  1. We want their CRIMES for all to see, but keeping some things confidential is not a crime. Stealing and publishing them is.
  2. Julian Assange: Free-Speech Crusader or Threat to the West? Neither. He's just a convicted felon.
  3. Deleted - a duplicate message...
  4. My barber charges me 80 baht for my haircut. I give her 100 baht including my tip.
  5. Julian Assange is now a convicted felon. If his private plane landed here, he wouldn't be allowed off and into Thailand, would he?
  6. Yes, and you can read about some of them here: 30 Things Joe Biden Did as President You Might Have Missed - POLITICO
  7. Whether or not these two men who are SUSPECTS in this child's death are illegal aliens should, IMO, not be the focus of this forum. Their immigration status makes no difference as to whether they are involved in her death. But a bunch of righties, like you, seem to want to make their immigration status a big deal and imply that it is further evidence that they are guilty of this crime and go on to demean all immigrants, both legal and illegal. I disagree wholeheartedly with that.
  8. Again, I don't like your phrasing. A tree does not make a noise when it falls unless a human is around to interpret the sound waves it makes as "noise." And, yes, if YOU cross a border illegally, YOU are a criminal. But, if you think these two men crossed a border illegally, they are not criminals until that is proven to be true. (Which I've now learned via a post here citing APNews that the U.S. Department of Immigration says they have proof.)
  9. Okay, I didn't read that comment; this information wasn't in the article itself. So, these two men are illegal aliens and, therefore, criminals. I now agree with that. But that still doesn't have any bearing on whether or not they had anything to do with this girl's death.
  10. Here's your problem causing our dilemma: I agree with your first sentence, but you can't immediately apply that to these two men. They have not yet (as far as I have read) been prove to have crossed the border illegally. They probably did, but "probably" doesn't make them criminals yet. In your second sentence, you start with "a criminal robbing a liquor store..." You should have just said "a person robbing...," and not used the term "criminal" yet. And most importantly, when applied to this case being discussed in this Forum, whether or not these two men are illegal aliens have nothing to do with whether they were the ones who harmed this girl.
  11. illegally entering a country is a crime. Yes, illegally entering a country is a crime. As far as I know, these two men have not been found guilty of doing that yet.
  12. you're missing the point. no illegal entry = no rape. You're missing the point. Even if these two men are illegal aliens, they have not yet been found guilty of harming this girl in any way.
  13. I don't disagree with most of what you say above. All I'm saying is that if the situation at the border has changed to the degree that we need new laws to govern it, the president can only make a short-term change using an executive order. For a permanent, long-term change, congress would have to create new legislation.
  14. Yes, all you said above is true, but until a person is convicted of these crimes, he/she is not a criminal.
  15. We don't know if these two men raped or killed this girl yet.
  16. They could "allegedly" have done anything. I assume, if there is enough evidence, they will be tried for this crime (killing of the girl). If they are tried, their immigration status should not be considered.
  17. What I said was not all immigrants are criminals. And illegal immigrants aren't criminals until they are found, charged, and convicted.
  18. No one I know of tried to blame Trump for this killing. Some Trump supporters are trying to blame Biden. I don't blame either one of them. If these two guys did this, I blame them, and if they are found to be guilty in court, I hope they go to prison for the rest of their lives. But, none of this, IMO, has anything to do with their immigration status.
  19. I have no idea what you are talking about. As far as I know, Venezuelans are only issued Venezuelan passports.
  20. Its just a matter of time before A concerned citizen gets fed up with the BS and calls biden out on it , on the muted and no audience debate stage! The most recent and current limits set by Biden are a little confusing, but they are: "The order suspends entry of migrants who cross the southern border illegally and was set to take effect at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, barring legal challenges. The order will be lifted if the government certifies that fewer than 1,500 people a day on average crossed the border in the span of a week. It can kick back in if the numbers go above 2,500 a day, on average, in a given week." Biden’s Executive Order on Immigration: What to Know - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
  21. We have borders. We also have immigration laws and asylum and refugee status laws. If they aren't helping us deal with the current scope of events, then our Legislative Branch needs to change them. In an emergency, the Executive Branch can issue a short-term edict, but it must be followed by a change in the law.
  22. All you right-wing MAGA supporters are just CRAZY! Just because two men who are suspected of killing a woman turn out to be illegal immigrants doesn't mean all immigrants, even illegal immigrants, are criminals. This is xenophobia. This is as bad as racism. There are many, many people killed (murdered) in the USA every day, and very few of them are murdered by illegal aliens. Take off your crazy hat and think about this rationally.
  23. Yes, I agree - if they are charged, go to trial, and are found guilty. And all that should not be dependent on whether or not they are illegal immigrants.
  24. Let's go Brandon ! add this one to his list of victims As I said in my previous post, the citizenship/immigration status of the two suspects was not confirmed in the article above. Neither was the citizenship/immigration status of the victim. But the most important thing I stated was that neither of these should play any part in a trial, if there is enough evidence against the suspects to warrant one.
  25. I'm a lefty, a far-, far-left lefty. Here is what I read, starting on the left, in the article above... According to the article above, these two men are only suspects in the murder. They are also only suspected of being illegal aliens. There is no mention of the victim's citizen or immigration status. It was mentioned she claims to have been raped before and was supposed to have gotten, used, and turned in a rape kit. The bottom line here is if there is enough evidence, these two suspects should be tried for this suspected murder. However, the citizenship or immigration status of neither the suspects nor the victim should play any part in the trial.
