  1. Protecting Thailand by shooting at unarmed women? Have you seen the photos and television images of injured women in the hospitals? I can see his argument if the army shoots at men who might be armed with bamboo sticks, but I don't think there's an excuse for shooting at unarmed women.

Sorry, the reds are there illegally, and know the dangers of attacking soldiers trying to do their job. Blame Weng et al for putting women and children in the line of fire. If anyone should be in trouble, it should be Weng et al for putting minors in line of fire.

  2. Weng and his minions are just trying to prove that they are worthy of Thaksin's love and re$pect. They know very clearly now that if they aren't up for a proper govt overthrow then there are even more villainous thugs led by Seh Daeng waiting to take over. Their frantic meetings in their trailer are to discuss plans on how to best give Thasksin the 'happy ending' he so badly wants.....

  3. How difficult can it be?. The redshirts want to fool Suthep in to trap. If he surrender to the police and they let him go even if the evidence against him are indisputable for put to actions attack with live bullits killing 25, injuered 1000,- then the police have to let all the redshirts go free also. :D

Except for the minor fact that Suthep acted in protecting Thailand and the reds are treasonous terrorists intent on overthrowing the state. :)

  4. So they are dropping the red shirts. We all know why, yes? So when the reds without red attack the Thai soldiers and the general public with lethal weapons, and they are filmed doing so, they can more conveniently deny responsibility.

Nattawut said the Reds would strip off the symbols of their allegiance and reveal thier secret weapons.post-28598-1272118483_thumb.jpg

Haha no wonder the red shirts are frustrated! Have to go home to that at night! :):D

  5. If there is a physical clash, the Reds will win, provided the army stays out of it. the Reds are tough folks. The men are real men, not delicate city dwellers that are not used to physical hardship. The Reds are not the ones that will need to put on the whitening cremes, scents and body lotions before the go into battle. I'm sure if there is some girl on girl 'rassling action the redshirts will win. :)

Yellow will also have the expensive death toys. Some ole red hag running after a Bangkok Elite and next thing we know the red hag has a new hole in her head! hee hee.

  6. They have to be alive to surrender.

Are you suggesting that someone should or would see to it that they are not alive? Can that be said on this forum? I thought this forum was just for the whiners that can't get out to drink their beer? JMHO

They are the ones always threatening to kill people if they don't get their way, and have shown they are willing to hurt any civilians, army or police who get in their way. Gun 'em down!!!!!!! :):D:D

  7. so far I like it, though in landscape orientation doesn't seem to fit pages very well. Reprocessing of text makes it for a more readable experience in many sites. I've found a few sites, like Chordie for example, don't seem to be able to render or execute correctly. Anyway, it is a beta, so I'm sure it will get better. the last day or two I've used Opera about 90% of the time for my iPhone browser....how about you guys?

  8. Looking at the forum owner information on that site it requires IPB 3.0.x and we are currently running ~2.3.6. There are plans to upgrade to 3 but previous attempts showed some problems and not sure when it will happen.

Any plans to enable the lofi version of IPB? That would be great for us mobile users.

  9. Normally on Invisionboard if you go to /lofiversion/ as in http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/lofiversion you should get a simplified version usable with mobile devices but it seems they have disabled that on Thaivisa for some reason. I wonder why.

Wow that certainly would be nice! The new Opera browser for the iPhone does take care of some of the problem by reprocessing the text, making things much more readable....but I belong to a few iPhone/mobile enhanced forum sites that look really great and are super easy to navigate around in when using my iphone....

I wonder if it is a matter of losing some of the ads in the process of trimming things down. Anyway, I wish George would take it into consideration, I know there must be hundreds of members who routinely check TV on a mobile device and this would be highly appreciated by them!

  10. Thai wife just got off the phone laughing

Mother and friend had to go to Bangkok from Udon to pick up some things

They all dressed in Red shirts and drove well above the speed limit

Police just let them drive past not stopping

Arriving back in Udon they all laugh

Police scared of Red shirts, now they rule the roads

good way to get yourself shot in the head.....careful, with behavior like that she could be laughing blood soon from extra holes in the head!

  11. I find the mobile pages on various sites highly annoying - regular pages look better and work better on the iPhone. So... get a decent phone with a decent browser. Then you don't need special, crippled "mobile" pages.

PS: I have used the iPhone for browsing, and posting on, ThaiVisa. Works just fine.

I use my iPhone as well for TV....and usually a site isn't crippled to accommodate mobile users...but they are able to adjust the text so it comes out at a decent size. TV's font comes out so mall on the iphone, even when zooming in on the column wherever the text is. That is one thing good about the new Opera browser, it process the text so it comes out at a decent reading size.

  12. I cant really understand anyone wanting to read or browse the internet on their mobile phone. But hey to each his or her own.

It's actually not bad at all on the iPhone when the site has been optimized for mobile viewing. I do it all the time when I'm on the go.

  13. I've had my EEE PC, Asus now for a year and a half. Has proven to be a champ for mobility. Nothing like throwing it in to a backpack for the day, not even realizing it is there until i need it.

Does a great job running almost all programs, the only thing so far I have found it can't do is edit HD video (from my flip). Handles all my music sequencing software though, which is great when I am out and want to do some composing. Graphics touchup is fine. Also great for working on my websites.

Also, this is the com that stays downstairs on the kitchen table, for anyone who needs to look something up.

  14. So many sites are now optimized for mobile users. TV isn't one. Surely in the BB software being used there are mobile options that could be implemented?

I thought about this again after using Opera mini, which renders fonts better than Safari. It just seems with all the mobile users out there now there would be more accommodation for them.

    Why isn't there?

  15. I always have the MP3 player set to shuffle. I prefer a random order. So the file ordering on

the player doesn't matter at all.

Well, then any ole MP3 player will do. An iPod is more sophisticated, ie my big pod has over 17,000 songs on it. It's a good idea to have some order if you want to find anything. Itunes helped set that all up for me, and I can find and play anything on my iPod in seconds.
