Thailand, UK strengthen ties towards strategic economic partnership
edwinchester replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Many business leaders in the UK are calling for the UK to align with EU regulations to simplify trade as they recognise going it alone will be disastrous for industry. The CEO of Ford UK did exactly this recently. The EU cutoff trade talks with Thailand in 2014 in response to Prayuts coup. They've recently reopened negotiations just prior to the recent election. The UK is the only G7 economy still below pre pandemic levels. -

Yeah I fully expect trade with Thailand to replace the billions lost from trade with the biggest economy in the world right on the UKs doorstep.- 31 replies

Thai bank lending is a mess. Wifey and I asked for a loan to buy a new car recently. I can get a better rate on my savings elsewhere than the loan rate so it makes sense. My pension is twice the married man's as demanded by Immigration and wifey has a million bht deposited at the bank. We were turned down. One of wifeys friends recently got a loan on a new pick-up. Their a teaching asst earning 9k a month and their repayments are 7k a month......insane.

Electric Vehicles in Thailand

They do but we're waiting for it to be installed. Our local, Suphanburi, dealer has been selling as many as they can get hold of and said there is about a month wait for the install. -
Electric Vehicles in Thailand
edwinchester replied to Bandersnatch's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
As we took delivery of our little Neta V 10 days ago I thought it time to try out a nearby charging point as so far we've relied on the emergency home charger cable. One of the nearest to us is at the PEA near Robinson Kanchanaburi. App is easily installed but I don't like all of the personal info required with it. Money is easily uploaded to the wallet and we were of on our trip to town. First surprise it that there is only one charger on site and that one is only a slow 25kwh that charged our vehicle at 1% per minute. After 25 minutes wifey was bored so we cut it short and headed for lunch. Stats gained from the first charging point experience was that 92kms cost me 62bht...it would have cost about 230bht in my Triton. First impressions of the Neta is that it's a perfect car for the 120km per day school run. I charge back up to 80ish % every other day. It's comfortable, quiet and fast enough for my needs and at 549k it's an absolute bargain. -
If PT scupper the chance for a new MF led Govt then I believe they'll never be forgiven and lose all hope of winning in the future. It is obvious the vast majority voted for change and PT should also embrace that need for change by giving the elected majority the means to deliver what the people obviously want.

Brilliant, thanks for your help. -
Hi, picked up our Neta V earlier today and the main dealer apologized that a version in English is unavailable. Has anyone discovered one, or is aware of one available for online download, thanks for reading.

"Police Colonel Samruay commented that this 'Lanna Force Check' operation led to the successful detention of one foreigner for overstaying their visa." Yet the headline reads of multiple detentions of foreigners so what is it? Just the one or more?
