  1. I was hoping to see a bunch of people pointing at the chicken.
  2. The constant flood of 'yabba' and others that continues to come in from Myanmar could, in my opinion be likened to an act of war with plenty of Thai conspirators involved. Someone said something similar about the fentanyl crisis in the US, it's more of a weapon than a drug.
  3. You have no choice in this matter - in order for them to insert your visa when you arrive they will meet you at the plane gate and escort you to the 'fast track' area, this is the same area where the airline crew all seem to sign a book at a 'podium' and then proceed through immigration. There's a couple of couch type seats in a waiting area, you will be offered a drink while the TE staff take your passport and get an immigration officer to insert your visa. Then they walk you over to the immigration booth (there was no queue) and in my experience they accompany you when it's a new visa, the woman who did this was a senior immigration officer, looked like the one in charge of the whole place. They instruct the officer in the booth on what to do - in my case they then took the passport back into their little office to 'make copies' of the stamps, etc. After this you're on your way.......you're escorted back to the immigration booth and allowed to pass through to the baggage reclaim area. Depending on where you're going you may have the free limo, I was going straight to Hua Hin so I had a driver waiting for me anyway, the limo service is only good for the Bangkok area and as such I have never used it. The above was my most recent experience of 'airport visa insertion' towards the end of 2019. I literally got it done just a couple of months before the pandemic hit and I haven't left the country since then.
  4. Photos of a blood soaked floor covered with dead bodies of children and adults were posted to Twitter the day this happened. I saw them. They were posted by Thais. I think CNN are full of <deleted> but what happened here is irrelevant. I could believe that they broke in but as it turns out they didn't - so it's a non story.
  5. Yes, there is a letter issued when you make the appointment, I was asked about this lack of visa for a one way flight once and explained then showed them a print out of the visa insertion appointment at the airport and they accepted that. This was only in Phnom Penh though. What will you do if they take another 10 weeks to complete processing your application? If you still come to Thailand as planned then you need to consider your options, you can make an appointment to go and have the visa inserted at Chaeng Wattana immigration office using the concierge service which I think is now the only way they will do it (free on first usage) - I've done this a couple of times before and it's a quick process. They will phone you and locate you at the entrance prior to going directly to the desk that issues the visa. The last time I did this I stood right in the middle of the almost empty large clearing on the ground floor of Chaeng Wattana and started waving when the phone call came in looking for me just prior to the appointment time, the woman from TE saw me immediately. Of course this might not be so convenient if you're up staying way in Chiang Rai or somewhere else far away from the place they insist you report to for the visa insertion. I would also consider the possibility that it may take longer to get the membership approved and subsequent visa insertion appointment than your permission to stay duration, especially if you're forced to enter on a visa waiver.
  6. You start a topic, you don't control it.
  7. With every investment comes a certain amount of risk so yes, the investor pays.
  8. Is it possible that this was a legitimate fund that did not perform well due to the massive global covid crisis and the fact that everything went to <deleted> for a couple of years?
  9. I think you will find that once the number of flights increases the prices will go down. More flights = cheaper seats.
  10. This is impressive, never before have I seen so many point at just one man at the same time.
  11. Now things will return to normal, there might just be a high season this year after all. There's just one remaining problem, the government need to convince all the airlines to come back.
  12. I won't be smoking any of that stuff, makes me tired - and I hate that. For me those days are long gone, as in decades ago. I'm sure the younger generations will love it though and they will come for it.
  13. Stay at home so your lords and masters can move around freely and without delay.
  14. Time to get a new Doctor and stop listening to that one she's clearly a bit dim. Everything on sale is approved by the FDA, if she was worried about counterfeits entering the supply chain then I could perhaps sympathise but not trusting them for reasons like this is just dumb.
  15. The scum really come out in this place when someone needs a little help.
  16. I would like to know the name of this antibody and read the patent, any ideas what it is? I did some searches and kept finding articles about Nitric Oxide and COVID nasal sprays A company named 'SaNOtize' popped up. They talk about Nitric Oxide (NO) a lot and it's in their company name.
  17. Something like this may help prevent colds, it's been on sale for a very long time - the product is called 'First Defence' and it's made by Vicks - just google 'Vicks First Defence'. It's suspiciously similar to this 'new' product and has been around for so long that it may in fact be out of patent if it ever had one. The 'human antibodies' part - is that real ? It's not even mentioned in the source article. I see it on the label so I'd like to know more details about this claim - I don't believe it, it sounds like a marketing gimmick to me but who knows. The old vicks product that's been around for the best part of 15 to 20 years does contain the same ingredient amongst others.....????
  18. Of all the things that have surprised me over the last year, this surprised me the most and I'm including the legalisation of cannabis in that. Many Thais won't be happy about this...
  19. It's not a guess, it's already been reported. If the following is in any way true, and I can believe that it is then 1000 per day is absolutely the tip of the iceberg and that's what I'm basing it on. Assuming the 60% (lower bound reported) of the population which is about 70 Million, that would be 42 million infections. Now they mention it's particularly the Omicron variant which is new so we can forget about the first couple of years which pre dates Omicron. So a good chunk of this 42 million would have been infected with Omicron - recently. With that level of spread it didn't disappear overnight, less people are reporting for tests and the same thing is happening all over the world.
  20. There's absolutely no way there's under 1000 per day. They may be testing and finding 1000 but we all know this is just the tip of the iceberg.
  21. That is some top pointing, the guy on the right is really putting extra effort in using both hands!
  22. Yeah, if it fails after the cut then I'll just get a new sim mailed out from the UK.
  23. They've gone out of their way to create a situation out of nothing here. Had they just let her in then there would be no potential PR disaster like the one that's unfolding right now.
