  1. Yes it is. I have stopped going to the KFC US. The amount of salt they put on the chicken is a crime.
  2. KFC Thailand is a whole lot better than KFC US
  3. This is interesting. As you know AP and Reuters are barred from high level news meetings, but Tass which is not on the approved list managed to get inside and live-stream the meeting. Guess what? No one knows how they got in🤮
  4. It was years ago, but the account that the government check was sent to at Bangkok Bank could only be accessed at the counter. Since I still have a US bank account I have it sent there now and use Wise for transfers.
  5. I was only making a point the "Russia saved Europe" only because Russia and Germany had a falling out.
  6. https://daviscenter.fas.harvard.edu/insights/soviet-role-world-war-ii-realities-and-myths "The war in Europe began on 23 August 1939, when the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany signed a pact that created a partnership between them in dividing up Poland and the rest of Eastern Europe. Under the terms of this pact, the German Wehrmacht moved into western Poland on 1 September 1939, and the Soviet Red Army moved en masse into eastern Poland sixteen days later. Great Britain, which had signed a bilateral defense treaty with Poland earlier that year, declared war against Germany as required by a secret protocol to the treaty. However, the protocol, as we now know, applied only to defense against Germany, not against any other country. Similarly, France, which also had signed a bilateral defense treaty with Poland that expressly applied only to Germany, declared war against Germany hours after Britain did. But neither the British nor the French government declared war against Russia."
  7. If you have seen the framing of those buses to keep the weight down you would not be surprised that the undercarriage crushed the upper carriage in a rollover.
  8. He needs to keep his eyes on the road instead of admiring himself in his rearview mirror.
  9. In 14 months, the Russians gained an area about 2.5 times the size of Bangkok. Most of that area is empty fields. They have lost a good portion of area to the Ukranians in their own country.
  10. A friend of mine died about a year ago. A few months later, his Thai wife asked me to help renew her PP. She had lived in the US for 20 years but for some reason when she got her PP, she wasn't given a full 10-year PP. She had to go in person to the embassy in Bangkok to apply, and then again to pick the PP up. It appears that her PP was not renewable and she had to apply for a new one.
  11. It was said about a year or so ago that Russia could sustain this war for another 2 years. The Russian people are just beginning to feel the pain. There is talk that there will not be enough manpower coming to this spring harvest. Russia needs this war to end as much if not more than anyone else. https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2025/02/14/russias-central-bank-holds-key-rate-at-21-says-inflation-pressures-remain-high-a88013
  12. Trump is already helping Russia. Since his speech the Ruble has gained 7% to the Dollar.
  13. That is the Trump Whitehouse claims not proof. Just for fun I picked just one and found this https://newsfactsnetwork.com/fact-check/fact-vs-fiction-usaid-funding-for-a-transgender-comic-book-in-peru/
  14. I read somewhere that for the heart it is best to sleep on your left side. I mostly sleep on my right, a pillow helps. I had GERD bad for months years ago. I did most of the things that were supposed to help, I took over-the-counter meds, and prescription meds, ate bland foods, and started sleeping in the LazyBoy. None of it helped. Then a nurse told me to stop taking the meds and just carry a bottle of water with me and just SIP throughout the day. I don't know why but in around 3 weeks it was gone and never came back.
  15. I know this is a bit old post. But at this point none of these meet the hype. Here are some expensive ones that most of the reviews were not so good. https://www.timekettle.co/products/w4-pro-ai-interpreter-earbuds?gQT=1 Years ago I had a friend who lost all his hearing and I was looking for something to help him I came across these Sony glasses that they have been working on since 2014. The last update, that I can't find, said they were working on translating of both audio and overhead translation of the spoken and written text. This is an old link from 2014. https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=sony+overhead+display+glasses#fpstate=ive&vld=cid:c77e6cc8,vid:D0SRBwF6jxs,st:0
  16. It is just one more way the rich can grease each other's palms
  17. You said something about lobbyists? https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/bondi-ends-fbi-effort-combat-foreign-influence-us-politics-rcna191012
  18. I have also considered that. With all this cost-cutting, why send money to people to spend in another country? A red-blooded American wouldn't want to live anywhere else.😞 Also an easy target. Not many back in the States would really care.
  19. But it is just more of the lies that Trump likes to put out there. Like the "beautiful " water he released from N. Cal. for L.A.. There isn't even a physical connection from that source https://www.ktvu.com/news/president-trump-discusses-unscheduled-water-release-from-california-dams
  20. The money was used for two field hospitals that did a lot more than give out condoms. The IMC said in a press release that it has received $68,078,508 from USAID to support its operations in Gaza since October 7, 2023. They said the resources were used to operate two large field hospitals currently located in central Gaza—one in Deir Al Balah and one in Al Zawaida — offering a combined total capacity of more than 250 beds, including 20 in the emergency room and 170 in the surgical department. These facilities have provided around-the-clock medical care to about 33,000 civilians per month. The IMC said that since January 2024 it has provided healthcare to more than 383,000 civilians who had no other access to services or treatment, including performing about 11,000 surgeries. According to statistics provided by the IMC, they also assisted in the delivery of some 5,000 babies, screened 111,000 people for malnutrition, treated 2,767 for acute malnutrition and distributed micronutrient supplements to 36,000 people. Refugees International President Jeremy Konyndyk, who oversaw USAID’s COVID-19 assistance portfolio for the Biden administration, refuted Trump and Leavitt’s claims Wednesday on X. “USAID procures condoms for around $0.05 apiece,” he wrote. “$50m would be ONE BILLION condoms. What’s going on here is NOT a billion condoms for Gaza. What’going on is that the bros at DOGE apparently can’t read govt spreadsheets.” https://apnews.com/article/gaza-condoms-fact-check-trump-50-million-26884cac6c7097d7316ca50ca4145a82
  21. I don't know. I see a beachfront hotel and golf course in Gaza's future.
  22. So, who would get the land? Trump or Israel.
  23. There are many ways this will play out. Canada could double the, what was it, 150 lbs of fentanyl that was caught crossing the border last year and Trump could claim a win.
