They dont wsnt US customers because of the FACTA obligations, it is a risk for them.
Yes I opened an account last year, no work permit/embassy letter etc only passport, but a guy I was with was initially refused because she thought him from US. I didnt understand then but now I know why.

Have the clowns any idea of how bloody stupid that scheme is?
So they expect tourists to flock to Phuket to be treated the same as criminals, dream on morons, it aint gonna happen.
Are these clowns determined to destroy Phuket tourism forever?
Certainly appears that way.
Its ok they probably wont order enough and if the govt is resposible for setting up the software they work or will be continually updating. The moon here we come!

If you have the money, go for the retirement route, it is so much easier. No interview, no waiting, no bankbook BS, just show them you have it and you get the stamp the same day.
Thanks but that doesnt answer my question.....have you quoted the right post?

tomorrows headline:
"Government officials are shocked that two police generals associated with the Boss case cannot be located and may have left the country"
Particularly shocking considering the Govt officials sent the generals some nice flowery 'with compliments' cards asking them to kindly drop into the Police station when convenient because they may have to arrest them. Damn rude!

Good Question...and why do they continue to punish OA Visa holders and leave O Visa holders unscathed ? Extensions now are absurd...because my OA obtained in 2017 needs insurance(s) and the guy in the booth next to me does not , all other requirements being equal ?
I have an O visa extension of stay based on marriage and I imagine I am not 'punished' because I have to keep 400K in the bank to renew (or 800k for retirement), or is my thinking incorrect?

IF you don’t have the Pink ID, then you have never tried to use it. How do you know that no official office, Bank etc or anywhere you need to show ID will not recognise the Pink ID if you have one ???
Additionally, Mor Promt was a nationwide application - that recognised the Pink ID and you would have been able to book a vaccination.
Are you creating your own confirmation bias that no-one in your area will accept the Pink ID without really knowing that ?
Errrr I asked lol! Actually I wanted to get the YB/PC but after I attended our local amphur and found out the huge run around required (see xylophone's excellent post above) I decided to check around. I was due for visa extension a few weeks later in the next province (we didnt have our own imm office then) so I enquired with Imm office and was told not needed, passport enough. While there I also renewed my drivers lic and enquired because I have heard some traffic offices accept YB/PC as proof of residence but no it was not acceptable. I still had to pay 500 baht to immigration for PoR. We now have our own Imm office and I now attend the traffic office there and the situation is the same "Yellow book?....mai ow"!
Then there is the other side where I have never ever been asked for it, only my passport. I have been here 17 years this time. I have a drivers lic, worked as teacher 10 years with work permit and Non O B. I have built a house, bought a new toyota P/u, have a/c's with 4 different banks and just had my first covid jab today after registering on the 7th....and all with just my passport! (pic attached as I am sure you doubt it)
As I have stated many times, but people choose to ignore it, is that it all depends on where you live. I would have to take 2 air flights, book hotels etc...a lot of running around and expense for something nobody wants WHERE I LIVE.
Have a look at xylophones post and ask yourself would you go through all that if you live remote just to get a card and a book to sit in your drawer gathering dust?

We are in western section of Kalasin. Wife and I went to local public hospital on the 7th like previous news reports stated and put our names down with my passport and her Thai ID. I think because she has diabetes they rang her in the afternoon and told her to come the next morning. She had the Astra Zanecca. The next day they rang her again saying I could come in for mine today as I was over 60. Was also told I would get sinovac coz some locals dont want it so left over stock. However when I showed up today everybody was getting AZ.
I was very surprised how well organised it was. My appointment was at 13:00. My BP, temp etc was taken and they asked a few medical questions. Had my AZ shot at 13:13 and was told to sit for 30 minutes in case of reaction. 13:43 took my BP, temp etc and asked how I was feeling. 2 minutes later on my way home. They managed to time their appointments perfectly with a constant, but not crowded flow of folk coming and going without bottle necks. Everybody had masks and the seating was set for social distancing. Return date for second shot made for 16 weeks. As I say, surprised but actually a pleasant outing.
Oh and they even had a selfie option for those wanting it lol

It takes under 1 hour to get a pink card. So dumb not to get one if you're living in Thailand
I bet you live in or near a major centre? I dont and its a major task to get one. Where did you get your passport translated and certified in under an hour? And its pretty dumb getting one when no-one in your area recognises it and your passport is enough. Please take note of that in bold and consider that in Thailand every province has its own rules/requirements.
Or are you telling me you know the rules/requirements of every province/amphur in Thailand and have taken them into consideration with your claim?

Dontknow about"heaps" but it was dead easy getting a pink card and yellow book
Yes and I believe you but just depends where you reside. Up my way its the whole certified translation from Foreign Affairs etc etc whereas on the other side of the coin no one here knows the YB/PK and happily accept your passport.
I think the whole problem with this arguement is that people in the major centres dont understand the situation in the outer provinces and visa versa....and I just like to stir lol.

Pathetic isnt it, a man selling a few dildos is struck with the full force of he police farce, who sadly have sod all more important to do with their time, than spend it displaying dildos just for the photo op.
Get a life dipsticks, get out there and catch real criminals.
Heres a tip.... Have a look in government house, place is full of them.????
He would have been better setting up a street stall in Thong Lor near the police station....safe as houses there but a lot of competition????

The only draw back I can see uis the possible/likely length of time between shots. It could take months to get fully vaxxed. Whereas with Sinovac, the guidance is within 4 weeks, I believe.
My wife had sinovac 2 days ago, no side affests at all, barely even any pain in injection spot. She was informed second shot in 4 weeks too.
A friend had AZ about a week ago in Kranuan. Mild flu symptoms and headache for 24 hours only. Back to normal next day.
I am going for my sinovac shot this afternoon.
Oh and just to keep the silly game going for those who went through heaps to get the pink cards only to find it relatively useless.....I needed passport only. They dont know what the pink card is.????

Basically, the main id document they were interested in was the pink card.
Got my appointment today at 13:00 for vax. Registered 2 days ago after walking into local hospital. Rang me yesterday to confirm appointment for today. They were only interested in passport.....dont know what a pink card is up here.

I don't know what calendar you grow your plants to, but longest day is June 20th, so harvest will be that + 8 (ish) weeks. So my friend tells me!
https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-the-flowering-stage-of-cannabis-week-by-week-n611
"For most cannabis strains, the flowering period will last about 7-9 weeks, although some sativas require even longer for their buds to mature."
Youre right, I stand corrected. I somehow got confused there being in another country. And no, 'my friend" never used a calender really, just a numbering system working in 6 week cycles for flowering at 12 hours per day (indoors). ????

And where do the ordinary Thais get their information. Would it be facebook, the most reliable provider on earth.
Up my way all news/information comes via the local market or the old lady who sells fish in the streets. Six months ago they were all planting 6 ganja plants because they "knew" a new law had been passed irregardless of what the TV was saying. The cops had to work with the poo yai ban making announcements over the village speakers denying ganjas legalisation and threatening to arrest people caught gowing it.

Heavens to Betsy its a good thing they found it before it was sold to unsuspecting tourists....just imagine the misery it would have caused.
Remember, just say NO! (Unless of course you are dealing in drugs to pay for weapons for some terrorist group to topple a democratically elected leader).
