  1. To show the validity of this poll, A random poll of people on the street was done. But instead of using the names of the people that Trump selected, they put in random names, including Charles Mason and Laura Croft. Over 70% said they believe he made good choices.
  2. A wee bit confused are we? https://www.wilsoncenter.org/article/infographics-arms-trafficking-across-us-mexico-border
  3. My Thai wife is very sensitive to alcohol and over-the-counter painkillers. A couple of years back while working lawn maintenance alone at one house, I get a call from her boss that something is wrong with her. I drive to where she worked to find her on the ground unable to walk and mumbling something about cake. I drove her to the emergency room. But before we went in I got a call from the homeowner who explained that she had given her some marihuana brownies. The owner had explained to my wife about what was in the brownies but my wife's English was very poor and didn't understand. I drove her home. She was in a bit of a panic at first since she thought she was having a stroke. She was fine afterward and said she might try it again. She never has.
  4. I'm pushing 79. Just finished building a pole barn with an 81 year old. I still work on the roof, climb the ladders. Some ask why I still do it. I say someday may be the last time---- but that won't be today, looking forward to tomorrow. You have to keep moving to be happy.

  6. Yes once. I loved the girl with all my heart but we got to a place where we were always in disagreement. One day while I was riding in her car, we got into one of the never-ending arguments. I said "I think it would be best if you let me off at the next corner". I went home, packed my car and left the state. I left everything I couldn't get in the car and left her a note saying she could have everything else. That was 50 years ago and I was young. Much easier to do then. Believe it or not, she is still one of my best friends.
  7. My mother used to put a cube of cheddar cheese in her coffee. It would melt, and she would eat it with a spoon. I don't know why. I have never tried it.
  8. Because of the damage done by the tariffs, Trump lost Illinois (the nation's largest soybean-growing state) to Biden by a 17% margin in 2020. You keep deflecting. I pointed out what unforeseen consequences happen. We open a can of worms when we think we are in control of the worlds market. By your answer, I believe I know some of your other "personas"
  9. Well, as luck would have it for all soybean farmers the world around. The Russians attack Ukraine, sending the price of soybeans sky-high. Prices are expected to begin dropping next year.
  10. One example of Trump playing with tariffs https://www.cnbc.com/2018/10/11/trump-trade-war-delivers-farm-boom-in-brazil-gloom-in-iowa.html
  11. Can anyone imagine the cost per head to catch feed, house, and deport a million illegal immigrants a year? Just for some of them to slip back in through our 1000 mile+ border. I also agree about the tariffs.
  12. Social Security and Medicare are the cans that both parties kick down the road. Neither party has the guts to fix them.
  13. You should give a link for that as I haven't seen any mention of firing squad.

  15. I remember the days when they still had squat toilets on the trains. Trying to relax as you held onto the walls while being tossed side to side.
  16. Ah, A brit. An old one at that! 😄 I'm not a Brit, but I loved that show.
  17. Someone forgot to tell them he wants to convert their habitats into oil fields.
  18. They may or may not. Do you want to take a chance? A photo of your cc is of no use. This is more helpful. https://onwardticket.com/

  20. I still don't understand why there wasn't all the drama back when G Bush was president.

  22. I'm afraid I have to disagree that there aren't any jobs in the US. My Thai wife and I go back every year. I am 78 and still can find work. I'm just finishing building a pole barn, one of the other guys is 81. I have a friend back in S.C. who gets bored sitting at home and goes out and gets a job that he gets bored doing (forklift driver, meat cutter, bussing tables, to name a few this year) and in a few weeks finds another, he is 67. My wife got a job doing lawn maintenance for 22 an hr. Housing has gotten expensive, but where I live you can get a two-bedroom apartment for 1400 a month. Even with the high price of food and rent, my wife and I save more money in 5 months than we spend in Thailand in over a year.
  23. There is a remote chance that the car was transporting someone in need of medical attention and tried to stop the ambulance for help.
  24. The land that he owns next door-- is it worth a trade?
