  1. I agree with the OP. Dim Sum is mostly underachieving globules of pork with a bit of hohum shrimp in the mix. Even at the high end, you will wish you had paid less for a proper entree than a sad collection of odds and sods. I have had it all over the world at every price and have never been wowed. I like the idea, but it’s wholly lacking in imagination. It’s like tapas (another letdown for the money) for try hards. Best to date was the W hotel in Silom. Good, but hardly great.
  2. Taylor Swift. She can throw the next election if she wants to.
  3. They invented the iron pot. Without which, we’d still just be pulling overdone meat out of the fire. So respect.
  4. It’s comical to read Trumptrash here parroting straight up Kremlin disinformation about wack stuff like cultural marxists somehow impinging on their manly freedom. 2 free Guinness pints to any piece of trash here who has met a self admitted cultural Marxist. I actually have. My ex stepson teaches Marxism at a high end college in England. For the Chinese students paying absurd foreign student rates to keep the lights on, it’s an easy A. Other than that, my life is as untouched by cultural Marxism as the average Maga genius who’s quaffing aquarium solvents to beat Covid.
  5. The dems are out-raising the Republicans 2 to 1. Even the Koch Brothers don’t want to toss their money down that futile well. They’d actually prefer to take it out to a field called Nikki Haley and burn it. Has Nikki Haley ruined Nikki-dom forever? Does she owe Nikki Sixx an apology? And he’s only going to get more crazy. How long will Trumptrash want pay millions for his sexual assault defamation claims? Other than forever? But those are dollars not available for campaigning. Luckily, he’s a magic billionaire who can fund his own campaign out of pocket without breaking a sweat. Just like he claimed last time. And then immediately reneged on.
  6. You live in cheapskate paradise. You can finally have some kind of sex with an agreeable, thin woman. Finally. Why so glum, Chum?
  7. Great. This board needs more Mormon representation. I just found out that you can easily google and stream the 10 hour version of Story of O. I suggest this only to people who do not need magic underwear for sex.
  8. The proud boys beg to differ. Sedition, insurrection, what’s the diff? And: In Col. evidence was put before a judge, to which Trump was free to respond. The judge ruled insurrection.
  9. No. imaging never happened liberal tears is simple delusion. Be nuts, whats it to me?
  10. Opium tea. You will sleep like the dead. Don’t drink too much of it with booze or that may turn literal. The only gym in the country is currently closed. Laos is still very Covid-like. Much of it is still closed, a lot of it will never reopen.
  11. You’re overly attached to your years old meme, and your fantasy object who looks at you like something he scrapped off his shoe. You could use a dose of tune out yourself.
  12. Do you believe that criminals are entitled to prosecutors and judges of their own specific political preferences? or do they just get what they get? If they commit crimes in blue states, should trials be moved to red ones to be on the safe side? Because that’s what Trump believes.
  13. 95% conviction rate on fed crimes. And he has 91 charges. They do not indict if they aren’t at least 95% sure they can convict. That’s a lot of well coordinated political persecution from coma addled Biden, huh? Are globalists and the deep state helping too? Let me laugh at you: Is he innocent of all 91 charges?
  14. You can clearly see her looking around first before her big wail. Not exactly spontaneous. Whatevs. You take pleasure in some chump’s torment. Very you. Me? Not so much. Can we come together as Trumptrash and Normie and express surprise that that’s a woman? I was sure it was a guy. So thanks, I guess.
  15. Waiiiit a minute. We live in Thailand. Where the average local could not reliably pick Trump out of a police line up. Where casual sexism abounds, where a lot of the men are a little in the fem side. Why this mania about wokeness etc. that will never touch us? Shut up and enjoy your coconut shake.
  16. Uh, totally fake. Watch the debunk video. just what won’t TrumpTrash believe? Not much.
  17. I’ve tuned out. I’ll reengage when he gets buried in his fraud case (or not, that tune out thing), and again for his defamation trouncing. And of course, for his doomed March traitor trial. But until then and in between, he’s gone dull, whiney, and very repetitious. His hat wearing goons are just retard losers hoping for a little attention. Hard pass. Even anti vaccine idiot skeptic’s get shown the door fast these days. We tossed someone out of our condo recently for telling us to do our own research. If he wins, my attitude will be that the young didn’t show and deserve the drubbing they will get in spades. And then I’ll tune out even more. If Biden wins, it will just be dull competency and the usual Repub stonewalling with nothing else to offer, so I’ll largely tune out in that case as well. As my fave Repub loon, Anne Colter, says, Trump killed off a lot of his old retard base with Covid. Sweet. Dems have added 3M new voters, and the repeal of Roe will bleed him dry in the suburbs. Just not enough toothless old Gomers that he somehow failed to convince to drink bleach in the sticks to counteract that. So the election will likely not be the nailbiter that sells ad space for the media. Call that tune out lite.
  18. I just booked my first ever $500 a night hotel room. The Sala in Koh Samuel. 4 nights. I am too young for don’t buy any green bananas, but too old not to worry about leaving money on the table for my dubious relatives post mortem. Most old people with a little bit of money are much thriftier than they need to be. They move well beyond security and into neurosis. Every financial planner agrees. Like my fave poster, Kuhn La, I have a heart attack fund, and also 2 years expenses in the bank, like my other fave poster, Laceset. Beyond that, there is no material difference to my life if I let more pile up or if I order the 2 kilo crabzilla at Ministry of Crab (about $300 with a bottle of white). I have done enough charitable good deeds in my life. I could kill a nun with an ice pick and still go to heaven. At this point, it’s time to order the crabzilla. They only get in about 2 a day. So if you want one, go early. Someone after me was bummed that they were sold out. Sweet.
  19. Skim my posts, I did it to death. Short version: the room is more expensive, they’re practically giving the food away. Bangkok Hospital just opened a branch in Vientiane, so an oldie might now consider it.
  20. What if you reinvent yourself and nobody cares?
  21. Another grievious injustice: After a year+ of living like a macrobiotic monk, am I more energetic, having better poops, sleeping better, happier? Have I ever enjoyed "the burn" post-gym? No. I can claim a small bump in self-esteem in that I'm taking care of myself responsibly. I can drag two 8-packs of big water bottles up 24 steps without stopping. If I can think of a third thing, I'll ping back here. Men's Health Magazine lied to me. I was gullible at the "she's only a cashier"-level. For example, post 65, weight lifting 3 times a week does less for you than 2 times a week, due to the need for old-guy recuperation. If you do yoga and weights, they both do a little bit less for you than if you did one full-on. Health is a funnel that can only handle so much input at one time. Past 70, that funnel definitely narrows. Be self-loving, pragmatic, and realistic. I'm at the gym these days to stay out of managed care, not to be more appealing to women. The only other thyroid advice I have is to take rest when you need it, for as long as you need it. Maybe learn some relaxation-breathing techniques if you're a bit Type A. It's not just the quantity of the rest, but also the quality. Learn what deep rest feels like. You already know what extraordinary fatigue feels like. Joe Rogan (who I hate worse than Satan) said that you should envision that you have X number of energy units a day and you should strategize to use them optimally. For Thyroid people, that goes double.
  22. Much empathy for your health issues. My anecdotal experience and internet reading tells me that thyroid problems like mine (100 msg of Euthrox a day) make it hard to lose weight and easy to gain it. It's discouraging that a year of gym-going and alcohol and carb restriction has resulted in only 7 kilo's lost -with progress at a standstill now for a while. The life-change that was sold to me by ripped abs male models in Men's Health Magazine is proving elusive. With calories as low as your's are, squeezing in more protein is hard. I try to pick wisely and abet my diet with a protein shake a day from 7/11, which I sort of regard as my dessert quotient -I haven't had a beloved mango and sticky rice in a year. Problem: protein is always very low in fiber, so I eat a small serving of pineapple a day. I guess that's 2 "bad" desserts a day. So shoot me. I hope you get a good response here because the thyroid blues is a common problem with no easy solutions.
  23. This attitude guarantees doom. There was a famous book called The Road To Serfdom. Your's is The Road to Simp-dom. The guys here who ended up in happy Thai-deals all say the say the same thing: Don't buy the first banana you see at the market. Get over here, check out all of the banana's. 95% of the misery tales here stem from disaterous banana one-itis.
