  1. Rak Santi Party leader Purachai Piumsombun said the Cabinet debate on pardon should not be kept confidential because it would have an impact on a large number of people.

"Thaksin was a police cadet and should remain a gentleman," he said, adding that royal pardon should only be granted to those who show remorse and are not fugitives.

He added that during his time as interior minister in Thaksin's reign, he had advised against pardon sought by a daughter for her fugitive father.

It would seem the rift between former Thai Rak Thai Purachai and former Thai Rak Thai Thaksin is still well in place.

Do his last words refer to the murderer Kamnan Poh, who fled from punishment during Thakin's regime?

Staggering that we hear more from Chalerm in the last 2 days than we had during weeks and weeks of flooding. :bah:

    .

that's probably because he knows nothing about serving the public good, only his private gain..........

  2. Does anybody have an official link for this new date? It was Dec 5th, the Nov 25, now Dec 17th? I've searched numerous sites and am getting conflicting dates! It's a great time for sure.

hi Craig, i got it from one of the higher up officials at City hall

you know what they are like, they will probably issue the advance publicity on the 20th........

  3. Punch and Judy pub is the only place for me. Their sunday roasts are superb so I fully expect an outstanding xmas dinner. It aint cheap but it's only once a year for heavens sake. I went to the pig and whistle last year and it was disgraceful.

Will need to book in advance though.

    i went there tonight

they said xmas day dinner was fully booked

  4. i know of two people who do this, one thai lady and one farang man (not a couple or connected)

personally i think its a deceptive service that preys on the lonely hearts

from what they have said about the 'punters'', in the end, it all comes down to money.................

'in the end, it all comes down to money.................'

Yeah, we got it and they want it and we think that we can buy love....no, you can only rent love on the internet and the bars, but some lonely idiots think it's real. That's sad, but why not make them happy [for a price] if they are gullible enough to belive it??

I expect how one views that kind of thing, is a reflection of your own morals and integrity.........

  6. Where is Mini Siam and the bottle Museum ?

Mini Siam is across Sukhumvit Road and a bit north of North Rd, Look for the Macdonalds

The Bottle Museum is across Sukhumvit and a bit south of Central Rd. Not far past the bus station if I remember correctly.

the bottle museum is now a car spraying/repair shop

    fascinating though.......

  7. Thank you Timekeeper.

I missed the announcement. Is there a provisional running order yet? Do you know of a webpage or another source of information?

sorry no other details than that

i was at city hall on other business and asked them for the new dates

i expect they will publicize it more when its closer to the date......

  8. probably been said already by someone but 26 pages to read through, jeeez

anyway i saw a burnt orange Wildtrak in Pattaya yesterday

spotted near the temple at the bottom of Soi nung plab wan

it looked good, turned many heads but not 100% sure of the colour

however it created enough interest for me to come here

    and go here

I really like the new Ford orange, think they call it Chili Orange.

Read on here that AAT will start making them again today after closing due to floods so hopefully they won't be delayed too much.

Its the same orange as used on the fiesta - to me it doesn't work well on the fiesta, but might work ok on the ranger:) Need to see it in the flesh though.

i have black boxes in my car

i have just viewed the footage from the memory card

its definitely that one, it went past at a junction

i am now downloading an .AVI editor and will post footage when i have the edited clip of it

    Good to hear.

Did it look similar to this?

Or any details different?Like color on plastic details, stickers etc

    Ford-ranger-wildtrak-04-600x406.jpg

    .

Following your link I could just find their former trucks.

You are sure it was an not an ordinary orange 2010 Wildtrak? Like this one:

    file450.jpg

    it was the first one

  11. I use the one on Sukhumvit as well. Fast and easy.

    they are good jimmy

i once sold a Mercedes to a buyer from Chang Mai

he came down to Pattaya to view the car

we did all the paperwork and he paid me on their premises, withe them as witnesses

the lovely old Chinese guy even rang his counterpart in Chang Mai and organized that the man could pick up his newly registered book there

it gave the buyer a lot of confidence that the deal was secure

now when i sell anything, i always pay the transfer fees as part of the deal and then i can choose where its done

that way i know its going to be done right

they are very nice & very efficient people

i would not use anyone else at any price.......

  13. i never mentioned being disappointed. we had a blast.

sorry i misunderstood your post, didn't mean to put my words in your mouth

if i had struggled to get there as we did, i would have been dissapointed that he did not appear

  14. i use the Chinese family that operate the government vehicle inspection station on the left side of sukhumvit headed to Bangkok

they are about 100 meters after Boontavorn Home shop between Klang and Nua, almost opposite the flyover

i just go in the car, give them the papers & they deal with everything

its usually back for pick up in 2-3 days

when buying or selling i always do it there too

i have them check the car is what its supposed to be, witness the turnover of the paperwork, co- sign the transfer papers as witness and then observe the exchange of money

    easy and secure..........

  15. On Sukhumvit today saw two crashes ,one involving a speeding pick up ,both cars involved in the crashes had Bangkok plates ,and the traffic was bloody awfull ,please floods go down and bangkok people go home. :(

    my cars on bangkok plates

    it does not equate

Did you buy the car in Bangkok,or just want to be "flash" :D

thats why locals get bkk plates according to my wife.

ps ,i am sorry for them but will be glad when they are off home ,especially those next door ,well their dog anyway. :)

actually i bought it in Chang Mai but i had it transferred to a condo address in BKK

it was done to capitalize on the higher prices usually realised by Bangkok registered vehicles when it comes to selling, not to be ''flash''

it was a financial thing not a social thing

however after the floods that may well no longer apply and Chonburi plates may be the most treasured as they are far less likely to have been submarines ...........

Totaly agree with you there ,as there are going to be some very nervous buyers around when the floods have gone away  especially as you say if they have Bangkok plates

might be a good time to flip to Chonburi plates.........
