exactly! sellers here mark up prices so they can put the SALE tag on and bring prices down to where they should be. central, emporium, isetan, home tv shopping... they all do it (to everyone, not just us foreigners).
hasn't anyone noticed that department stores here seem to be on sale every single day of the year? the key is to know the fair price to pay. this korea king is no different. who'd be crazy enough to pay for it at full price?
Whenever I make a kitchenware purchase I look up the brand online while standing there....look for reviews, prices, etc. The salespeople always look befuddled when I do that, and give me the evil eye if I show them a much lower price or a bad review. Haha. In my opinion in this day and age if you are not doing that then you are just being foolish.

Cast iron pans are hard to find. I have one brought here from PNG. They are the best by far, the teflon coated and similar are rubbish in comparison.
I have a good teflon pan I have used for about 4 years now and it still works great. You just have to be careful, don't wash with soap too often, keep metal away for the surface, etc. But I agree, a cast iron pan is the best. The previous poster gave me a couple leads so I will be looking this week at them.

If you want to buy it locally g o to the Promenade next to Fashion Island (Ram Intra). On the ground floor towards the back there is a True Value as well as a shop next door that sell them. If you are allergic to extreme prices look at Alibaba for good products at great prices.
Oh wow thanks! I'll take a look when I'm there next time. Price doesn't bother me as long as it isn't too grossly overpriced. I'll check alibaba as well, Thanks!

I thought about it....think I will stick with Netflix, and then use Kodi or torrents to get everything else I want.

Fight??? Give us a break.
With complete and unopposed power AND article 44 at his disposal he doesn't have to fight for anything.
Those seminars must have been interesting, a bit like watching paint dry. You must lead an exciting life.
Why so much hate? His English is impeccable, he is very knowledgeable about UK, US, and German education systems. A strong proponent for student centered learning, developing critical thinking skills, renovating the vocational education. He has a lot of enthusiasm but admits that with the way things are now it will take a good long time to move forward.
The least thing he was was cynical and jaded like you.

I don't need no freakin' "Korea Pan."
I've been using a cast iron pan for over 30 years now. It's still in perfect condition, can be used with almost no oil, does not let food stick as long as the pan's seasoned and maintained properly and cost a fraction of the price for this stupid "copper marble" and "silver marble" and what not abomination of a pan.
I bought it not because it was promoted by some OTT celebrity fella either, but because I knew it would be one of the best kitchen investments I'd ever make.
I'd bequeath it as a family heirloom to my children - if I had any. On the other hand, that "Korea Pan" can only be bequeathed to the trash bin.
did you buy your cast iron pan here? I've been looking for one with no luck.

Smart guy, I attended a couple seminars of his and he knows the issues. Will take a herculean fight to get done what he wants.

Read this and became worried as I have a brother in law like this idiot. I can sleep tonight as not my family, but sad and shows where this country is heading over the last 3 years, So glad I left. say what you want guys but I am safe are you?
Well thankfully I have educated and caring relatives here. I also live in a safe and friendly village, and have always felt supported. I would assume you married a BG and unfortunately your living environment went accordingly.
And yes, I am assuming a lot in my post above, just like you were in yours.

Unpleasant for sure but not illegal to call out somebody's name.
Good luck to Netiwit!

I don't think rape goes on in prisons here. Sex probably, but they don't have that rape culture like in some other countries, so I have heard.
The boy sounds like a sociopath though. He just learned to play the game but I'm sure he hasn't 'turned over a new leaf' like the prison authorities seem to think.

Americans abroad, 2% of the population, have seen this for some time, long before Trump. The other 98% don't care. When he got elected, everyone knew he was going engage in damaging behavior. What is happening now should not be a surprise to anyone.
Right. We knew he would be a disaster if elected. Too bad some feral coal miners could be sheepled so easily.

Why should the monk be compalining about money or cost?
Money should not be something a monk is concerned about.

When I came back from Blighty a couple of months ago I made real progress with my fitness, and took to running harder and faster almost every day. But my feet got in a bit of a state. The upshot is I have had to rest up for a month with damaged achilles tendons, and it's only this week that my ankles have stopped hurting too. I'm not so bothered as running in the mid summer heat seems a bit of a mad thing to do anyway. Hopefully, I'll be back running in a couple of weeks lesson learned.
Think about bicycling. It is a great exercise and doesn't destroy the feet and knees.

They've had years to bring him to justice. At least now his story has been splashed around a bit internationally so they can't ignore it quite as much.

Someone needs to learn the difference between an eagle and a falcon.

Oftentime pedestrians and bicyclers take no heed what is happening behind them.
