Not quite, as noted and seen the overwhelming majority of these "tourists" are Thais. Before they "improved" Pattaya beach (the destruction of the promenade and beach side pickup/cars parking ...) July/August was a mini high season for Europeans. All these extended holidays and happy **** events on weekends to attract Thais are now required to make up for the long gone Westerners

I assumed that in the above context that unbelievable would obviously apply to the fact that there is no information on the circumstances of what happened. And that was almost a week ago. So it's even more unbelievable now. I mean what ** is going on here,?

Well with some of the Thai locals that the foreigners have to put with I dare say those attitudes are a two way street. Plenty of examples in the Pattaya news section.

Never been to Chiang Mai, about all they can do there is eat and sleep. Pattaya is special case: the large expat communities seem very segregated. Besides interaction with the Thai ladies the expats don't interact with the other locals whatsoever. Then all the criticism and condescending comment's on the internet forums about Thais year in year out from foreigners does not help. It's obvious to Thais in Pattaya that most males here are for the girls and could care less about everyone else. So don't expect to win any popularity contests.

So any update on the circumstances of what happened to the Australian teen on ko tao ???. Unbelievable,!

Don't be blaming the girls on this Hoss. The girls are taken out of school at about 12 by the family in order to work on the farm. And the babies: What is she supposed to do ?

All the authorities have to do to stop crime long the promenade would be to take away the lady boy horror show and round up the other local lowlifes like they do in other seaside resorts. ( And why are the authorities not doing this ????) This destroy it to save it / throwing the baby out with the bathwater is not good for tourism. Sure is good for the contractors and kickbacked. That also can be said for that parking garage and concrete monstrosity at Lam pho seafood market

Sure enough let's ruin the promenade to attract tourists, Can't have anymore of this. FYI alot of tourists like looking at the hookers, why do you think walking st is an attraction? Actually it is the Thais who are ashamed of the rap Pattaya has who are behind this destroy the promenade agenda

So let me get this straight: What previously was a nice environment , see photos ( with no "drunks and bottles strewn all over" A nice environment that attracted the Europeans in July and August,mini high season. Now the city;-contractors transform that nice area into a glorified road with locals on motorbikes, pickup parties.The Europeans stopped putting up with that ****show . And by the way most tourists not here for the girls only go to that area in daytime. In another topic the beach venders complained about lack of business because of parking. That is not the problem. Look again at before/after photos and have some coffee.
