  1. With Dtac I was getting promo SMS at all times of the day and night. I went to their shop in central Plaza and complained quite politely that they were invading my privacy. That was 10 month ago, haven't had any since.

    .

I did the same with AIS.

  2. If they are not comfortable, they have the right to resign. Why should they tolerate it?

At the peak of their profession , doing everything according to their job description, getting fabulous reports on performance, why would they feel uncomfortable ??

    Tolerate what ??

Your doing great at your job you get a new boss, he would be more than happy to retain you, why jump overboard ?? afraid of what if your innocent.

Am I reading this right--you are not in favour along with these board members because it is not in there agenda to work under scrutiny ??

One suspects they are bailing because they have had their hands in till and with the new boss in town, who seems pretty serious about "cleaning up" Thailand only a matter of time before the heads of these companies are caught out

They might have been offered a get out of jail free card.

  3. Pleeaaaase, NCPO, come to KohChang and KohSamui, loads of Mafia here, much work to do (KohChang: 4km Songthaeuw-ride with 5 pax.: 2500 (!) Baht - (500 Baht p. person)). Please help us tourists out here!

Depending on how many of you there are, hire a motorbike about 200bt a day. That's what we done earlier this year, or a car for around 1000bt a day. Songthaew, on route 50bt each. This was Samui.

Sorry Jack they saw you coming.

  4. As for Rooney give 45mins, if he doesn't perform, he doesn't come out for the second half.

45 minutes wasted. Put him on the bench, if the rest can't do the bizzo, bring him on after 60 mins or so

He is still a world class player when he turns up. And an inspiration for the younger players. Even if it is so they can show

    him how it's done.

  5. Rather than drop Rooney from the starting line up. it is expected that he will take up a more central role up front, with Raheem Sterling moving over to the left hand side.

Why take the most effective player away from the position he played so well in last time out, and shove him out on the wing, simply to accommodate a glowering plug-ugly who has never delivered on the big stage? Roy?

    Uruguay 2-1.

Because Uruguay will be without there first choice full back Maxi Periera who was red carded in there previous game so I think whoever they bring in will really not like Sterling running at them with pace.

Also i thought Sterling tired in the second half of the game against Italy and was wasteful in possession. The Ox could replace him if the same thing happens tonight.

Suarez is definitely not 100% match fit and he needs tackling hard on that knee smile.png early on nothing like letting him know what to expect all game, although i will be surprised if he lasts the game.

    3-1 England

I read on MSN yesterday. Apparently Stirling said he is happy to play in any position they choose.

    How refreshing is that?

Whatever I would like to see him start. As for Rooney give 45mins, if he doesn't perform, he doesn't come out for the second half.

  7. Two weeks ago I was already on my way buying a RS Sun Box for the football championship.

But with all the news going around about the lawsuit I decided to wait.

Then suddenly my wife said that all games are free to the Thai people.

In our apartment we get a couple of movie channels and BBC World News and so on.

I think they have a satellite dish on the roof. We don't use a box whatsoever.

Usually I don't care since I don't need the TV that often.

I can see channel 8 and the players running around but the the quality is so bad .. it is not usable.

So please ... can somebody shed some light on this.

From Europe and the US I am used to Pay TV or Free TV.

If you try to watch a Pay TV channel without paying then you see NOTHING.

    But here I see something.

What do I have to do to watch the games like all other Thai people are supposed to do? ;-)

Try flicking channels one to zero or maybe an indoor ariel, about 200bt

  8. That corner just about sums up Rooney's performance tonight.

Was a good assist for the goal though.

    jb1

The GF just said England have to eat sticky rice and Som tum ?

    [/quote

    Haha!

Yes, it was a good assist for the goal but he didn't do much else.

I agree. But if they are not allowed to go forward we're stuffed. I'm bot trying to defend him but when you have 21 players in the England half for most of the game it tends to cramp you style.

  9. So what are people doing? Getting a few hours shut eye beforehand and setting the alarm early or soldering on all the way through?

I've had about 6hrs sleep in two days and if I carry on like this I won't make it to the last 16!

I'll be setting the alarm for 4am.

    Then it's

    EN-GER-LAND

    EN-GER-LAND

    EN-GER-LAND

Yep I will be sitting up in bed with my freshly laundered England shirt on.

  10. The news story says that the explosion occurred at 7:30PM near the police booth. Thai police responded to an "alert" at 9:30PM. Way to go Thailand. No Police must have been in the booth at this major intersection and it took others two hours to respond.

But they did rush to the scene with the Army.

After you. No after you. No I insist after you.

  11. A lot of backlash here against RS. If RS hadnt bought the rights from FIFA no one would be watching thee world cup in Thailand - end of.

    That is true.

If only the powers to be had sat down and sorted this out when RS first won/paid for the rights to show the World Cup instead of leaving it to the last few days going through the courts and causing chaos.

In buisness terms 700million is not such a big deal. Given the time they would have had RS could have sold sub licences and advertising. As the World Cup is such a massive tornament I am sure that the revenue from advertising alone would have covered their costs.

    Amazing Thailand??

    jb1

Just pass a very very simple law that national or regional international tournaments MUST be shown on free to air.

All done. Of course RS got the deal a while ago, so yes compensation is in order.

So you want Thailand to have a state funded broadcaster like the BBC?

Sent from my GT-S7270L using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

It works, Probably the best televison in the World and no advertising?

OK it comes at a cost.

But if people here get what they have spent the last few months screaming out for (no corruption)

Watch this space and open your wallet.

  13. Good call, well done the court for this decision

Yes lets not worry about the millions of Thais who can't afford TRUE or have the ability to live stream. Your compassion is overwhelming.

So Sparkles, did you buy the rights from Fifa so you can give away all the games to those that can't afford it? Seriously, don't you think Fifa is charging a pretty hefty fee and someone has to pay it, and by the sound of things, it isn't the Thai government, so why should a business entity pay for something and give it away at a substantial loss? I'm just, curious like..........................................

Or perhaps they could do the same as ITV in the UK. Sell advertising.
