How the Woke Turned a Suspected Killer Into a Cultural Icon
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Taylor Lorenz is an idiot. But we must thank her for perfectly encapsulating the hate and vitriol of the woke, #bekind leftists. We saw it after the Trump assassination attempts as well. The "joy" that they feel is often the result of the suffering of others. -
British swap gloom of Blighty for tropical Land of Smiles (video)
JonnyF replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
The freedom of Thailand must feel wonderful compared to the tyranny of Starmer's Britain. Come to think of it, North Korea probably looks pretty good in comparison as well.- 78 replies

Trump Celebrates Wray Resignation ‘A great day for America’
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This is a good start. But he still has a Wray to go. -
Anti-Semitic Vandalism & More Arson Sparks Outrage in Sydney
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Well what do you expect when you import Demographics with virtually nothing in common with Australian values? Did you expect them all to put a shrimp on the barbie and watch the footy with a schooner of Tooheys? Go dancing at the Mardi Gras? Enjoy the cultural enrichment Anthony. Just because you purport to be tolerant, it doesn't mean they are. -
Rachel Reeves Leaves Door Open to Potential Tax Rises Next Year
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Of course. She can't completely ruin the country's economy in one budget. It was a strong start to achieve her aims, but she will need several to achieve that goal. Good job her background is in customer complaints departments. -
JK Rowling Declines Peerage and Damehood, Citing Personal Beliefs
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Good on her. So many fake celebrities pretend to be staunch republicans or whatever and then roll over to have their tummy tickled as soon as they are offered a title. Rowling shows on so many issues that she has the courage of her convictions. Very refreshing in today's fakery. .- 29 replies

I was walking the dog at sunset on the farm on Sunday and heard the unmistakable crackle from a couple of fields away, followed by large plumes of black smoke. It's coming.

Oxford Union Faces Anti-Terror Probe Into Israel Debate
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
It seems Oxford University has changed a lot since the days of sitting on the banks of the river, drinking Pimm's with your hamper while watching the boat race. Can't imagine why... -
Jay-Z Challenges Anonymity of Sexual Assault Accuser Amid Legal Battle
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I suspect Jay-Z's problems are only just beginning. Interesting that two of his BFF's on the way up were R Kelly and P Diddy. You can tell a lot about someone by the company they keep. -
Interesting. Musk represents everything Labour hates. Rich, successful, anti Woke, pro free speech and anti-censorship. Hopefully Musk continues to use his platform to draw attention to the incompetence and downright nastiness of Free Gear Keir's tyrannical Labour party.

Kemi Badenoch and JD Vance Strengthen Ties Ahead of Trump Administration
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Seems the Trump administration are keen to strengthen ties with everyone except the Labour Party. Good judges of character. -

UK Job Market Struggles Amid Tax Hikes: Hiring Crisis Deepens
JonnyF replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Well blow me down with a feather. Who could have imagined that raising the cost of employing people would result in fewer people being employed? I guess this area wasn't covered during Rachel's 2 day orientation for the customer services department. -
Unfortunately the BBC is able to extort money from the public so they won't go broke. They'll keep paying huge salaries to the deviants working there. Labour won't stop this as the BBC is effectively their propaganda wing. The Guardian has no such ability. Although you never know under Labour, maybe they will introduce another tax to keep this far left mouthpiece afloat?

People who support Cashless Society
JonnyF replied to Chris Daley's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Totally agree. It's amazing what freedoms and privacy people will willingly hand over for a little convenience. It's like a twist on Benjamin Franklin's observation that those who give up liberty for temporary safety deserve neither. The same applies here. Jello Biafra's (real name Eric Boucher) satirical observation was bang on the money (excuse the pun) with the name of his bands 1987 album "Give me convenience or give me death". -
Banning is a little harsh, a surplus charge would be better (on planes) like they do with luggage, but probably not necessary on ferries. One is a small car and one is a large car. That's up to you. But you shouldn't impose the risk assocaiated with your poor choice of vehicle onto others. In many cases it's the EV that create the bumps and potholes due to all that weight. As is your defense of this flawed technology.
