. If you start with an O visa, no such requirement. Don't try to understand the logic of that. There isn't any. -
Neapolitan pizza is an Italian style. I can't take you seriously if you don't realize that. And yes, I've eaten pizza in Italy. I KNOW YOU'RE WRONG. Bye.
-
I get what you're saying that authentic can be a cringe red flag word but I think that word was needed here to communicate the issue. There are many different pizza styles in the world and there are also multiple styles in Italy. Is a Philadelphia pizza Italian even though not an Italian style? People might disagree and I'm not sure it matters. Just because something started in Italy doesn't mean variations developed elsewhere can't be good. A good example is burritos in the U.S. vs. Mexico. The U.S. versions in general are much better but not authentically Mexican.

What Movies or TV shows are you watching (2023)
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in Entertainment
This a more general post. As there is so very much content out there, past, present, and future it's not humanly possible to watch everything that might be worth watching, not even close. So of course everyone "misses" stuff and moves on to newer stuff, or older stuff new to them. But what about shows that were associated with a time in the past, and you missed it? Such as Tiger King associated as the hit show of the beginning of the pandemic or Mad Men associated with the time it was popular? Just two examples. I missed them both. Even though both interest me, I seem to never get around to starting with them, like it's some kind of psychological block. -
I'm sorry you're so CLOSED MINDED. Look, I well understand that Italians are remarkably chauvinistic about their food. But the truth is no nation OWNS a particular kind of food. You might have misunderstood me. I'm not saying most or all pizzas sold globally are authentically Italian. But some are. Let's take Neopolitan style. Say you have a place with an authentic oven that uses imported from Italy ingredients, with either a trained Italian chef or competently trained in that style of any nationality. Do you seriously believe that can't be authentic Italian pizza just because it's not cooked in Italy?!? Come on man.
-
That's kind of silly. Authentic Italian pizzas are available globally.
-
I've assumed real deep dish isn't much of a thing in Thailand because it uses a massive amount of cheese. So to do it right with quality ingredients here would mean a product that most wouldn't buy. Another thing which I can't really explain. I've had great Chicago style pizza in ... you guessed it ... Chicago. But when I've tried it in other places even with chain brands from Chicago -- not as good.

Israel losing global support over Gaza bombing, Biden says
Jingthing replied to CharlieH's topic in The War in Israel
What's hate speech is accusing Israel of having a policy of murdering civilians. Israel is in Gaza to go after Hamas. Hamas uses human shields. They've admitted as much. Also it's great propaganda for Israel's enemies to focus on the tragic civilian casualties without explaining the reasons that happens. Hamas on the other hand as evidenced on October 7 and Hamas announcements to do those again and again and again has a charter policy saying Kill all Jews. Israel has no choice but to carry out this war. Israel did not ask for this war. Hamas FORCED this war.
