why is the tool bar at the bottom of the page?

Now it's jumped back where it belongs. Has someone been doing things with the software? -
Here is a place for Americans to Apologize to Canadians
thaibeachlovers replied to Jingthing's topic in Political Soapbox
Just in case you missed it while writing hate Trump posts, TRUMP WON, Trump is going to be POTUS for the next 4 years. 😪 -
I thought so too, but on closer inspection it seems the front wheel has been pushed back against the engine. Just because you put your turn signal on doesn't mean you can enter a lane until it is safe to do so, she got hit, so it wasn't safe to do so. Thai road "rules" says it does. Must do as they do that all the time.
-
Even if she was doing so, it does not excuse the idiot driving the m'bike from speeding. I say idiot, because no sensible person rides a m'bike at high speed in a built up area of Thailand, simply because they don't look before driving out. One has to ride at a speed that one can avoid a collision at all times. It was my constant fear while driving on two lane country roads that some kid and his/ her four friends would ride out in front of me without looking, and be killed, followed by the villagers beating me to death with sticks. While that didn't happen, obviously, I narrowly avoided killing a kid on a push bike riding in the middle of the road without any lights at night time. One has to be prepared for the unexpected whenever on Thai roads.

I finally managed to make it disappear by reducing my zoom size and it's hiding at the bottom now. However, if it hadn't been obstructing the screen I'd never have known where it was and been posting that I couldn't find notifications. -
Can I put it back where it was before? It's horrible at the bottom. If this is a deliberate change by AN it's NOT A GOOD ONE.

He's still beating that drum, I see. Bit sad really. I guess he doesn't get that millions of US voters didn't give a monkey's bottom for all that whining BS from the Dems propaganda mill.
-
My eyes, ears, brain and common sense tell me that Trump was a far, far better choice than Harris, despite any failings he may have. Rather than whining ad infinitum about how bad Trump is, you lot should be blaming the Dems for putting a loser up as candidate. Seems they picked the only one guaranteed to lose to the "worst man on the planet", when it should have been an easy win for the Dems.

Highly rated for the very good reason that it is genuinely funny. I used to watch it all the time but I can't get Fox here.

Trump named Time’s ‘Person of the Year’ for second time
thaibeachlovers replied to mania's topic in Political Soapbox
While Time seems to have become less influential in recent years, well done to them for gritting their teeth and putting someone that they may not welcome as POTUS on the cover. I might even buy a copy to see what they say about him. -
Hopefully a collection of egotistical wannabees that kick Democrat and liberal butts into touch. I don't know that Trump has "triggered chaos in anticipation", but he's certainly making a few Euro leaders stressed out, which is a good thing IMO. He's not even POTUS yet and he's got the Mexican president making noises about preventing illegals crossing into the US, rather than helping them get there. All good.

Cue exploding heads. -
It occurred to myself when I read the OP that a lot of unprovable claims were being made. I suspect he doesn't know, but they need to sell the things and a spot of propaganda doesn't go amiss for that. Be interesting to ask what the probability of humans still being here next century is, or if God exists.
-
I agree with most of your post and of course that part as I've been saying that for a while myself. Unfortunately a few ( or many ) actually believe that our science is infallible and fixed. One of the main posters claiming that science ( and polls ) was all knowing seems to have vanished. Perhaps back under a different username, given how wrong he was on so many things.

Thailand Birth Rate Nosedives: 81% Drop Surpasses Japan
thaibeachlovers replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Errrrr, you seem confused about what I wrote. I thought that "One of the few jobs requiring a human will be in hospital and specifically in aged care" indicated that robots will NOT replace humans involved in patient care in hospitals. At least not in the foreseeable future. -
I'm not disputing what you said, but if a 13 year old jumps into a car driven by a stranger and goes to an unknown destination at night time and signs a paper that she obviously didn't understand ( and is not of legal age anyway so it's null and void ), she must either be as thick as 4 short planks, or have a death wish, IMO.

It's a rotten world and bad things happen all the time. Wishin' and hopin' for a decent world just isn't realistic. The Sudanese war has killed way more people than Gaza and Ukraine combined and it's basically ignored by western media. It's not a question of if there was justification for any of it, it just is, a product of vile humans that want war, and plenty of them on both sides. It's in our nature. You don't think the present course could lead to WW3? No. WW3 is The End, and even dictators don't want to eke out their last days in a hole in the ground. It's a convenient boogieman though.
