  1. The prosecution DOES have to consider if a jury would find the accused guilty. If in doubt, the case would likely be refused.
  2. I look at it from the point of view that the women that fall for such lies, trickery and pressure must be rather thick in the brain department. Not that that's any excuse for actual rape- consent is consent, but perhaps guys should start getting it in writing.
  3. but women must like such, given the number of men being banged up on phony decades ago cases. Only rich and famous men of course. No point in accusing Joe Blow the unemployed bricklayer as they won't have enough of the readies.
  4. I don't like him personally, but taking 26 year old cases is BS. I'm sure that if Brand was richer a lot more than 4 women would be lining up for a payout. In 26 years he must have had more than 4 women stupid enough to do him, and they are not claiming naughtiness. Seems we have a fair number of posters that are females masquerading as men that automatically assume any man is guilty of sexual naughtiness. What else explains the rush to judgement when the court case hasn't even begun?
  5. No disagreement that wars are won and lost by sheer luck, and the determined will usually win if prepared to sacrifice enough citizens. However, if it comes down to sheer slaughter Putin is the man for that. US Generals have reported that Ukraine has fixed its manning issues. Are they saying that the Ukrainians are now volunteering by the thousands and that Phuket will shortly have no Unkrainians left? I suspect they mean the press gangs are doing a better job at forcing the unwilling into the front lines. Fighting to the last man is a habit of US generals. Patton won his battles but reportedly his cannon fodder were not fans. Look at the death toll of marines against Japan. suffering unsustainable losses of carriers to Kamikaze attacks (hence relived by the British armoured carriers). Do tell! In my history book the tide was turned against the Kamikaze by a change of tactics, though it is true that the US had a strange habit of sending wooden decked carriers into battle, which was not a wise decision. Not the only wrong decision made either.
  6. Point out what is racist about saying poor countries are overpopulated. You are the one bringing race into it. It's a fact that educated people have less children, eg Japan, South Korea and Singapore.
  7. Most of us know who the fool is and it's not you.
  8. Most people can survive weeks without food. Hydration is essential and if no other supply, urine can be drunk safely. It is mainly water.
  9. Craig's problem was that the woke scripts had him caring about his disposable bed fodder. A real Bond doesn't care about anyone.
  10. Perhaps you nailed it about the plots. Moore's Bond films were obviously done on the cheap- appallingly bad special effects which ruined them for me. I just don't like Brosnan ( he was such a very bad choice for Mama Mia that they had to reduce his screen time to almost nothing in Mama Mia 2 ) and for me his best part was in the Long Good Friday. IMO Brosnan was just too smug to be a convincing Bond.
  11. If every insult leveled at Trump was a brick, we could build a road to the moon! I suppose insults are all they have now, considering their candidate was so incredibly bad.
  12. Great post, especially the bit about making a few who control the global supply lines very, very wealthy. I had been going to post something similar but you beat me to it. Globalisation, IMO, is built on BS by the 1% that use it to exploit poor workers in Asia to make inferior products that are sold at a large profit in western countries by the same people that exported all the jobs to exploit the poor overseas. I suppose it's too much to hope that the 1% will suffer if they lose their exploited workers, but I expect they will simply build automated factories in the US to make inferior products to be sold at a substantial profit- business as usual. IMO Globalisation is corrupt and rotten to the core, and I hope it is burned to the ground ( figuratively ). If Trump is the man to light the fire, kudos to him for that.
  13. I can think of a few people I'd like to be on that rocketship as well as Elon- one way, of course.
  14. Agreed. Most of those countries have a lot of money, but only in the hands of a small number of people. Let those governments use that money to feed their own poor. When did it become popular to expect the US to feed every poor person on the planet?
  15. Eg countries that have been ripping off the US for decades. No tears for them.
  16. Yes I support stopping illegal immigration, dumping the faux climate change BS , not using US taxes to support every poor person on the planet, and holding the Euros to the agreed amounts of contributions to NATO. Consigning woke and DEI to the garbage bin is to be applauded, as is decimating the bloated civil service. It's in the M E that Trump's brain is apparently absent. Supporting that country should not include letting them do anything that the US would not tolerate in Ukraine.
  17. The evidence is overwhelming. The real crime is that they are carried out with impunity under the cover of the US veto in the UN.
  18. Seems that when it's a country, the government can ignore the law if it chooses. Perhaps I can use that if I'm ever arrested for something.
  19. Sadly we live in a world where human trash never learn to control their emotions and impact others negatively. IMO a good beating is the only language they understand.
  20. In some cases, certain youths I've encountered need a good beating. Unfortunately I live in a country that would penalise me for doing so.
  21. M'bike riders should learn to drive according to the prevailing road user ethos. If he didn't drive expecting a vehicle to drive out in front of him he is an idiot. I always expected morons to try and kill me when I was riding my bike, some tried.
  22. Were they ever rational?
  23. There are no penguins at the south pole. Why don't you go look at a map of Antarctica?
