But you can talk to the call centre from the bank and play pass the phone. That worked for me a couple of times. -

You could have tried talking to the banks call centre. You will need a smartphone so that you can be on the speaker, and select which language you need, and follow the directions from there. TMB Thanachart Bank Call centre number 1428 That will lead you onto their " for this service press this number etc" You can select the English language and work from there. -

IIRC, KBank charge 20 baht for an out of province withdrawal. I have no idea what Bangkok Bank charges. -

There is a similar electronic board at my local KBank and also at the Bangkok Bank in Kamphaeng Phet. There is always somebody to sort a ticket out for me, and depending on which services I want, I just sit and read my Ebook until my number comes up and it will tell me which counter to go to. -

Six in 10 Americans don't want Trump to be president again: 2024 poll
billd766 replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
But it seems as though it is not 3 but 6 out of 10 who don't want Trump. -
Well to start with I live in rural Kamphaeng Phet as I have done since 2004 with 3 years in Bangkok before that. And I have been working in and out of Thailand since 1993. I read the rest of your post and found little truth in it and consider it a total waste of space. I ONLY speak for myself and if you think that I am "quote from your post, you are just one of them and not all are blind and hateful as you are..." you really ought to look at my past posts. Who knows you may even learn something

Removal of ‘Ruby Bridges’ film from Pinellas school sparks outrage
billd766 replied to onthedarkside's topic in World News
Is the North Shore Elementary parent who would not allow her child to watch the film when it was shown in early March a fully qualified teacher. Does she have ANY teaching qualifications at all? She later complained that it wasn’t appropriate for second graders yet it appears that other second graders have watched it for years without any ill effects It has been a staple of Pinellas County Black History Month lessons for years. Yet because only one, yes only one, parent has complained the film is now not permitted to be shown to second graders. Perhaps it is just me but IMO some parts of the USA are simply falling apart. Perhaps what the school ought to have done is take o survey of all second grade student parent for the last 5 years and see how many other second graders have been affected. Then they can post and give the result to the complaining parent and talk about majority rules. I feel sorry for the second grader who has to face their classmates every day, due to the stupidity of the the parent. -
Well I have just done an internet search and come up with this link . https://hague.thaiembassy.org/th/publicservice/e-visa-categories-fee-and-required-documents E-visa Categories and Required Documents Dutch passport holders can visit Thailand for up to 30 days without a visa under a Tourist Visa Exemption scheme. For an explanation about permitted period of stay and visa validity, please see: https://hague.thaiembassy.org/th/page/42922-general-information The embassy may request applicants to submit additional documents and proof as deemed necessary. CATEGORY 1 : Tourism and recreation related visit VISA TYPE: Tourist Visa (60 days stay) FEE: 35 EUR for single entry (3 months validity) 175 EUR for multiple entries (6 months validity with maximum stay of 60 days. There is more information in the link. IMO somebody at the Thai Immigration has made a spherical up and not stamped her in correctly. They are saying that it must be her fault which is why they arrested her, even though the fault must be due to Immigration not doing their job properly. Instead of arresting her all they had to do was their job, but properly, and stamp her in. Now this will hit the social media in europe.

The thread is actually about Songkran, which is not an exclusively Bangkok festival.

My apologies for not making it clear. I was talking about the family Songkran as practised in rural Thailand.

Is opium not a drug, and that is not chemical? https://museum.dea.gov/exhibits/online-exhibits/cannabis-coca-and-poppy-natures-addictive-plants/opium-poppy The poppy plant, Papaver somniferum, produces opium, a powerful narcotic whose derivatives include morphine, codeine, heroin, and oxycodone. The term “narcotic” refers to opium, opium derivatives, and their semi-synthetic substitutes. Narcotics are used therapeutically to treat pain, suppress cough, alleviate diarrhea, and induce anesthesia. However, they are some of the most addictive substances known to man. As misused drugs, they are often smoked, sniffed, or injected.
