This what happened in that famous gold shop in Yaowarat. First he was deeply suspicious that I was trying to scam him.. Put a blow-torch on the coin to check malleability, did the rub test. When he agreed to buy the one coin, he gave me the money. But while I was still standing in front of him he picked up some shears and cut the coin in half. I was shocked. Then I said you have defaced my Queen and ruined the coin. He replied that he sold gold, not coins.

You are right, now that I've checked.. So the shop had to give an additional 3.5 % per troy oz.

The Thai gold bars are only sell-able in Thailand, otherwise you will be paying assay charges. I believe Swiss assay bars are available. I made the mistake of bringing several Maple Leaf coins to Thailand..shops had problems with the math. Thai gold 92% (?). Maple Leaf coins 99.99%. Krugerrand coins 94% Shops would not pay the premium for coins..

Rules for importing weed commercially and for tourists?
bobbin replied to Wuvu2's topic in Thailand Cannabis Forum
Agenda.. Buh Bye.. ???? -
Point taken about how financial compensation plays a large role in Thai justice. But putting a Doctor in jail is absolutely required in this case.. otherwise I guarantee he will re-offend with drunk driving.. Two people lost their lives to his stupidity. What's the Hippocratic Oath that governs his working life? "Do no harm.."

Well you would guess wrong. ???? Nobody is getting busted with any amount of weed. No roadside pee tests are being administered. This includes tourists. I hope this makes you feel better about using cannabis in Thailand. -
No.. the Thai Government has legalized cannabis. It's the opposition party (s) that are trying to scare a few extra votes their way.. The Thai government is not unaware of the growing (????) number of governments that have either legalized already or have strongly signaled their intent to do so in the very near future.

Point by point rebuttal .. First of all, this is the Cannabis Forum, and your position is at odds with the intent of this forum. Cannabis is a legal product in Thailand. There are always "problems in society". Cannabis is very very far down that list. As for stuffing the Cannabis Genie back into the bottle, that will be a task worthy of Aladdin. The sea change regarding society's perception of Cannabis is well under way, not only in Thailand. Germany and the Czech Republic will legalize recreational use within a year. The process is well under way. The European dominoes will follow suit.. North America (Canada, Mexico, and a majority of American states) is almost totally cannabis-friendly. And since the USA was the primary driver of the anti-cannabis crusade, there is less of an incentive for other countries to keep their own anti-cannabis positions in place.. We are here. We are not going away..

It's been quite helpful to me also.. many times.

All is not lost.. Liverpool Lou will single-handedly resurrect AN/TV. On track to hit 100,000 posts. I think Jingthing is the most prolific poster, but that's just off the top of my head. But Lou is gunning for him. ????

Blah blah... Chill bro. "Nobody goes there anymore. It's too crowded." ????

Not me. 2007. But I noticed a post of yours the other day and thought " he/she must be an original to have snagged that user name.." ????

Cheap political position.. Pick a position the Government has adopted and oppose it.. Not a chance in Hades this will pay off for them... Prayuth does not have to call another election for 2 more years.. Germany will have legalized by then. How many more countries are in the process of legalization? 5 more legal states in USA after next month's elections. Anyone enjoying the current situation in Thailand will not vote for them.. Sellers, consumers and those close to them. The "anti" forces are not that numerous to make a difference. Yesterday's position.
