IMO marriage is an institution best disposed of in the dustbin of history as not fit for purpose. It was useful before women became independent and had state aid, but now, IMO it is only of use for women to take the man for everything they can get, and for lawyers minting it off the debris of people's lives. I don't get why anyone wants to be married anymore- the offspring are not called bastards now and there are so many from unmarried people it's no longer a stigma. It has a failure rate of at least 50 %. Would you buy a car with a 50% fail rate?

People like that amuse me muchly. They come out on interviews with nonsense about stop using fossil fuel, but never say how that could be achieved. They also never say if it would actually work, and IMO they don't know if it would work, or if it did do something just what that would be. Do those muppets know now many ICE vehicles are out there on the planet, and how they could all be replaced, and how long it would take to replace them, and how the vehicle owners could afford to do so, and where the raw materials would come from to convert the billions of ICE vehicles to an alternative? Must be great living in some alternate universe. The irony is that without fossil fuel, those muppets would still be riding in horse drawn carriages, using whale oil for lighting, and would never have a cushy job like they do

That was my fault, apologies. I must have taken the quote from the quote you made of his post to reply to it. When one does that it gets the current poster as the source. I should have gone back to his original post to get my quote, but I forgot.

Trump said during the debate that he only stood because Biden did. I'm hoping that if Biden does step down Trump will do likewise. The world can do without another 4 years of the chaos of the last time. However, if Harris is the candidate, I hope Trump stays on and destroys her.

What I found odious about the politics around covid was the willingness of people that should have known better to become virtual dictators, and it seemed that Fauci became one. If that is wrong apologies. We did have our very own wannabe Fauci in NZ, who became so unpopular that I have not heard of them for years.

It would only be of use if a fail meant the candidate was disqualified, and who would be willing to do a test of such enormous consequence? It would also have to be mandatory for all future candidates. It's pretty obvious Biden would fail, though if Trump passed Schiff might regret proposing it.
