  1. They're too busy trying to keep COVID out when the reality is that it's already here and it's everywhere. They should just open the airport again and be done with it. Having said that, hardly anyone would come which is I suspect the real reason why they don't open up and strict entry controls are in place.
  2. I see no reason why not. I believe they're walking a different path towards 'herd immunity' these days whilst also making vaccines available slowly but surely. They have very successfully escaped what I've previously referred to as the 'Zero COVID trap' which was inevitable.
  3. Right, I wonder how long that will last before it's bought back into force for the winter season.
  4. Merely a dream, if this happens it will end badly. Does this mean the curfew will be cancelled and alcohol bans will end prior to October 1 or will the tourists be expected to visit the ghost town that Hua Hin has become? A few might be suckered into coming to Hua Hin but unless it opens up properly word will quickly get out...
  5. Yes, it's an interesting case isn't it. They used the pfizer vaccine exclusively and I've read comments in Israeli newspapers and on facebook where they complain that they can't get the AZ vaccine instead of Pfizer which many people seem to consider something of a failure. There's also been talk of planning for a fourth shot once the third shot expires.....I would hope the vaccines can be 'updated' before then.
  6. If you do somehow manage to become ill with covid I wonder if the isolation camp is still going to be enforced?
  7. It is interesting, I wonder if a VIP is arriving, a VIP who doesn't appreciate the tests. Will be interesting to see when / if they are reinstated
  8. I imagine one would be issued on entry to the country. I wonder what happens when the shots expire, already happening in some places. It's not a do it once and forget about it issue.
  9. The often used 'discourage and deter' method whereby something is allowed but only after jumping through many hoops.
  10. A good point, with all this testing and vaccination requirements for staff and customers there's no reason why all the bars, pubs and maybe even nightclubs shouldn't open up again. I won't be holding my breath on that.
  11. The 7/11 nearest to me closed at 8pm on Friday, nothing changed yet. Due to this 'protection measure' the 7/11 gets very busy in the last 30 minutes as they all pack in to buy whatever they need to use overnight. They've created a time of crowds in order to control infection - the opposite of control is happening - this is the very definition of dumb.
