Chinese Rolls-Royce Owner Demands Compensation from Pickup Truck Driver
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
She might turn around and say, 'Don't you know who my Chinese Daddy is'? IIRC her Mum is Thai, which makes her Thai and her Daddy is Chinese. It seems as though the Chinese don't allow dual nationality which is why she is Thai. -
What a surprise. I though I remembered Surayud Chulanont's name from way back. He was the general who led the illegal military coup against Thaksin Shinawatra back in 2006. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surayud_Chulanont He was the Prime Minister of Thailand and head of Thailand's interim government between 2006 and 2008. He is a former supreme commander of the Royal Thai Army. He commanded troops during Bloody May, the violent 1992 crackdown on anti-government protesters, but he denied giving his men the order to shoot protesters. He was promoted to army commander during the government of Chuan Leekpai and was promoted to supreme commander in 2003, under the government of Thaksin Shinawatra. Surayud and Privy Council President Prem Tinsulanonda played a key role in the promotion of General Sonthi Boonratklin to the position of army commander. Sonthi overthrew the government of Shinawatra in a coup on 19 September 2006 and implored Surayud to be the head of interim government. Surayud's government was controversial. There was a significant worsening in perceived levels of corruption during his government.[1] Surayud's Deputy Finance Minister, Sommai Pasee, was sentenced to jail for abuse of power.[2] Surayud raised the military budget by 35% and was accused of economic mismanagement, rampant human rights abuses, and flip-flopping on numerous policies. There is more in the link, which is openly available on the internet. I suppose that bad deeds do get rewarded after a while.

Chinese Rolls-Royce Owner Demands Compensation from Pickup Truck Driver
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
But all the correct parts to repair the Rolls Royce Ghost (starting price is 32.7 million thb) will have to be imported and the customs duty on that will be high. When you add on the labour costs, plus the cost of a respray, at one of the very few RR dealers in Thailand the costs will be extortionate. IMHO her insurance company (and the owner) will not accept any cheap repair. -
Yet the current illegal coup caretaker PM found a better way to get an amnesty. Simply pull a military coup, steal the entire country at the point of a gun. Tear up the existing constitution and get a new one written by your mates, that gives you and all your mates an amnesty for ALL past, present and future acts. Promise the Thai people whatever they want, knowing that once you are in total control, they won't get anything anyway,
-
So you have no idea either. Why bother to post.
-
No real surprise there. After all who appointed the CC in the first place? Not only that but who tore up the previous constitution and had a new constitution. The minister for everything.

And Thaksin was never charged with anything like that at all. I am sure that the coup government that illegally deposed him would have loved to have charged Thaksin with that. But they didn't. Did your investigation show why he was not charged with that alleged crime?

Why is it a joke? I have to see one doctor in September about one problem, and a different doctor in a different hospital about a different problem. If you don't listen to your doctor, your life can get difficult very quickly. I, like you have no idea why he went for an eye exam but at his age (74) having an eye problem can complicate your life very much. I didn't start wearing glasses until I was 50, my first wife in the UK started wearing them at 11 years old. I admire his daughter for travelling to Dubai even if all she does for Thaksin is simply be there. https://www.webmd.com/eye-health/eye-doctors-optometrists-ophthalmologists https://www.webmd.com/eye-health/eye-doctors-optometrists-ophthalmologists#1-1 There are two main types of eye doctors: ophthalmologists and optometrists. Confused about which is which and who does what? Here's a look at how they're different. Keep in mind that these professionals can work together and that a team approach can be the best option for eye care.

When millions of Thais vote for a change, 250 appointed yet NOT elected senators can block them? quote from your post "Yes, but people get the government they deserve". Do they really? How does that work out when there is a military coup?
-
You seem to believe that would have been enough. How quaint, how naive. Millions of Thais wanted and still want him to be the PM yet he is not because a very tiny number of Thais, including the caretaker illegal coup government, led by the self appointed minister of everything and everybody will NOT let it happen

I have kept for around 30 years and I won't let her get away now. Mind you she can walk faster than I can run, something I haven't been able to do in years. -

I just watched the video and if President Biden is using a teleprompter it must be well disguised. -

Whilst they must now be able to what a dodgy lying fruitcake he is, sadly it doesn't mean that they want to believe it. -

And what has Trump provided from his vast personal fortune. Another whining completely inaccurate post to keep his MAGAtron supporters happy. -
El Nino lowers Chao Phraya levels, predicted rain in 16 Thai provinces
billd766 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I was in Kamphaeng Phet yesterday and the Ping river levels were the highest I have seen this year, The Ping river joins the Nan river 130 km downstream to form the Chao Phraya river at Nakhon Sawan. -
Good for her and Thaksin also.

Meet More Women In A Week Than You Have In 10 years
billd766 replied to LaosLover's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
The only extra women I meet lately are the doctors and nurses in the hospital. It is difficult for me to chat them up, as my wife follows me around all the time, pushing the wheelchair. ????
