  1. Depends on how much you have. Many people in the USA don't consider $300 that much. It's not unusual to meet millionaires in the San Francisco area and it's not a big deal.
  2. have you tried visiting some other locations? it's easy to get stuck here out of laziness especially as you get older. it's going to be easier to do that now. the longer you wait the more difficult it seems to be...
  3. Please watch this video and let me know what you think. It should answer your question.
  4. They had fur.
  5. A lot of them are prostitutes. They will ask for money and offer to do the deed.
  6. It was never close anyway. Any discussion is just to benefit one side and the exchange is never equal or fair.
  7. I agree with you. Brings back memories of cafeteria in school, but the students are much older now. There must be some real success stories there at the 50 year reunion.
  8. Form 709 gift tax return. They just started to allow it to be electronically submitted in 2025 though.
  9. A lot of them are prostitutes.
  10. Food court is still open.
  11. I got so tired of reading the stupid bickering on this thread that I unfollowed.
  12. His major voting base was lower income and low educated white people. They are easily duped and fooled. They were having financial difficulties and Trump came in as a type of savior, creating a scapegoat and funneling votes his way. One really needs to watch out when a savior appears. It's often masking something else underneath that's not really about saving you.
  13. That's sad about the Dairy Queen. Gone now. Also, the lady who sold those secondhand shirts in front closed shop awhile back.
  14. I think some of the generals refused orders awhile back in D.C. Was it during the parade? Anyhow, they are going to start refusing to deploy if it looks unconstitutional. Military should not be deployed on domestic soil and the generals know this.
  15. The area I'm in a real pair of shoes is a luxury.
  16. Mindset has a lot to do with success. When you dress well and refuse to be a grungy guy, you tend to succeed more because you feel like you can afford to not be a poor expat. Ditto with the company you keep. That's why a lot of guys let themselves go over here. They move into a skint area because the cheap rooms sound cool, hang around a lot of poor local people, and actually end up that way, even if they had resources when they arrived. Dressing sharply is a way of changing that environment and mindset.
  17. An airline ticket.
  18. I noticed that. I sometimes get weird looks wearing long pants. I even caught some guys staring at my shoes (an envy type of stare). They were nice sneakers and not cheap flop flops or sandals. When just wearing a decent pair of pants looks unusual it may be time to trade up.
  19. I need to for tax forms. Certain forms can only be submitted by mail. If I remember correctly they need to arrive by US Mail as well, not FedEx or UPS.
  20. Good point. It's like wearing a pair of new tennis shoes instead of beat up flip flops so maybe looks out of place in my area. It may have something to do with my low rent area in Pattaya where locals are kind of scratching by. Some guy with nice sunglasses walking around looks a little stand-offish like he wants to be special.
  21. It WAS a detached villa. He was just in the next over. Just needed more land and an iron gate. I knew the guy socially so knew what he was up to.
  22. It's possible. What is more likely is it was another one of those guys who does not belong in a tropical country who sits in an a/c room all day drinking wine and watching golfing and leaving occasionally to go eat at the expat food restaurant or go to some overpriced wine tasting shop... My old neighbor tried that and he lasted about 6 months before giving up entirely and moving back to California...
