He has a bit of a limp. Maybe one his cattle stepped on his foot that morning? How do you know it is a health issue requiring therapy? Enlighten us and expand on your remote medical diagnoses (with links to back up your findings). You were certainly never distracted by the fact that Joe kept falling over, getting people's names wrong, slurring his words etc. Are your remarkable observations and subsequent diagnoses limited to certain political affiliations perhaps? You implied that he had a choice between buying the guitar or treating the health issues that you invented on his behalf. In the unlikely event he has these mysterious health issues that appear to be a figment of your imagination, I find it quite reasonable to assume that he could afford both.

Austria's Far Right Seizes Historic Victory Amidst Political Turmoil
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Indeed. The majority of the MSM is left leaning. They must be scratching their heads that despite all their slurs and loaded language, most of Europe is voting for right wing parties. I have to conclude that a lot of people are now seeing the MSM for what it is. Propaganda. No wonder so many politicians want X/Twitter censored/blocked. -
Incredible skills you are demonstrating there Chomps, diagnosing health issues remotely like that. Especially since you clearly acquired said skills in the last 8 weeks, you didn't seem to have them when Joe Biden was falling around stages introducing Zelenski as Putin. π Not everyone considers $4000 a large sum of money, especially for people with "real" jobs. Probably chump change to him. He seemed to be enjoying himself, be happy for him.

It's impossible that someone with the intelligence, integrity and vision of Elon Musk would fall for the act of a charlatan like Kamala Harris.

It does for certain types on the forum. "Gammon" is the term often bandied around for such a demographic. Yes, he certainly drew a lot of attention to the cause and still has the guitar. Might even be worth more now given the attention the story has got. Might make a good prop at a Trump rally, or put it in a glass display cabinet on the wall of the white house for when Trump takes residence for the second time. See how much publicity you can get for $4000.

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
True, it does depend on circumstance. My issue is. 1. 68 is quite a long way off for me, no guarantee I live that long. 2. I am not married to my long term Thai partner so when I die she won't get anything if it's in a UK pension, but she will get my private investments. 3. By the time I am 68 will the age still be 68 or will they move the goalposts again? 4. What if I need/want the money before I am 68? I guess I just have a fundamental distrust of the British government. Look at what Labour were saying 2 years about the fuel allowance and school fees. A total reversal. I just don't trust them with my money. -

Frozen in time: British expats losing out on pensions in Thailand
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Another reason I never bothered topping up my National Insurance when I left the UK and took every step possible to pay as little into the government pension scheme as I could. I would never trust the government to do the right thing by me. Better off with private investments where you can get to the money whenever you like, the goalposts aren't constantly moving to pay for government screwups on issues like illegal immigration, illegal wars etc. I feel very sorry for people who paid in all their lives and then get stitched up. But in my opinion the writing has been on the wall for several years. The government simply doesn't care about old people who paid into the system all their lives. It's basically a Ponzi scheme. -

Another fantastic, strong, brilliant woman. Best of luck to her, she's in the crosshairs of the left now and we've all seen in the US how they like to use lawfare against political opponents. -
Julian Assange: "I Pled Guilty to Journalism" in Bid for Freedom
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Brave man. Wouldn't be silenced and paid the price but will go down in history as one of the good guys. Freedom of the press is a cornerstone of every Democracy. Well, it should be... -
The man's a genius. The US is lucky to have him. Shame Cali scared him off, but the Liberal's loss will be another's massive gain.

I support the right to protest. As well as the freedom of speech (I know you're not a fan of that so much). But not when the protest causes the public massive inconvenience, stops people getting emergency medical treatment, attending funerals of loved ones etc. Given that you're such a fan of strong minded women, I'm surprised you're not supporting Meloni. A hint of misogyny perhaps? I think she's fantastic. You go girl!

Iran clearly hasn't learnt from Palestine what happens when you attack Israel. I feel sorry for their citizens, because Israel will now rightly defend itself with extreme prejudice and it won't end well for Iran. Get your wallet out again Joe. The iron is hot.
