  1. https://finance.yahoo.com/news/evs-are-giving-new-owners-more-headaches-and-tesla-is-a-big-reason-why-jd-power-study-180922855.html EVs are giving new owners more headaches, and Tesla is a big reason why: J.D. Power study J.D. Power's latest initial quality survey finds that EVs have more problems and higher severity of repairs compared to traditional autos. J.D. Power’s study tracks responses from nearly 100,000 purchasers and lessees of 2024 vehicles within the first 90 days of ownership, and for the first time in the study’s 38-year history, it incorporates repair visit data. Overall, internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles averaged 180 PP100 (or 180 problems per 100 vehicles), while battery electric vehicles (BEVs) averaged a whopping 266 PP100, 86 points higher than ICE vehicles.
  2. So what about the ABC news debate scheduled for September 10?
  3. Watching US CNN right now, which known to be left leaning, there are breaking news banners at the bottom of the screen. Dems saying, we have a problem after tonights debate. Dems concerned about Biden's poor performance in debate Aggressive panic for democrats after tonights poor performance Democrats official about Biden performance in the debate "nothing good" It is only the Biden cult on here that didn't see anything wrong
  4. Nominated for the clickbait post of the decade. Where is the evidence of the massive meltdown hours before the debate?
  5. Any updates on the repair status of the cables?
  6. Not true, being a fixed term deposit my bank book wasn't updated today (it was last updated 6 days ago with monthly interest on the 20th) Since you bank letter was dated on the same day you applied for the extension, they obviously didn't need bankbook update
  7. So will the family member now be prosecuted for unlicensed taxi?
  8. So if there are only 25% of Thai owners, how they gonna get 51% of the votes?
  9. oh now we know. Poor pensioner going to Emquartier to get aroused. Be sure to keep hands above the table
  10. Now that he's free he will have time to release the Big Guy papers
  11. After been locked up for 5 years, everyone looks forward to a pitstop at Nana
  12. An architect writes in the house plan all the specs of the materials to be used. Size and amount of steel, strength of the concrete, design of the roof steelwork and everything else. Where he gets those specs from you think? Where you think corners are cut? But how would someone who claims he built Thai style and at Thai prices know about quality.
  13. I only post my experience, I never said that you were wrong, so get off your soapbox. Bouncing may actually be the wrong expression, it is more like the truck feels stiffer than before. I changed steering rack and tie rods, upper and lower ball joints, all 8 cabin mounts, rear leaf spring rubbers and front stabilizer links
  14. If you don't have the time yourself, you should hire a supervisor, or you will be in for major surprises. Your architect will supervise if you pay him for that
  15. Do they also have the drain covers either few cm above or below the road surface?
  16. OCPB offices are in the main city-hall of Pattaya and Chonburi. Just visit the city-hall and ask the info desk for OCPB
  17. Not imagining anything mate. When I received the truck I could feel straight away that the steering wheel needed some force to turn. First thought it might be the new rack that has to run in. So went to check pressure and they had set it to 29psi all around. Changed it to 34 and steering wheel was fine, but then i noticed car was bouncing. Went back and changed to 32psi and while bouncing still exist, it was less. Maybe it is because of all new rubbers and it needs a few hundred km to settle
  18. Yes you should visit OCPB. As I presume from the OP that you are in the Pattaya area, you can try Pattaya, but I suggest you go to Chonburi right away. In the past Pattaya was very effective, but staff changed and they are less interested from what I hear. As with every agency in Thailand, you need to follow up or nothing happens. e.g, send an email, then a few days later call them to notify you sent an email.🙂
  19. You really need to dig up 7 year old articles to make your point? What a loser you are, and then I don't mean only in this thread, but every thread on any forum you engage in. Android boxes have never been illegal in Thailand, from a certain year they required an import licence, if you purchased from abroad.
  20. Yes those activists actually don't do real damage, they are smart enough to avoid jail, their main purpose is creating sensational news. Anyway, they are a pest. I think a few of them are active on this forum in the EV threads.
  21. I don't know if it can be done for free, but since it has to be in Thai language I guess you will need assistance any way. Doubt any court case can be started without a deposit. Every city hall in Thailand has an office of OCPB, so go talk with them, they are free and since it is a high value item will take care. I have involved them in a few cases in the past decade, and companies, big or small, are afraid of them. Companies who didn't even want to discuss with me, were eager to sort the issues just after the first contact. if OCPB sees a case in your claim, they take it to court, no expense for you
  22. Not wanting to hijack this thread, but I'm looking for quite the opposite. I have a Marantz 7.1 and a Pioneer 5.1 receiver, but they run damn hot and use a lot of power. Good for movies etc, but my music I play from a SSD connected to a tablet. For my background mucic, only 2 outdoor ceiling speakers and 2 indoor speakers are required, so looking for something cheap that can do the job. I looked on the usual online platforms, but what I find are mostly 2.1 and utter crap. Any suggestions
  23. Yes I agree that what we call a pickup truck in Thailand, is completely different from what is used in the N America or Australia. Wow, 7.3 litre diesel, need 3 pickup engines in Thailand for that
  24. What I certainly don't like about Shopee is that most of their vouchers are racist based. Right now, i have 17 vouchers, of which 15 are only valid for those who have registered for pay later. Vouchers for pay later registrants also offer higher discounts. Foreigners can't register for pay later.
  25. Are you sure that's how it works? I think once you have a tax ID, you'll have it forever, regardless how many days you are in the country some years.
