He's right, no alcohol = nobody's coming. Far easier to just go elsewhere and enjoy a bottle of wine or a few beers in the evening, or even on the beach in the afternoon if you're so inclined.- 162 replies

That's exactly what it is. It's going to be hilarious when they realise nobody cares even a tiny bit about the country, and why should they, after all it's just a holiday. No beer = no tourists, it's as simple as that. I'm just wondering which country in this warm part of the world will take all their business.

I can't see it opening up at all, not any time in the foreseeable future. -
They're (local admin) already calling for postponement of the opening in Hua Hin until Dec 1. I'm in Hua Hin, while out driving around the other day the roads were full of cars, nearly every one of them with Bangkok plates. I fully expect an even larger increase of case numbers next week just before the cancellation of the 'grand reopening' on Nov 1.

I bet they <deleted> it up big time -
They're being richly rewarded for their policy decisions. Airlines were already having issues with people being randomly denied entry in Thailand for weird made up reasons.
