  1. Yeah, most likely. Anyhow, moving on...
  2. I had taken a look but found it a bit impenetrable. But, based on your reply I took another look and found a different web site. This is the bit I looked at - https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/amdt1-7-5-8/ALDE_00013809/. The latest item on the link states "Speech may not be banned on the ground that it expresses ideas that offend". So, the Carlson guy didn't break any law, and Alex Jones must have lost for some other reason as he clearly wasn't outside of the 1st Amendment umbrella. So, my own question answered by Google.
  3. Sad to see such an amazing looking building going up in smoke like that. Glad there were no injuries to the occupants or the emergency services folks.
  4. As 'impulse' implied I am ignorant of many things, like we all are of course as we are (supposed to be) human. I am not that familiar with (or am ignorant of) how the Constitution and its amendments are applied in civil or criminal law. I understand that it is the 1st Amendment that protects the freedom of speech. But it seems not a complete protection of the freedom of speech, as Alex Jones may be aware after he was on the wrong end of defamation lawsuit for his Sandy Hook theories. So my question is, as the guy interviewed by Tucker Carlson is obviously wrong, and he'll clearly been upsetting people with his comments, how come he isn't sued or subject to criminal investigation? My guess is he can't be held criminally liable due to the 1st Amendment, but he clearly could be found liable in a civil case? Is that right?
  5. You going for its array of activities suitable for families?
  6. And everyone has the ability to stop watching or listening to Carlson and any channel that gives him air time. Stop giving him the oxygen of attention and in the end he'll fade back into the sewer he came from.
  7. I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 72 seconds
  8. I thought he was called Dave?
  9. OMG folks. It's the Daily Telegraph. The British equivalent of Fox News. Them writing a piece like this is as predictable as Fox bashing Kamala. Not that I disagree with the general message they are putting across. What they've done with the winter fuel allowance very much affects a significant number of oldies who are borderline poor, not tech savvy or too proud to apply for the benefit that would trigger them keeping this winter payment. I am not going to bother researching the other points made in the article to see if they are actually true or not. But let's just say they are. They highlight the typical hypocrisy and BS that all parties say or do. Every time they get it in. Whoever it is. If I could be bothered, I'd probably find the Conservatives did the same type of hypocrisy and BS. One thing I do remember well is the last Prime Minister, when he was Chancellor, allowing his wife to keep her offshore domicile tax allowances to save a shed load in taxes, and still doing nothing about that when she got found out. https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2022/apr/07/rishi-sunaks-wife-says-its-not-relevant-to-say-where-she-pays-tax-overseas And yes, what a surprise, The Guardian is the British equivalent of MSNBC. But nobody said it wasn't true, just that she didn't break any rules or laws. By her hubby made the rules...
  10. I wouldn't be upset to step out with Sophia. Not so sure about the professionally sculpted top photos. Still would be fascinating to have a chat though.
  11. I never went to any reunion, not my thing and I generally agree to your point. Too many a-holes or small minds, and doubt they've changed. But, last time I swung by that part of the world I made the effort to find and contact some of the more normal kids I remembered. In the end it was 2 women, 1 guy. The guy? Took us less than 2 mins to get back into the general piss taking and laughter that we always did. Bloody marvellous. Tons of history and stories to get through. Both ladies, one is married to the guy above, the other I met a different night. At school on a scale of 10 I'd say they were both a 7. Bearing in mind our ages? They are still both at that level. They've aged well, looked after themselves, had families, but enjoyed life. With none of the school time hormone fuelled BS we all got on really well. Not "that" well, they are both married and faithful of course. That, and the fact I was probably a 3 or 4... Or lower. 😇 Really happy I made some effort, well worth it. Still not going to a general reunion though.
  12. https://hongkongfp.com/2024/09/04/hong-kongs-cathay-pacific-races-to-replace-faulty-engine-part-in-grounded-airbus-a350-aircraft/ https://www.thestandard.com.hk/breaking-news/section/4/220121/Cathay-scraps-more-flights-with-A350-fleet-to-fully-resume-operations-by-Saturday Here are links to the latest info issued on Hong Kong news media web sites. Seems a professional response by Cathay to what could have been a very dangerous issue on that Zurich flight. Especially as they've found other engines with the same issue so saving many pilots, cabin crew and passengers from having brown trousers. I'm sure Rolls Royce is all over this issue too, and they'll be checking to see if the smaller version of this engine is at any risk whatsoever.
  13. Yeah, same goes for dental tourism. Had some work done in Bangkok recently. Very professional and high quality. Getting the same work done where I live (Hong Kong) would have been 5 times the cost, including considering flights and accommodation. And I got a holiday too. I'm getting my ears syringed soon. 1,500 Baht in Bangkok, over 8,000 Baht in Hong Kong (at today's exchange rate). Got a full medical done at Ruamjairak hospital earlier this year, 7,950 Baht (was a 50% off deal), same in Hong Kong would have been close to 100,000 Baht. Same level of professionalism too. Ruamjairak didn't do any of the crazy upselling that other hospitals have been known to do either. So, is a good article.
  14. There's been a lot of politicisation and bickering over Hunter Biden & Donald Trump's crimes and trials, in various media including AN. I don't give flying flock about politics when it comes to such matters. You do the crime you do the time. I don't give a sheet who you are. Not one single person should be above the law. And, doing drugs is absolutely ZERO excuse!
  15. What's the Spanish equivalent of a wai and a few baht?
  16. Well said Surapong Piyachote, totally agree. Next, please commit to getting these sentiments into all current and future construction projects. Every construction injury or death is avoidable.

  20. I happen to know that the Thai aviation Regulator is a highly professional organisation. Let's hope that the YouTuber is able to share these findings with them, including the names of those who appear not to have done their jobs.
  21. Who else could or should be in this band? Or could it get so big as to be the largest philharmonic orchestra in the history of the universe?
