The situation you describe is, unfortunately, probably more likely than not. If Putin keeps his nukes within the confines of Ukraine, it would be difficult for NATO to retaliate in kind without provoking World War III. BUT, it would be possible for Ukraine itself to retaliate within Russia with artillery of its own. So perhaps it would be in the interest of both Ukraine and the west to arm the Ukrainians with long range missiles capable of significant damage within Russia. No one would dispute Ukraine's right to retaliate if Putin employed nukes, even low yield, in Ukraine.

Trump's latest revelation regarding the declassification of classified documents.... [I Can Declassify Docs Just ‘by Thinking About It’] https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/donald-trump-tells-fox-news-host-i-can-declassify-docs-just-by-thinking-about-it/ar-AA1267nK?ocid=wispr&cvid=c1b53c8b6f69420dbaf1518509f0200b Just another reason why this guy should never be President.

You (and Bill Barr) can call it what you want. But the mountain of evidence doesn't lie. Over 200 pages of it. You should send Trump some money. He'll need it.

I like these other satirical headlines....555555 Mitch McConnell expels Joe Manchin from the Republican Party. Josh Hawley worries that being a coward is overshadowing his work as a fascist. Steve Bannon’s lawyers argue that imprisoning him would be cruel and unusual punishment to other prisoners. Tucker Carlson accuses Joe Biden of lowering gas prices. Boris Johnson freaks out after Rudy Giuliani arrives in London to help him. Fox News is unable to air the January 6th hearings owing to reruns of the Benghazi hearings. Brett Kavanaugh complains that protesters outside his home are obstructing his daily keg deliveries.

It is rather amazing that Trump supporters will still believe him after thousands and thousands of lies. Fact is, Trump can lie on Twitter or other social media with impunity. He can lie in interviews. He can lie to the press. He can lie to his wife. One place he can't lie is a court of law. And that's where he fails time and time again.

The surprising details behind DeSantis’ and Abbott’s immigration stunts
Berkshire replied to Scott's topic in World News
Khun Trump wants you to know that it was his idea all along...... [The twice-impeached former president, the sources say, has also vented that DeSantis’ latest stunt was yet another one of “my idea[s]” that the governor allegedly stole from Trump.] https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-fumes-desantis-stole-plan-235939712.html Also heard that Trump was planning on taking credit for the Russians taking over Ukraine. That is until Putin bungled it. -
Just about everything requiring labor is inexpensive in Thailand.....compared to the USA. This includes medical, dental, electrician, gardener, car wash, laborer, transport, car body work.....heck, even female companionship....5555 But I do find the price of imports, especially automobiles, a bit nutty.

Majority of Americans concerned about Biden’s mental health: new poll
Berkshire replied to Scott's topic in World News
The Dems may just keep Papa Joe around in case Trump runs in 2024. Because if there's one thing Joe Biden can do in his sleep is beat Trump like a drum. -
Man, you're just jumping all over the place. Firstly, the Big Lie is understood by everyone that it's Trump's fake claim of election fraud in 2020. It's "big" and it's a "lie," pretty accurate. The only people who would claim that the term is "tainted" are those who believe Trump won the election. Who cares what those people think. As for Dem's supporting MAGA candidates, Trump was no different. He was pushing for Bernie Sanders to get the Democratic nomination prior to the 2020 election because he knew Sanders was more beatable. [President Trump has stepped up his efforts to boost Bernie Sanders’ presidential campaign and to sow doubts among Sanders’ supporters about the fairness of the nomination process, an update of the disruptive strategy he believes helped him win the White House four years ago.] [Many of Trump’s allies see Sanders as the most beatable Democrat in November, although there is growing debate over whether they are underestimating Sanders’ ability to galvanize a hidden bloc of disgruntled voters, as Trump did in 2016.] https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2020-02-28/trump-seeks-to-boost-sanders-and-foment-discord-among-democrats

I wonder if this law has ever been enforced. As another reader asked, how much compensation? How can the courts force the person to pay? Appeals? And what if the person who cheated with your wife claims that she swears she was not married? The guy can sue the wife for lying about her marital status? Anyways, perhaps a well-meaning law, but not real practical or even enforceable.

President Biden has had more legislative victories in less than two years than almost any President in recent memory. But nevermind that. I know Republicans are getting desperate because what looked like a typical mid-term cruise to victory for the party not in power is looking rather grim. You sound a lot like them folks.

The US economy is doing well, gas and energy prices going down. inflation stabilizing/going down, unemployment at record lows. Immigration issues are the same as it always has been, including under Trump. So there's to the issues you think Americans care about. As for issues Americans really care about, yes democracy is under threat because of Trump and his acolytes and American women don't appreciate having the rights to their own bodies being taken away by the government. And yes, MAGA morons are a threat to the American way of life.

North Korea declares itself a nuclear weapons state, in 'irreversible' move
Berkshire replied to Scott's topic in World News
Complete nonsense. There was no "normalized relations" between the US and NK under Trump. Trump accomplished NOTHING with N. Korea in four years. NK was already a nuclear power when Biden took over. As for all of your other comments....almost nothing there resembles truth. Your propaganda might work in the right wing echo chambers, but not in the real world. -
I meant to comment on this. I always thought that guys grew beards because they had a weak chin, so the beard hides it. Unless they're a jihadist or mountain man (or wannabe). When some women say they find beards attractive, not sure if they're really being honest or PC. At least Thai women are honest. They mostly find beards repulsive.

True. The flat-earthers are no different than people who fall for conspiracies related to 9/11, the moon landing, climate change, COVID vaccines, US 2020 election fraud, and all manner of right wing craziness. For one, they've got a few loose screws upstairs. And two, they don't realize they've got a few loose screws upstairs and think they're actually smarter than everyone else. But they're too lazy (and stupid) to do any real research and just scour the internet for any obscure writing that might support their unhinged theories. I mention "right-wing" because I see so much silly stupid sht from these people on a routine basis.

Bill Maher Killed it Friday 9 Sept
Berkshire replied to Walker88's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
That's a lot to dissect. But this caught my eye...."Galloway notes some disturbing trends, such as in 2008, 8% of men under the age of 30 were virgins. In 2022 that number is 35%." What? 35% of US men under 30 are virgins? I myself was a late bloomer, didn't get laid til I was about 19! But geez man, maybe this is why American dudes are so uptight. They end up becoming Incels and Proud Boys. As for this...."Galloway has a view that the greatest threat to any society is lonely males." In America, that translates to lonely males with a gun....yeah, pretty darn dangerous. Maybe that's why they need Christianity in the USA. So guys don't have to think about the sex that they're not getting! -
I was wondering where this could be until I realized you're back in the USA. This gave it away...."herds of obese people wobbled around blocking the passageways...." 5555555

Criminals will typically go after the most vulnerable, naive, gullible, soft targets basically. And there are right wing criminals going after a certain demographic that is the easiest to fleece: Trump supporters. Trump himself has been doing this for years with great success, but there are many doing the same using his name. Can't blame them. There's millions to be made from these people who are, frankly, the dumbest on Earth.
-
On top of that..... [Mr. Bannon would be the latest Trump pardon recipient to be prosecuted since the passage of a 2019 New York law that explicitly allows such charges. That law passed after an attempt to prosecute another Trump ally, Paul J. Manafort, was challenged on double-jeopardy grounds.] https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/in-bannon-case-manhattan-d-a-takes-on-another-pardoned-trump-ally/ar-AA11zYuR?ocid=wispr&cvid=9e6a6206d4304aa6b5db976c6208ced2

True. These people are not the brightest and almost don't care if they're being ripped off. But Trump's fundraising apparatus is rather cunning and unrelenting. Almost like a boiler room hyping penny stocks. In a way, Trump is doing the Dems a big favor entering the mid-terms. He's siphoning much of the money that would otherwise go to Republican candidates. Instead of a blowout, the mid-terms will be much closer than previously thought....thanks to Trump.

I greatly appreciate that you're not interested in me.....not that there's anything wrong with that.
