  1. Excellent piece of perception there. Occam's razor. If it acts like a duck, it is a duck.
  2. Yeah, the markets didn't wait until after Trump was elected. Once they figured out he was odds on to win (the betting markets were a clue as well) the dxy and 10 year yields started on a tear. There was a bit of a fake move on the day of the election but after the buyers got suckered in for about 2 days the dxy and us 10 year started back up again. They had been rising since mid September. That must have been the first insider sniff of the way the wind was blowing.
  3. How do you know?
  4. Ghee. High flame point and nutritious. Never use seed oils. https://omghee.com/blogs/news/health-benefits-of-ghee
  5. Older folks find it difficult to eat a sufficiently diverse range of foods to get their RDA's without resorting to supplements. Protein in particular.
  6. I have seen that advice about mouthwash extended to antacids and pantaprazole as well.
  7. This is a good list. I would add protein powder, creatine and glycine to it. I drink a protein shake made with soy milk everyday from these with some unsweetened drinking cocoa and moringa powder added. Additionally, I take nattokinase but I am not going to suggest it has changed anything. I'm not dead yet so maybe it does work.
  8. We did. The same thing happened when Trump won last time. In the immediate aftermath of Trump’s victory, markets reacted predictably with higher Treasury bond yields, stronger equities, and a firmer dollar, reminiscent of the 2016 post-election response. By Thursday morning (AEDT), Treasury yields continued to climb as traders scaled back expectations for substantial Federal Reserve rate cuts over the coming year. The benchmark 10-year Treasury yield rose to 4.479 per cent, its highest since July. https://www.investordaily.com.au/markets/56127-trump-s-policies-stoke-inflation-concerns-at-home-and-abroad
  9. According to a 2023 reviewTrusted Source, some people have reported neurological side effects after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, but these effects are generally minor and temporary. Still, rare reports have involved serious neurological conditions Reports of peripheral neuropathies do not prove that the COVID-19 vaccine is the cause https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/peripheral-neuropathy-and-covid-vaccine#potential-link
  10. If it was "with" there would be no excess deaths.
  11. No, I preferred Wham and Smash. Those same policies, however, have been met with unease among bond investors, who fret about government largess and the resurgence of inflation under the president-elect. That concern has been reflected in rising yields on government bonds, which means investors expect to be paid more in interest in exchange for lending to the government. Those began to climb weeks ago, as investors anticipated a Trump win, and on Wednesday the yield on 10-year Treasury notes jumped as much 0.2 percentage points, a huge move in that market. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/11/07/business/bond-market-trump.html
  12. So you believe the recent rise is not related to the election then?
  13. How not to understand a scientific paper. The genetic modification was not performed on the virus, it was performed on the mice to allow them to be used as a proxy for bats for research. Furthermore, the request seems to have been made well after coronavirus emerged.
  14. I believe that is the likely outcome. Either Russia wins or Ukraine wins. Russia won't stop at the current front lines anyway. The appeasers to Putin seems to have only one argument. Ukraine can't win so cede the land Ukraine has in exchange for peace. The only other possible position is to believe Ukraine should surrender their whole country to Russia. The Russian appeasers will not admit that they believe that so they try to convince us that Putin will call it draw and stop at the status quo which I believe is highly unlikely. I have never heard anybody articulate a different position that involves stopping the war. I don't believe you have one either. And to your precise question, it is my opinion and I think my analysis lines up with a lot that I have read. I don't have to explain why I think what I think. I am not stating a historical fact, I am forecasting the future.
  15. Put them right off, they won't do that again. The latest Saudi Arabia solar power project is part of a massive $US100 billion investment in solar energy which will deliver an estimated 41 GW of renewable energy by 2032. According to this 21/1/2014 SMH article, Saudi company Abdul Latif Jameel has teamed up with Spain’s Fotowatio Renewable Ventures in a three-year venture to build solar power plants worth $US130 million each in the desert kingdom and the Gulf region. https://www.solarquotes.com.au/blog/solar-narks-worst-nightmare-saudi-arabia-solar-power-project-ushers-renewable-era/
  16. You accuse me of lying but won't say what your position is. I stand by my assertion that you believe this is just a matter of some territory to assuage Russia.
  17. So what do you think Ukraine should do other than just cede the territory Russia has now?
  18. Lying about your views? Where did you get that? I gave a view of what I think will happen to the US vis a vis Russia and you asked me a question about Biden. I responded and asked you if you had an alternative big picture view so you tell me I'm misrepresenting you. Are yuou one of Trump's lawyers?
  19. It'll be legal tender by September.
  20. Not likely. Biden will do nothing and nothing he can do would win the war in a month. Try a slightly higher altitude look and see what you can come up with. While many, yourself included appear to view this conflict as just some territory that Ukraine could concede to Russia to end it, other European nations have a more nuanced view of the situation and regard it as existential. I'm looking at Poland, Finland, Moldovia and others here.
  21. We know that European countries will keep supplying Ukraine long after the US stops. They can't win but they won't immediately give up. This will create enormous tensions between Europe and the US which will be forced to choose between Europe and Ukraine or Russia and Trump. I think it won't be long before a decison to stick with Europe is made and the consequences will follow.
