  1. Seeking Current info on applying for O visa based on retirement while in TH. Excuse me please if the answers are scattered over the site but I can't find them. Embassy info seems dated and I can't find the application form for this. When do I apply? And what is required? Arriving Chiang Mai visa exempt. US passport, over 50, 800K in Thai bank. Thanks all.

  4. Maybe the question pertains to the 'rise'. The length from the crotch to the waist. It's usually too short for falang wear. Like a cheap hotel - no ballroom.

  8. Seeking info from recent experience, please. How long might it take to get from intl arrival 3PM to domestic departures. (no checked baggage, have Thai Pass all that jazz). I'm hoping for estimates/experience of getting thru immigration, customs, etc to make a tight connection. Thanks much.

  12. I have only lost one deposit. It was a falang owner. The two Thais I rented from refunded promptly and cheerfully.
  13. Traveling from Vietnam I managed to explain that my retirement visa means I am returning to my home. Another guy had to buy a ticket to somewhere ($50) before he was issued a boarding pass.

  18. Exactly my experience. Never a problem. On the Wise transfer there is a list to select reason for transfer. The answer is: for long term stay in Thailand.
