  1. I'm from Burnley. It's too cold to have no shirt there.
  2. Pattaya police decided to do something about this. Their 'crackdown' lasted nearly two weeks before they gave up exhausted by trying to justify their wages.
  3. I'd love to know which one as I've got a couple of upcoming trips.
  4. I wonder why he felt the need to say this?
  5. Thai males can't accept 'no' as an answer. It's their grand/mothers' fault who cosset them from birth to early death.
  6. Thank you. I need to get to Mike's Shopping Mall so your by-pass took me too far. I experimented & found using Klang quicker to Beach Rd. than Tai & the infernal lights at 3rd. Thank you. I am exploring venues (for Table tennis) outside the centre (during High season). The Ambassador takes me 22 minutes but they lie & tell you there's no problem with the A/C - until you get there and there is!
  7. https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radio/ng-interactive/2025/dec/10/the-50-best-tv-shows-of-2025 https://www.theguardian.com/film/ng-interactive/2025/dec/08/the-50-best-films-of-2025-in-the-uk Happy New Year everyone.
  8. Watched it yesterday & got fewer sniggers than I did from 'Fackham Hall'. He's stopped being funny in favour of being shocking/controversial.
  9. It takes me 45 minutes to drive four kilometres down Pattaya Tai three times every week.
  10. Or most of the money returned for a mediation fee?
  11. Like baht buses, you wait ages then two come along. Two articles in two days. Is weed to be recommended for creativity? Keep 'em coming Lewie.
  12. The annual overtime bonanza where people get to see live police supposedly working for their wages. A week later the cops will return to hibernation and the daily death toll will resume.
  13. Like the crackdown on helmets that lasted three weeks?
  14. I like the style. I like the imagery. I don't think he uses AI.
  15. After the Brit & passers-by had done the real work.
  16. 'Experts'? They've been saying that for the last 23 years that I know of. I never get into a lift here without a certain trepidation.
  17. Roses have thorns. 'Houses' is better but you can't own one if you are a farang.
  18. I thought there was a permanent police presence here? (Even at 5.30am!) It's the only place in Pattaya where you can be guaranteed to glimpse a cop.
  19. Now if it had been a farang wobbling about, you'd have seen the cop spring into action.
  20. Walking Street is the only one in Pattaya with a regular police presence. Imagine the impact of seeing more cops out & about elsewhere; even on the roads!
  21. A Thai guide who professes to speak English/whatever language the group require; with a vocabulary of seven words?
  22. Here we go again - the bi-annual police overtime bonanza where they sit around playing on their phones whilst ignoring the traffic mayhem yards from their comfort zone. All the cops you never knew existed, crawl out of the woodwork, blinking at being exposed to sunlight after 50 weeks of A/C shade.
  23. 'the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) following a tip-off.' Thai police never ACT, only REACT.
