  1. That may be the case, and it's likely that contributors to a British military forum are likely to be invested in Ukraine, given they spent their military careers facing the Bear, but likes don't win wars. I suspect you know that. IMO, short of some extraordinary event, or some Euro politician going baba and sending troops, the end isn't going to be in Zelensky's favour. With the extra billions they managed to rustle up by financial shennanigans, Ukraine could probably hold on for a while, but once men prefer jail to the front ( much better chance of survival ) the Euros run out of old kit to give away, and if Trump wins, what other option is there than negotiations?
  2. I think you missed the statement by netanyahu saying they will hunt down any Hamas even after a ceasefire. Would you release ( presumably ) the only reason israel hasn't gone Armageddon on Gaza, without an amnesty?
  3. Houthis to the east, Hezbollah to the north, Turkey to the northwest, Jordan which has millions of Palestinian refugees across the river, and Iran itching to give it large to israel. I don't know where Egypt will stand if it all goes sideways, but that would depend on the situation, I suppose, and now the highest court on the planet coming out against israeli settlers and settlements. It's not exactly looking rosy for israel!
  4. I think you are denigrating 5 year olds with that comment.
  5. Did Trump actually say any of that or was it just anti Trump propaganda? If true I'm sure you have a quote of it to show us. I think Biden's science advisors were just as bad as the ones elsewhere, and ours were diabolical, IMO.
  6. No. Dark forces are at work on the planet and no one man is capable to defeating them.
  7. Agree with part 1. He didn't f#$# up the rest of the world last time, so I hope he won't this time either. Not starting a war would be great for all of us.
  8. To listen to Harris she thinks she has the nomination in the bag. That's not guaranteed. If she wins it'll only be because she didn't have to win a primary first. The fix is in, folks. Don't be fooled. IMO we are being played to get Harris into the W H.
  9. I wish he was. Having my opinion of Biden from the start, I liked having my opinion confirmed. This way he gets a pass.
  10. I doubt Biden has that capability!
  11. So much for Biden's wet dream of preventing an escalation of the war in the Middle East. Counting down 10...9...8....
  12. We have been told many many times that American voters are "ignorant" though that was usually pointed at Trump supporters. IMO it goes both ways if at all.
  13. Just as well they want the horrible Harris and not some likeable and competent politician, or I might have to support them, and I don't like the Democrat party.
  14. They probably did, but he thought they were talking about someone else.
  15. I actually posted that he climbed on the plane without a mask, passing military escort that were maskless. Just BS IMO and used as a precurser to dropping out after dropping a gigantic hint in an interview that he'd drop out if he got a medical condition. I "dislike" Biden and his cabal as much as some on here "dislike" Trump. My only regret is that it makes it less of a sure thing that Trump wins, but at least it's the very unlikable Harris.
  16. Nothing boggles me more than people that "get hurt" by offensive remarks on line and continue to be "hurt". It's the easiest thing in the world to ignore by either not reading such posts or by not going on sites with such. On AN we have the ignore function which does that job. Seems like some people are incapable of not reading garbage about themselves.
  17. Nana was almost my first hotel ever in Thailand. Arrived in LOS without an hotel booked. Looked on the big board with hotels and chose a different one not far away because it was cheaper. Got screwed when security made me pay extra for a "guest". Back then Nana Plaza was so quiet that I passed by on Sukhumvit and didn't even know it was there. Ended up in Patpong, much to my regret.
  18. Agree 100%. I preferred Pattaya but C M was cheaper, and I had a great life even without a pension, till the money ran out. Lifestyle there a zillion times better than now.
  19. Sounds like you threw the baby out with the bathwater. You could have moved to one of the islands or the Gulf coast. Had I been able to, I'd never have left Thailand, no matter what. Not being able to get the pension there killed that dream.
  20. Just. It used to be awesome, but that was a while back. The main sensible contributors haven't been on it for ages. I think I'm the last of the regulars from the start to still be on the forum ( but not on that thread ), though some on my ignore list may be posting elsewhere.
  21. I knew it well. I'd hang about when the disco closed. Had to be a monger's wet dream. I don't know how many people could fit in it, but it was a lot.
  22. Joe was done during the debate. It's just taken a while for those invested in him to wake up and smell the coffee. Who among you still believe he has covid? LOL.
  23. Gone and good riddance IMO.
  24. Just heard a talking head on Al Jazeera saying that she is very pro israel, but was put up to present a different side. I don't know if that is true, but I believe she is capable of lying about her true opinions.
  25. A politician can say anything they like till they actually get the big chair. I can't see Harris changing anything re israel.
