Mark Zuckerberg’s Call for More ‘Masculine Energy’ Misses the Mark
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Seems like Zuckerberg is finally growing a backbone now that the pearl clutching, DEI Democrats have been ejected. -
Media Organizations Brace for Legal and Political Challenges Under Trump
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
The left wing MSM might have to stop telling lies for once. I can see why they are concerned. -
Biden's Final Farewell: A Stark Warning for America
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Biden is totally delusional. He has been a massive failure. Caused huge problems. Embarrassed America. Then quit for Harris and lost. Good riddance to him and his crime family.- 123 replies

Thai Man Attacks Swiss with Cue Over Alleged Pool Cheat
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
I once played a drunk cop at pool in a Chiang Mai bar. He was useless and was getting very agitated that I was winning every game. He also had a gun in his holster. Had I been sober, I might have been tempted to let him win one. -
BBC Presenter Ugo Monye Faces Bankruptcy Amid £200,000 Tax Debt
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Didn't have much choice. The student loan was only 1800 a year although there was still a small student grant in those days for which I qualified. Fortunately I graduated (5 and a half grand in debt) before Blair introduced tuition fees. He needed every penny he could get to fund his illegal war. -

Employed as a Labourer but I did some hod carrying, I did whatever was required that day. Sometimes on a pneumatic drill, sometimes carrying concrete floor blocks, sometimes just clearing rubbish into a skip. One job ended up as the assistant of the quantity surveyor which was a lot easier. It was mostly ladder/scaffolding work. I wasn't doing the mixing, I was a 19-21 year old student and I don't think they'd have trusted me. -
Rachel Reeves: Quit Now the Tipping Point for Britain’s Economy is Here
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You can't expect someone who lied on their CV to get the job to do the honourable thing and quit. Starmer needs to grow a pair for once and make the decision for her. She is clearly not only dishonest, but inept.- 69 replies

UK Taxpayer Compensation for Terrorists: A Dangerous Precedent
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Labour have long been friends with terrorists like Adams. I wouldn't be surprised if Starmer pushed hard to get his chum some cash. -

Your implication was very clear. If he hadn't been a sportsman he'd have ended up carrying a hod. It's a put down, not only of the sportsman by implying they are useless at everything other than sport, but also the hod carrier, using that profession as the example of "the only other thing" he would have been capable of. I'm not the least bit surprised you would try to slither out of it though. 😄 Nice to learn the type of company you keep... -

I know Chomps, I worked as a labourer on building sites during the holidays to put myself through 3 years of University. I can assure you it's extremely hard work, especially in the winter. It was you and your financial advisor mate who were using the hod carrier as an example of a low status job. Oh how you two intellectual giants must have laughed at the lowly working class labourers. 😄 -

Hardly. The guy is going bankrupt. 😄 I certainly didn't miss your disdain for those that are... Classic Labour supporter and their contempt for the working class of Britain. -

Nice to know the type of people you mix with. Sounds like he shares your disdain for the working classes. Bet you two had a right good laugh at those lowly "hod carriers". -
Elon Musk Eyed as Potential Buyer for TikTok Amid Looming US Ban

Let's hope he gets it. X is now a marvellous free speech platform, far removed from the bitter leftist echo chamber that Twitter had descended into. -
A House at Auschwitz Opens Its Doors to the Public for the First time

A good time to remind people what atrocities can occur when anti-semitism is allowed to flourish, often disguised as "anti-Zionism" or "Pro Palestinian". -
Pete Hegseth Pledges to Restore Warrior Ethos in U.S. Military
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Nice try. Second thoughts, no it wasn't. 😄 Back in reality, it was caused by empty reservoirs, unmaintanied forests and a fire department that had it's budget cut, whose remaining staff had been selected on their immutable characteristics rather than their ability to do the job. Hegseth will ensure the same mistake does not happen in the military. Kudos to him and for Trump appointing him.- 157 replies

Tough game against relegation rivals Southampton coming up. United really need a win to start pulling away from the bottom quarter of the league. Let's hope the second half of the season is better than the first.

Great news. We've seen recently with the LA fires what happens when you put DEI nonsense ahead of competence. -
Starbucks Tightens Policy on Store Access, Reversing 2018 Open-Door Rule
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Starbucks are not a charity. And I'd imagine many customers would not be thrilled sharing a toilet with some bum who has gone in there to find a nice warm spot to shoot up. -
Starbucks Tightens Policy on Store Access, Reversing 2018 Open-Door Rule
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It was a stupid policy that was bound to backfire. What did they think was going to happen? So you spend 10 dollars on a coffee and then there's nowhere to sit because some cheap charlie who walked in off the street has been sat there for 5 hours doing Zoom calls. Reminds me of the lefty theatre that signalled it's virtue recently by holding a free show "the needy" only for them to refuse to leave, set up camp and now they're going bankrupt. The mugs. 😄 https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-14282399/French-theatre-bankruptcy-250-African-migrants-refused-leave-remain-building.html
