No Coffee Crisis: Supply Steady, Prices Stable, Assures DIT
ukrules replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The problem is - there won't be enough - and that sounds like a great problem to have - but it's not. -
No Coffee Crisis: Supply Steady, Prices Stable, Assures DIT
ukrules replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
The problem arises when everyone else who currently purchases Nestle products swaps over to what you used to buy. Or maybe they simply switch to some kind of tea instead, regardless of what they change to - this is so big that it will affect supply chains. -
Prince Harry Claims Unfair Treatment Over Security in UK Court Battle
ukrules replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Why? Because it is a bad look if he is tortured and murdered live on TV. I'm sure we've all seen the other ISIS videos which were circulating a few years back, he would get the same treatment. That's exactly what will happen if they get their hands on him and it's merely due to who he is. This demands the highest level of protection possible regardless of his personal opinions. I hate the whinging leftist views but this guy does need protecting from the enemies of the state - he is a very high value target and every move he makes will be watched by the enemies of the state. -
Prince Harry Claims Unfair Treatment Over Security in UK Court Battle

He is still the Kings son, the Jihadists would love to get their hands on him and as such regardless of what he says or does he should be adequately protected from the enemies of the British State. -

Yes, they are. The dispute between Nestle and their partners is making things spicy. The supply chain is being cut and it's nothing to do with tariffs. -
British Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for 207-Day Visa Overstay
ukrules replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
Yes, see my post above about airside arrests. Something quite insidious is going on here. Not entirely sure why yet but we will find out one day. It's not new, been happening for at least a few years now. -
British Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for 207-Day Visa Overstay
ukrules replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
Oh, I'm not worried, my visas are sorted until the 2040s with my Thailand Elite membership but I really don't like what I see going on, especially in Phuket. I heard elsewhere that it's now routine IN PHUKET for immigration to allow people to pass through into the departure area known as 'airside' where a whole different set of laws apply which is when they 'move in' for the arrest. -
Don't worry, Thailand will still get plenty of money from their tariffs, no need to even come to Thailand to get ripped off by them 🤣

Stepmother Responds to Stepson's Public Accusations in Family Dispute

All this over a million Baht, it's like the peasants arguing over chickens. -
In a very busy are there will always be some fighting, it's just human nature. If they really want to get rid of it completely they know what they need to do - shut it all down, close the airport and return peace to the people, of course they will have no jobs so they will need to leave and work elsewhere - but it will be very quiet, all the time. Problem solved.

British Woman Arrested at Phuket Airport for 207-Day Visa Overstay
ukrules replied to Georgealbert's topic in Phuket News
They make up their own laws in Phuket and based on dozens of such reports - it is designed to inflict maximum penalty, pain and cost on the overstayer. Remember - this demonstrates exactly how much they love us!- 126 replies

According to the video yes, the Thai woman sitting next to him is one of the accountants who works at his company and they've been directly talking to the RD for a year about this kind of thing. Ignore Carden himself, consider him the mouthpiece here, the bunch of Thai tax accountants he has working for his company are the ones providing the information - he's just communicating it in plain English.

British Man Arrested After Violent Outburst in Phuket

Well if you want to reap the billions every year from mass tourism it's a simple fact that some of the dregs of society will come and do what they do best - make problems. -
That's where the 'equal treatment' part kicks in and it may be dependent on double taxation agreements specifying that foreigners be treated in the same way as Thai citizens when it comes to Thai law. The relevant part of the Revenue code is Section 42, sub section 25 : So if they don't tax Thais on it and there's an 'equality' clause in the DTA then if foreigners are treated the same as Thais as explained in the video I linked above - all pensions from countries where this equality is guaranteed in the DTA should have the very same law applied. I spelled it out here as the specific section / sub section is buried deep in the video and I know hardly anyone will watch it. In the video he speaks about 'non discrimination clauses' in the DTAs This is from the youtube transcript : He then goes on to talk about 'sending it up the chain' inside the Revenue Department - I really think he's onto something here.

Hua Hin immigration online appointment - dead ?
ukrules replied to happysoul's topic in Hua Hin and Cha-Am
You know it's generally empty in there this time of year right? -
That arrow is useful as sometimes it goes to the bottom of the page and it's easier to click that than press the 'Home' key to scroll to the top.

I'm quite fond of one way flights these days. I have the visas for this in each country I visit including Thailand. There is no return flight - I'll book one when I decide to travel which might be a few weeks prior to departure and I'll stay as long as I want each time I come which could be a few days, months or even years. A lot of people don't have a fixed or even any specific schedule when they travel.

Tony Blair Cautions Starmer Against Retaliation Over Trump Tariffs
ukrules replied to Social Media's topic in World News
As much as I don't like Blair - he's right - Trumps new minimum rate is 10% and that's what he's chosen for the UK The morons in charge should thank him and move on because it could be a lot worse. There is now a massive economic advantage for the UK, for the time being. I doubt this will last that long and consider the whole thing to be transitory.
