Take out this thug. Or just cut all of the subsidies given to Southern Rubber tappers.

    That is what started this.

The Rubber Road Blockages. When that did not work, the rest is history.

Lets pay the Rice Farmers, Please Election Comission as you do have the POWER to make it happen, the Gov. Pledge to buy the Rice.

and They did NOT Pledge to buy Suthep's "Rubber Stock" (That is what started all of this) btw coffee1.gif

Get real folks, The Dems and Suthep were in power to make these Reforms that now they are asking for, but they did what they always, do, nothing. Why is that?

    Just a little bump

  2. From the website:

Fee: 2,000 Baht includes visa & meal.

The info abut the price is consistent with the report in the German forum.

The information about the photo is contradictionary to (no photo needed).

That is the very best offer that I have seen on this forum.

For 1,300 Baht per person from Bangers and Mash to Phu Nam Ron the closest border crossing from Bangkok with a lunch of Western food? passifier.gif is OK, I think. facepalm.gif

The 700 Baht is for as ubonjoe mentioned many times before.

    Thank you ubonjoe wai.gif

So basically, if you have a full van then (10 people) 13,000 Baht per trip, looks good to me for a round trip of say 500 to 600 kms or a bit more thumbsup.gif

Or if you have a bunch of you that needs to do a visa run, hire your very own Mini-Van and visit Kan for a day or two.

  3. I think they will NOT vote for them again, the ones that did vote as you said, the Dems, as their Dem Party let this Country down and their own supports.

Me think it was more like 16 million as there are only approx. 46 million that have the right to vote and the PT got 20 million or so.

The rest went to the other Parties that contested in the Last Elections.

Please correct me if me sums are wong!

your sums are wrong.. 20 million voted in total that was including no votes, votes for other candidates (seemingly there were 54 parties in the election) and invalid votes..

Sorry for not being Very Clear on this matter.

I was referring to When the Dem Party contested in their Last Elections coffee1.gif

Thank you for your post by the way thumbsup.gif to clear up the mess that I made in me the quote above facepalm.gif

    2. There are not 70 million voters in TL

I said population of 70 million (the people).

And the Dems stopped 20 million people voting? Wow, gotta give them credit.

And any Dems who did vote won't have voted PTP.

    Hi Win.

I love this shot especially the cloud formation. The only thing that detracts from it is the bright wooden railing in the bottom right corner. It really pulls the eye there.

    Hi David,

    Thank you for your C&C,

The reason why I left it there was that Folks can see the Depth of Field in this Photo.

Peaceful protesting is his constitutional right. Where is the proof he ever incited violence? There is none that I can recall, he always told his people not to be violent, which is some cases he was unable to control.

If anyone is being political, it is Nopparat Banjawattanan.

This defrocking will be seen as totally political.

    Only in Thailand eh?

    Quote

Mr. Nopparat added that the Abbot Council has concluded that Buddha Issara had violated the regulation of the Sangha Supreme Council by engaging in political protests

    Please read that.

    * take advantage of the growing disaffection of the rural poor with PTP and devise policies that promise them a better life (why haven't they already done this?)

    * broaden their appeal in the above way and stop relying on the elites and southerners for support - Thailand is not only Bangkok & Hua Hin.

    * stop relying on coups (military or judicial) to provide power and consistently use democratic channels to power (not just when convenient)

In this way, they can become emblematic of REAL meaningful democratic values - of course, reforms are necessary to achieve a fair system, reforms which prevent both PTP, Dems and others from abusing politics for thier own benefit (Not only Thaksin but Dems like Suthep have been doing this for years, feathering their own nests).

The Dems with Suthep were in power in 2008 to 2010, facepalm.gif so why did the Reforms that are being asked/demanded by them not taking place during their term in the office. whistling.gif

    Makes me wonder! coffee1.gif

Wonder what would happen if the total number of people who vote NO is greater that the number of votes PTP might get? A legitimate goverment with a mandate from the people.

The problem with this election is there are a very significant % of the population who have no one to vote for as the Dems aren't running. Remember they polled 12 million or so last time out.

So irrespective of the rights or wrongs of the Dems boycotting the election which is a separate issue. A large part of the voting public simply have no one to represent them.

So we end up with a democracy where a significant chunk of people are not represented. Fair?? Honest?? Right??

That's what Suthep should be doing.. VOTE NO

For the last week He should have been saying that this is the way to oust them, play them at their own game. Have the elections but lets all stand up and say NO..

    To late now..unfortunately

  11. I will try at the end of March because I actually would like to visit Burma from what I understand it is not a crossing border that one is farther north. Again I am just going on what we were told because we had no problem with driving in a few hours and seeing some of Burma for the day. You know how it is with these places ask 50 different people get 100 different answers.

Remember that they drive on the right.
