    About 2000 to 2022. First house tripled in 2 years, next house about 80% growth. Big long slump in the middle for prices during GFC. Was mortgage free by age 35 and no need to work full time anymore. Was in north west UK.

    Good that those who got lucky with the property timing made tens of millions of baht, like me, upon sale. Little top up to the retirement funds is welcomed. So much cash though. What do we do with it. I'm too young to be spending it though but maybe the retirees feel different??

    Foolish are the people who need to double their money in a year or two. If i doubled mine, i'd still have 7 figures gbp, therefore no need for silly risks. Equity funds should x3 or x4 over 20 or 30 years.

    Documents are ready. Have ample capital to remit that is not assessable under local thai tax code. Also understand DTA's and was familiar with them prior to the announcements. Almost everyone on here doesn't even understand their principal purpose. They only recognise their intended outcome. I do tax professionally. I am the consultant!
