  1. I don't know the details, but perhaps the dashcam backed up the claims of the driver, not the foreigner. Anyway, the foreigner assaulted him, and that's on the dashcam. Cheating does not change that.
  2. And then you would have been in jail, and would have deserved that.
  3. The foreigner was charged with assault, and I think that's the right charge...EVEN IF THE TUK-TUK DRIVE DID CHEAT HIM! Just because someone cheats you doesn't give you the right to assault him.
  4. ...and why would you call the tuk-tuk driver a "thief"? Why would you believe the foreigner's description of the incident over the tuk-tuk drivers? By the way, another forum reports that the foreigner in this case has been arrested.
  5. I am in Thailand and have lived here for over 20 years. The police are the police in Thailand. Your judgment of them doesn't change their authority. I would notify them if someone did something I considered illegal that greatly concerned me. In the case cited in this forum, 200, 500, or even 1,000 baht would not be of great enough concern for me to report it to the police. If the concern were over money, it would have to be much more than that, at least 5,000 baht or more like 10,000 baht or more.
  6. No one should act like this even if they KNOW they are being cheated. If that is the case, they should notify the police. They should not take matters into their own hands (fists). I am for real. My head doesn't wobble; it thinks. bill.
  7. It's the law in Thailand. Live by it or go home.
  8. No one should act like this, even if they were not given the change they thought they deserved.
  9. ...the ability to adapt.
  10. So, what's new? People are most often forced into joining a religion out of fear.
  11. If Hamas gave the hostages back, Israel's onslaught of Rafah wouldn't be stopped. It would just be delayed a week or so.
  12. Israel could stop the onslaught much easier if they wanted to...
  13. Only someone very cautious attacks unexpectedly from behind.
  14. "Notably, a tattoo of a koi fish marked his back, indicating that he had likely been dead for at least three days." What does this mean? 🤔
  15. I've understood you state false things all the time. Even if Israel attacked the GARAGE adjacent to the embassy, that's good enough for me to see it as an unprovoked Israeli attack. They say they thought the consultant was being used for purposes Israel didn't like. I"m sure Israel has people like this in all their embassies, consulates, and garages all over the world.
  16. I don't understand this. All the sources I read say Israel did attack the Iranian Embassy in Damascus, Syria. Although some call it a "consulate." I don't know the difference between an embassy and a consulate, but whatever it was, it was an attack on Iranian personnel and killed three people.
  17. Of course, you do. You support anything Israel does without ever considering the ramifications or the plight of the other side. But I've known that for a long, long time.
  18. I wouldn't say it was a "complete failure." Now, Iran knows the strength of Israel's defensive capabilities. That could either deter it from striking again, or it could have revealed weak spots in those capabilities. We'll know again soon if Israel decides to retaliate.
  19. It wouldn't be if Iran had used my tactic of killing three Israeli civilians. The Israeli public would be screaming loudly again, just like they are now about the hostages.
  20. Wrong. They all have a chance to learn to live with each other. Problems are caused by the belief that one side needs to win. When I used the phrase "...any chance of success" above, I didn't intend it to mean "win." I intended it to mean having enough leverage to negotiate a solution so that they can "live with each other." I assume that will be a two-state solution.
  21. I like the idea of thoughtful responses, we need more. Given Iran's surprisingly poor technological showing, Israel should announce they intend to fully support and protect the Irani people, and that all future responses will target only Iran's brutal regime. The generals targeted in Syria were just that. So was Qasem Soleimani in 2020. My point is neither Iran nor Hamas or any Arab country I know of can challenge Israel militarily. They have to use different tactics. Killing Israeli civilians using terrorist attacks or assassinations, and capturing and holding them as hostages are the only two tactics I think Iran and Hamas have right now that would have any chance of success.
  22. That's why I suggested that Iran instruct some of its operatives inside Israel to kill three Israelis. That would be more of a "proportional response" and probably more successful.
  23. I think Iran has taken the wrong approach. Assuming Iran has operatives in Isreal, here's what I think they should have done: - Readied all their missiles and drones and leaked information to Israel that they would release them at the same time at the same hour Israel attacked their mission in Syria on Apr 1. - Just before that time, increase all their military offensive preparation activity to focus Israel's attention on having their defensive forces ready. - At the time of the Apr 1 attack, have three of their operatives in Israel kill three Israelis- three Israelis for three Iranians. - There should be one in the north, one in the middle of Israel, and one in the south. - The three Israelis should consist of one elderly man, one young woman (preferably a mother), and one child about ten years old. - After these killings have been accomplished, Iran should declare its retaliatory action was over, had been successful to their satisfaction, and draw down its offensive weapons (keeping on the alert with their defensive weapons in case of offensive action from Israel.) That's what I would have suggested they should have. As an explanation, doing this would show Israelis: - They cannot depend on their superior military forces to protect them. - They are vulnerable wherever they are. - They are vulnerable whoever they are.
  24. He's a deranged narcissist.
  25. Yes, I would not want to torture another human being, but I was referring to Trump.
