There are a couple of companies in Bangkok who supply labour to oil and gas and construction companies in the eastern industrial area. As such they have more than enough Thais employed to provide foreigners with work permits, at a price. So then one can work legally at an engineering job for a small company which doesn't have enough Thais per foreigner.

What job and where. I think that will help others to suggest. Engineering and Bangkok? Can help with that.

I don't really need any information but I simply wait until I need some government document and then go to the relevant office and ask. This is why I chose to live where I do and not on some farm or mountainside 60+ kms or further from government offices. Or in a place where the queue at immigration is around the block.
