    Because the people in these countries can't afford American products, tariffed or not, it would be a win/win for them to drop their tariffs if they get tariff-free trade with the US out of the deal.

    More than likely, just as the driver of a motorcycle only needs to wear a helmet. Maybe it is only the driver or front seat passengers. There are no seat belts in Tuk-tuks or beds of trucks either.

    It reminds me of when a few years ago I took a shortcut that led me behind a store in Mexico where I saw these kids filling old water bottles with a hose. They would then put a touch of super glue on the cap I guess to make the bottle feel like it hadn't been opened.

    That depends, because the reverse osmosis filter needs a lot of pressure to push the water through, some systems store a few liters to dispense.

    They will give a ticket at traffic stops if you don't have it on. I wouldn't think they would cut them off.

    No, 6 hrs is good for me. I can still work on the roof, although I know if I fall--- it's the end of me! It is a bit of mind over matter. I guess I refuse to accept my age.

    Same here. I work construction in the US for 6 months missing the rainy season here and the winters back there. I am also 78. People ask me why I still do it. I tell them one of these days will be my last day of work, it just isn't going to be today. I enjoy the work!

    As I mentioned in another post. I know of one woman who had a 10 year tourist visa that was allowed in, but was told her 10 year visa was being voided and she would have to reapply. I don't think you will have a problem.

    Too many burned people here. Life is risky, sure, but don't believe everyone has had the same luck as you or the people you choose to hang with.

    My wife and I live on what would be poverty in the States. She had the property, I paid for the house. We live on my SS check and I am getting richer by the day from my savings and investments. If the woman has a house, I think she would be happy for the 40,000+bht a month.

    I just saw the video of the arrest at Tufts. It looks like 7 masked ICE arresting an international graduate student at Tufts on the street. They handcuffed her and took her away. Neither the school nor her lawyer know where she is at. Her visa was terminated without her or the school being informed. Her crime was signing a petition asking the school to condemn Israel's attacks in Gasa.

    We have some growing here. I couldn't find a translation from Thai. My wife says there are two kinds, one very sour (somsa) and the other (somking) sweeter. They make desserts with it.
