I didn't know about that. Mobile in which way, like a pickup truck or something parked at the curb or how does it work?

its a Toyota Hitop van, painted in red and white colors of the post office

it hooks up to the mains electric directly outside Bangkok Pattaya hospital on Sukhumvit road

they have all the services a static post office offers except for accepting big items like motorbikes, fridges etc

they work from 8-30 - 12-30 am Monday to Friday

people come and go all the time and you can usually get parked on the road behind the van

although typically for Thailand many double park and run saunter to the van

Timekeeper trust me I bought those for several years because they are cheap. They are just plastic. Do yourself a favor if they are for you and buy real ones. Like I said if you are buying them to donate to a cause then sure they would be welcome.

Yes the yanks tried to cash in and copy the beatles but never came within 30 light years of the beatles. Davy Jones was a little before my time but I have heard the music and not really my scene. I'm not taking anything away from him and may he R.I.P.

i loved the Monkees, they were essential teenage viewing on Saturday mornings in the UK

i saw them many years later on a reunion tour at Demontfort Hall in Leicester around 1990

i met them backstage, Davy was a real gentleman

he had time for everyone, even after a long show.

as another one of my childhood heroes passes over too soon and serves to remind me of my own mortality

i for one will miss him.

I walk Jomtien beach frequently. Interesting to see some of these chair vendors are now farang. I saw one a few mornings ago filling up the ice chest with beer and drinks from his nearby pickup truck. There's another who is camped out there every day, overseeing the operation.

I think that must be farangs helping out their wives/partners though?

a farang friend of has a section of pattaya beach, he sublets it out to Thais

Beach chair vendors had it too good with the masses of Russia tourists descending on them over the past few years! Gone are the days when they were friendly and obliging in the hope to see you again. Like someone mentioned, the Pattaya prices should be 30 baht and not 50 as happened to someone else and frankly, also to me. I went to Central beach near Mikes mall and having just sat down a Thai guy came and yelled at me in the most rude manner: "50 baht and you pay now!"

i have a rule that has served me well here in Thailand:

i don't give money to people i don't like........

i would have just left and said ''you lose'' and found somewhere else to sit

the city council regulated rental price for a chair is 30 baht a day on Pattaya beach

This is quite common in that part of the world. Go to any Black Sea resort (be it in Romania, Ukraine, Russia or Bulgaria) and you will see topless men in the shopping malls, at restaurants and so on. I think this has to do with the level of education.

+1I'm Russian, and my friends never go topless outside beach.

I live in Bangkok but I visit Pattaya quite often for the night life and beaches, well last time inside Central food court , I looked around and there they were, the topless men from Russia , you can spot a Russian from a long distance, And they look like they just came out of a time machine from the 70s .

Sorry I have nothing against Russians , but please dress properly , not fun when you sit around the table with your friends to eat and around you all this nudity......
