Those who are using Shopee will have seen the recently introduced on time delivery option, or receive a 30 baht voucher. I have already collected a few, and discovered it's just a hoax, because you never can use them since they can not be used in combination with other vouchers. Every order I place, I will get either a discount or free shipping thrown in, each of them being valued higher than 30 baht, so the 30 baht voucher will never be used, unless you want to deceive yourself of a higher discount of course. So just another fake discount offered by Shopee.

I had 300K US$ and 320K Euro sitting idle in a Kasikorn FCD for almost a decade, but I considered it chump change. Got it? I made a wrong investment decision at that time, but even if it went to zero, I wouldn't have to reduce the size of my breakfast or move to Isaan to survive. I obviously don't have the investor knowledge most members on this forum have, but even at only 1.5% on my current savings in Thai banks, I'm sure the money gonna outlast me, and I don't even mention the funds in my home country accounts, so why take any risks

Reading in the OP the amounts insured with different companies, the 660.000 baht doesn't match up with those amounts by far. Now let's wait for the next news update where it is confirmed they actually have paid, because insurance companies will find something that excuses them from paying.

Maybe I have a bit more than 100K US$, and are actually spreading my investments. Ever considered that? In fact a multiple of the 100K was deposited in the FCD end of 2015, think the rate was about 37 at that time, with the intention to exchange when the rate would get better. Bad investment, as it only went down from that point. I exchanged parts of it in the last 12 months at better rates as Monday, but honestly made a huge loss on the whole amount. I know, all members here buy low and sell high, as it is just as easy as that, but I'm the exemption on that.

Thanks, for clarification, I never buy anything that I can't check before I pay, other than on the official sites which I mentioned. Never in my mind would I buy something on FB if I couldn't pick up myself and check before I part with my money. FB marketplace is one of the biggest online scams in the world, but they still get away with it

As far as I'm aware that has always been the case. With Lazada you would have 7 days to confirm your order, before the seller got paid. Recently they modified that, whithout much fanfare to the customer, and now you actually have to click extend after 3 days to make it 7 days. Shopee has always been 3 days, but you can extend it with 4 days, by clicking the extend warranty tab in the order page, so you have 7 days to confirm order received. So what has changed?

Only thing I'm gonna say is, all those ridiculing the poll are posting on a Thai forum. I wonder why, if Thailand was so bad to live. My guess is, a small part of those posters actually live here, and ran out of money so they can't return to the promised land (their home country) while the biggest part made it back home just in time, and ever returning is like a wet dream.

Visa applications are unrefundable anywhere in the world when declined. But which countries you are aware of the charge +2000 US$ for a visa application? And do you apply with a nongovernmental organization for those visas?

At the time of typing this post I would get about 33.20 from Kasikorn. I'm packing the Lao Dark I bought last week to return to shop, and get Archa instead
