  1. Sad stories but many people who stay home ALSO die sad and lonely deaths. I wouldn't really blame it on Pattaya. It's the human condition.

    Absolutely correct.

When farangland life turns upside down we clutch at straws. l did. Many come to LOS for a last ditch look for something. For many, they don't find it, and we know the/their consequences.

I take my hat off to these guys as l am/was one of them. thumbsup.gif RIP, you did your best.

  2. The Blether posts many threads and has built up his reputation as a good guy. This makes it easier for such a poster to drop in the odd troll post.

    Just sayin.

Anyway if this girl is a lesbian then she will have zero physical attraction to this guy. Or are we back to talking about Thailand can make you bisexual?. Would any straight man or woman spend the rest of their lives with a person of the same sex?

    Seems ridiculous.

I,ve suspected for some time now that T.B. isn,t all he appears to be. whistling.gif

I reckon he is a ghost writer / ghost poster and both him and his sidekick ( aka mate ) he often refers to and V.Versa are inverted trolls. ( non disruptive contributors )

" Nom de guerres " for want of a better description who in turn are provided with input from several other nameless contributors. ermm.gif

    P.S.

As an intended non abusive post and a simple personal observation, I hope it is not deemed incorrectly as an offensively intended offering, it is not.

    Your first observation is correct.

Everything else is wrong. I am not a ghost writer, I am not an inverted troll, and I do not have a college of assistants.

I do receive dozens of pm's and emails every day from members, I do have many ' virtual ' friends on TV, I do have many friends that I have met in person, and I do have friends on TV that I've known for years outwith the internet.

I'm for real, and there are many highly regarded members that can confirm that........though I will ask them not to bother as we don't need a ' support theblether ' campaign.

It's getting to "Jumping the shark" time for me on TV.

I've got two companies to run at the busiest time of year for both. I'll take a 90 day holiday from posting, I'll be back in December to arrange the New Years Eve party in Chiang Mai.

I'm not quitting, I'm temporarily retiring. Any questions pm me, send facebook requests to me via pm, and email requests too........and trust me.

    I'll be back!!!

    See you soon.

    Take care chum. thumbsup.gif

  3. Can you imagine what would happen if an armed police officer did that in UK or Europe? I suspect pulling a gun on someone then waving it at a crowd of people would get you a jail sentence.

Your right. Even an unloaded fire arm at police training sessions must always face the floor. Bothers me a bit at UK airports that the armed police weapons are not aimed downwards when on patrol. Sorry, offtopic2.gif
  4. Post count is an irrelevance.

One of the most popular TV shows in the 1960s was STAR TREK.

The mission of the USS Enterprise was "to boldly go where no man has gone before". Split infinitives ruled the day!

William Shatner played the part of Captain Kirk.

Years later, William Shatner attended a convention for Star Trek fans. He was appalled to see people dressed as Klingons and speaking a kind of Klingon language.

These people were his fans. He spoke to them. He said:

    GET A LIFE

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why do I find it so easy to picture you as a little schoolby wearing short trousers?

Perhaps because you have a vivid and creative imagination.

    SC

Think he has, mind you, having to walk around with ears like that probably has an effect. w00t.gif
  5. I am one of the minority that dislike being called 'farang'.

Back in the UK, it would not have crossed my mind (or any of my friends) to refer to someone as 'that foreigner/black/Asian' etc. etc. as it is rude.

Having said this, I've never been called farang to my face - those that don't know my name have always said Madam, but I dislike hearing it quietly in the background when they're obviously referring to me.

Think your wrong. Never heard a Thai say Madam, they don't know the word. sad.png

Perhaps it was a similar Thai word huh.png .................................smile.png

Your wrong I'm afraid. Any Thai maid working for foreigners will always refer to her employer as her "Madam", even when talking to other Thai's. Apart from that you often hear the word in the more up market hotels.

Men are farangs and women are Marangs cheesy.gif , very similar but more tasty. giggle.gif

  7. An Assumption University poll conducted Sept 1-6, found the number of Thais not objecting to corruption if it was with their partial advantages increased from 63.4 per cent in June to 65.8 per cent in August

The same university would never take money from somebody to study there. Am I assuming the Assumption? w00t.gif

eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, Yes, no yes no, oh l give up cos l have dealt with it all. sad.png .
  8. It's all computerized l would think. Sometimes just pulling off plugs and putting them back on will fix the problem otherwise it's a visit to a Nissan main dealer to be analized. sad.png

Would be very surprised if 2001 was all computerized I bet the speedo is still cable.

Perhaps, but at the meter end of the cable it will be electronic. smile.png

If its got the wheels that go round mechanically on the speedo then it is mechanical, if it has a digital read out it is electronic.

<deleted> stay off the loopy juice. Who in their right mind is going to take a 2001 Nissan to a main dealer!!??. There will be umpteen local Somchai backstreet garages who are more than capable of rebuilding a new Frontier for you.

Great stuff, tell him where to take it to fix electronics failure AND keep all informed. thumbsup.gif
  9. If I were the family of the dead policeman, I wouldn't even let these "people" in to "pay respect" to my beloved family member. Where was the "respect" when he was being dragged for miles under the speeding vehicle? This is just more hi-so poser B.S.

It doesn't work like that here. The Thai guy must go to the funeral, it's expected. sad.png

Even so, if I were a family member, I would probably vomit in disgust. The total lack of remorse is obvious in their faces. The dark glasses are probably being worn to hide their shame.

No, the guy is just being his hi-so trendy self, and the poor folk know it. It's the way it is.
