If you really think that, then it sounds like you're supporting how Hamas is responding to these Palestinians demonstrating against them. Anyone who has values different from yours and expresses them should not be denigrated. It's okay to contradict them and engage them in discussions, and they should definitely not be arrested unless they are committing a crime.

I'm not okay with racism and sexism. That is why I support DEI. It's an attempt to right the wrongs of previous racism and sexism by helping establish Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I am a far-left lefty, but don't really ascribe to a "voting block (sic)." Although I usually vote Democrat, I would vote for any candidate in any party who best fits my values.

I just don't understand how our government could think it could put any pressure on a private company (Disney?) for its diversity efforts. I know now that if a private company receives any federal aid (like some universities), it can be put under pressure to do what the government wants, but not a truly private company. I, of course, as a far-left liberal, support DEI and hope more companies and organizations continue to deploy it.

Typical Hamas apologist @Bkk Brian's comment above proves my point. Virtually EVERYONE takes sides nowadays, and if you're perceived to be on the "other side," you're denigrated, such as was done above. My original post (which is above also) doesn't take a side. It is aimed at both sides because both sides tell lies about, exaggerate failures, and denigrate the other side.

Did you just read the headline and no bother to read the article ? No, I only read the headline. That's enough for me to get the gist of the article. I did now read (skim through) the article, and stand by my remark above. Even many Israelis are demonstrating against Netanyahu for not making a deal to bring all the hostages home. Also, in my home country, Palestine supporters are being denigrated and some (visa-holders) even arrested. 😞

World Athletics Introduces Gender Testing for Female Track Athletes
WDSmart replied to Social Media's topic in World News
My only point was that my previous claim of "4%" was wrong. I did look it up before I posted that and posted what I thought I'd found, but now I think the percentage might have been .4% and not 4%. -

This is the result of my Google search; "According to the Williams Institute, 1.4 million adults identify as transgender in the United States. About 0.5% of adults 18-24 identify as transgender, and 0.3% of adults 65 and older identify as transgender." What Percentage of the Population is Transgender in 2025? -

I take exception to your use of the word "pretending" in your comment above. These people are not "pretending." They have chromosomal and/or hormonal variants that actually make them what they are—neither definitely male nor female. As far as how these types of people should be handled, I would just like for them not to be ignored or, worse yet, accused of faking their claims, as you've done above. There could be three categories: male, female, and "other." The "other" category could have as many sub-categories as necessary, perhaps four, as you suggest, or they could all just compete together. I think we have to really examine why we now have two categories for sports: male and female. There are plenty of examples of females being allowed to compete on a male sports team, but not the other way. If we think it's important to divide our sports up so EVERYONE can compete with others who are categorized the same as them, then we should consider expanding our thoughts about gender range. Also, we might consider not labeling people "male" and "female" and just testing their chromosomes and hormonal levels, based on which we might make categories of sports. What do you think about that? -
Well, if we, the public, judge a person, I believe we should presume that person is innocent, just like the jury. Also, we, the public, aren't given all the information the jury gets, but we also get a lot more via the news. If you watch Fox, you'll probably have a different opinion than if you watch CNN, as I do.

I agree that perhaps a solution is creating a 3rd category, and maybe even having two sub-categories under that. One for female trans and one for male trans. -
Bangkok Shop Owner Defends Right to Sell Controversial Shirts

I searched for "cnn lies" on Google and found a lot of articles on that. The first one that popped up was from Fox 😄 . I read some of the titles but none of the complete article. I also did a search for "fox lies," and guess what? I found a few (Ha! Ha!) of them, too. OMG! I just did a Google search on "Trump lies" and the results took down my PC! I had to reboot! 😉 -

Is it possible you are not a real person then ? OMG! I never considered that! But I did pass the test on that, I think. But maybe I didn't!!! 😮 -

The link you provided took me to a "Yandex" browser and asked me to prove I was a real person. I did, but then there was no article. And, by the way, when I used to post links, they were displayed like yours, in blue type with a live link. Now when I post a link, it's just displayed in black type with no live link? How do you post your links so they are live? -
Thailand's Digital Card Chaos: Say Goodbye to TM6, Hello to Confusion!
WDSmart replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Is there any suggestion that those of us with TM6s will have to update them with these cards? My TM6 is over 6 years old now. -
Yes, but far too many today seem driven by gut emotions rather than thinking. "Two sources familiar with these talks confirmed that the party wanted to be prepared for every conceivable situation." Well, then that's a good thing, correct? Do you think the current Republican party has gone through all that and is "prepared for every conceivable situation?"

Yes! CNN is my main source of news—90% or more. The only other sources I have are Facebook, AseanNow Forums, and other social media sites. I read the articles and comments on these, and some are interesting and indeed may be true, but I don't accept any of that as actual fact. CNN is my source for that. What sources do you have that you accept as fact? -

You accused me of knowingly disseminating misinformation. IMO, those are just three big words that together mean "telling lies." -

Yes, I apologize for this. I am so very disappointed in Trump's reelection that I see examples of his actions everywhere, perhaps even, like this one, where there is no real connection. -

Trump would prohibit any speech he disagrees with. An example is the support of Palestinians and criticism of Israel. T-shirts with pictures of Putin, Hitler, George Washington, or Jesus are all the same. They are free speech. They should not be censored. The left, like me, is not spreading "misinformation." The left, like me, is just expressing their opinions. If you disagree with these, you claim they are lies. They are not. They are valid opinions that probably go against your beliefs. I believe in free speech to the extreme, as long as it is not a direct incitement to violence. The old example is falsely "yelling 'Fire!' in a crowded theater. But you could do that if there were a fire, or even if you legitimately thought there was.
