The government needs to disband the CCSA before they ruin the county
Your plans have been spoilt because Anutin suddenly realised Omicron is the new Covid variant......for the last few weeks he thought all the talk was about the new model Toyota 4 door sedan and so has been all this time pondering on what the new taxis are going to look like.

Thailand needs high quality tourists
If you want high quality tourists you need to provide high quality services eg
High quality ladyboys who pick pocket you in the streets, not old uglies
High quality immigration officers that fleece you if you want to stay longer,
High quality gem scams instead ofd the tired ones at Wat Po
High quality national Parks where double pricing robs you blind
High quality bar girls who actually go to the hotel with you after instead of only scamming you for drinks and tips all night
High quality coral you can touch before hitting you with high quality fines
High quality jet skis yo get scammed for repairs even though you only sat on it for holiday snaps
High quality drains to fall down or low power lines to decapitate you
The list goes on and on.

Everywhere is a black spot for Thai drivers ! I wonder what the excuse will be next year , we have worn out brake fail , trees on the line and elephants crossing , barriers coming down at the wrong time at crossings.
Could be snow on the road but deffo. not up here.
No the latest is mistaking the accelerator pedal for the brake apparently, according to recent accident reports.

This is another proud example of Prayut's untiring work in cleaning up corruption in Thailand.

If they stopped arresting and jailing the mules and followed them to the Bosses it might have a better result.
Shooooosh! You get into trouble talking like that around here.

why don't you just have the right amount ready? you know the delivery is coming within the hour so have cash ready.
Reminds of an American who got off a baht bus and expected to pay with a 1000 baht note
Agreed. Lazada's confirmation of order email clearly states simple steps of what you have to do next, like they are writing to a 2 year old, including that you need to have exact amount ready for the driver. And as others have said you have days to organise the cash before delivery so no excuse really.
I am a regular buyer on Lazada and my wife is a seller. She uses Flash, who are excellent, after giving Best (what a joke) the flip. Likewise for me, as a buyer, Flash always come through. I wouldnt waste my time with Kerry, always problems such as often dropping my orders off where ever they like in the village (now I only use COD) or goods showing up crushed even though covered in fragile stickers.

I'm surprised Thailand has room for another hub.....a bit like the never ending inactive posts the naughty police are sent to lol!

Yes I have an Australian PP account. I used it for some online purchases 2 days ago and although I wondered if I would have problems it went through no probs.
I do get a lot of scam fake emails purporting to be from Paypal saying my account has been suspended but I forward them to PP although I never hear from them. Anybody else experiencing this?

"The Rescue"
Interesting point that in the documentary was quickly passed over.
After all the options had been considered, the British team decided the only way to get the boys out was to drug and dive them out, so they wouldn't panic and drown, someone casually mentioned to the team leader that this had better work or they would be in serious trouble with the Thai judiciary.
The response from the team leader was that secret arrangements were in place that if things did go wrong the team would be whisked off to somewhere safe and out of the country ASAP.Yep I reckon they would have been taken out via the Yingluck/Boss Highway lol!

Yes its black snow season here again. Woke up this morning to the verandahs all covered in black soot from the 'banned' (lol!) practise of burning the sugar cane fields in the district.
This banning reminds me so much of the irresponsible way the govt handled the start of the covid pandemic. They ordered all bars, restaurants and entertainment venues to close but without providing any solution as to how the thousands of now unemployed were going to survive. This in turn sent thousands back to their home villages increasing the spread of covid.
Banning the burning of corn and sugar fields is being handled the same way, as no viable alternative is being put forward however as there is no real money involved in this crime the authorities just look the other way.

Sorry if it's been mentioned already, "The Rescue" the long awaited cave rescue has appeared.
Available with subs on RARBG:-
The Rescue - 2021 - IMDB Rating 8.3
A chronicle of the enthralling, against-all-odds story that transfixed the world in 2018: the daring rescue of twelve boys and their coach from deep inside a flooded cave in Northern Thailand.
Haven't watched it myself yet, but interesting subject and a 8.3 rating it should be quite watchable ????
Just finished watching this doc, excellent coverage and very gripping.

Me too. The PDF had fields missing that i filled in on the application. (3 days and still pending).
Me three, I definitely put the house numbers in but when they werent in the PDF I thought maybe I put them in the wrong box. It doesnt really matter....this form, the app, and all the other red tape we have to go through is all designed to keep us criminal farangs busy having less time to get up to mischief!
I'm pending since yesterday morning. Wish the old online reporting was still up as I seem to have been one of the lucky ones as it always worked for me and I always got an immediate approval (maybe my Imm Office was one of those on auto approval as someone else mentioned earlier).

I was able to register this morning no probs, email replies instantly to my inbox (not spam). Checked status of application and it says pending so will wait to see if successful.
I was surprised I wasnt asked anywhere for arrival card number (only the date) which is usually a must......or did I miss something?

The head of Thailand's tourism authority said that when the final numbers are tallied half a million foreign tourists will have visited the country this year.
Really? In all the years I have listened to this dept. I got the distinct impression no-one there could count nor use a calculator properly

I would have thought the news of the new variant coming out of South Africa, which scientists are saying is 'horrific' and 'worrisome', would be more befitting of Breaking News than this dribble.

I am just curious and I'm sure many are already asking this question,, but does it really not seem obvious to the authorities? I mean so many fires in the past couple of years, or so, have been repeat fires? How many times does lightning strike twice in the same place? It just doesn't happen. One place where a fire happens twice maybe could happen, but would seem suspicious. But I can think of at least three places where a fire has struck twice, at each of them in the last year or two. There may be more happening but like many things that go on, not all reported. I just wonder if the insurance companies have adequate inspectors doing their own investigation? I know it's not professional to assume or speculate, but really there is just no way fires keep happening twice at so many establishments. Unless the place was buit sub par. Oh! Wait I forgot, maybe there is no real standard of quality.
Back home I had a mate in the glass business. His biggest jobs were night clubs supplying mirrored walls etc, and they always came after the clubs had been burnt out by "accidental electrical fires" just at a time when the venues needed a decor/theme change. As 'luck' would have it the revamps were paid for by insurance claims. However I can never understand why sometimes he had the requests for quotations and new plans BEFORE the fire??

I came across this, downloaded it and watched it and thought it was very good indeed.
This, being, "JFK Revisited: Through The Looking Glass" and in my opinion, it is a must watch for all of you who remember this awful assassination.
I was 15 at the time and it happened on the eve of my 16th birthday, so I remember the date, not only because it was my birthday, but because of what I knew of JFK, being a good president and well liked.
It seemed to be all done and dusted especially when Lee Harvey Oswald was shot and killed, however the mystery of the shooting, how many bullets and where they came from etc was never successfully explained.
Now that a lot of the letters/evidence/transcripts have been released, this documentary homes in on some of them and the revelations are quite stunning (including pics of the head of the date JFK).
I won't say any more in case it spoils it for anybody, but if you have ever been interested in this part of history, then it's a must, but I must warn you, it may well taint/damage your view of a particular president and the agencies which operate in the US, with impunity it seems.
Available on 1337x.to.
Thank you. An excellent documentary which I somehow seem to have missed. If you havn't read or heard of it before there is an excellent book on the subject by Jim Garrison, DA of New Orleans 1962-74 titled "JFK: On the Trail of the Assassins" which discloses a lot of the same especially Lee Harvey Oswald's ties to the CIA, the cover-ups, the misinformation, etc.
How do they continue to get away with it all?
