Go Trump go. He knows that going to jail will just make him more popular and support his claims to being unfairly treated by the Dems using the judicial system against him. No doubt the judge will know of potential problems for him and his family if he did jail Trump. Having made the threat, he is now in the unenviable position of either jailing Trump, with the potential problems for his personal safety, or of not jailing Trump and looking weak. Trump has now thrown the ball into the judge's court, and we will have to wait and see what the judge does with it.

One has to ask why she believes that. A "trans" male is still a male genetically, regardless of whether they just wear a dress or get their male bits cut off. If "trans" can play in women's sports why bother having women's sports at all? There is no dispute about a female "trans" playing in a male sport, because they pose zero threat to real men.

That's why they are opinions. At least when I post a fact I back it up with a link, unlike a poster I know on here. It doesn't matter how Trump is doing in polls because you agreed with me that polls mean nothing this far out from an election. I just hope Biden lasts till the election, as he is Trump's best chance of winning. If Biden goes to the mental ward retirement home early enough either they put a better candidate up, who wins, or RFK might win. He's apparently doing far better than either of the old guys with the younger demographic.

Greta Thunberg detained at The Hague climate demonstration

I think she just does what her handlers tell her to do. There are millions of people on the planet with good intentions ( I even have a few of those myself ) but they don't go around upsetting other people. -

Wrong. I'm triggered by the attention the luvvies give to a silly girl. There is no reason for me to be scared by her personally. I reserve being scared for gang members that might beat me to death for looking at them the wrong way. -
NATO leaders say Ukraine WILL join NATO.
thaibeachlovers replied to thaibeachlovers's topic in The War in Ukraine
Had I said what I really think the post would likely have been deleted. I'm not sure if they are trying to get their politicians to agree to a NATO force in Ukraine, or not, but IMO military at that level like to have a bit of a real conflict going on. Much more chance of a few medals etc, and they won't be the ones going home in a bag. Just sending bullets for someone else to fire doesn't get them any kudos. -
I am when they were killed after clearing their movements by the IDF. I'm probably more shocked by the pathetic attempt by the IDF to justify their atrocity. If what they say is true, it makes them incompetent in that command does not communicate with troops on the ground, or apparently in this case with drone operators, and there is no operational command structure, which I do not believe. Unlike some on here I've actually been in the military, and understand how it works, which is not how the IDF are trying to justify their actions.

Agree 100%. Israel has created a forever enemy, and will suffer for it. An appropriate example is Ireland that fought back against the English invaders and oppressors for hundreds of years. The hatred that has been created will never vanish, but will be passed from generation to generation. Small boys will play "Palestinians and israelis" with israelis as the bad guys to be "killed" ( like the "cowboys and Indians" that we played when I was a young boy ). Those small boys will grow up to do their best to kill israelis for real. Sadly, it could have all been so different, back when there actually was a West Bank that the Palestinians could have built a state in. That option has long gone. IMO anyone in authority that references a "two state solution is being disingenuous.

I think I can say with certainty that israel will not. It's IMO destroying Gaza to make it uninhabitable, so they will not want to help make it habitable. IMO the US should as Biden could have stopped the bombing long ago, so IMO America is liable. Add the European countries that sent bombs to blow up Gaza. Some how I suspect they will cry poverty, though they have no problem paying for the bombs that destroyed, and for supporting a different war as well. IMO the US and Europe ( including Britain ) are led by hypocrites.

Taiwan’s strongest quake in 25 years kills at least four
thaibeachlovers replied to CharlieH's topic in World News
In the 80s I was working in a hospital ward when a large earthquake struck. We were having morning tea break at the time and I watched the water in a fish tank swishing violently from side to side. I remember thinking that I'd pay money at a fair ground to go on a ride like that! The building suffered no damage, as it would have been constructed to earthquake standard, but a large concrete chimney for the boiler house was too badly damaged to keep and was replaced by a steel one. A few people were injured, but happily no one died, as it hit an area with a low population, and the city was low rise. -

While I agree about the draconian laws concerning the right to protest ( has the UK government gone collectively insane? ) I disagree that any words coming out of Greta's mouth are the truth.- 92 replies

Not just British judges. My western ex was a JP and took me along for a social evening with the law fraternity in our city. I remember being shocked and horrified at how out of touch with reality the judges were. IMO they really lived in a bubble completely isolated from the mere mortals they sat in judgement on.

Do you know anyone with gynophobia ?
thaibeachlovers replied to MrPancake's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I love the idea of women. I just don't like the reality. Perhaps that's why I like Japanese anime- the women are not only likeable, but obviously not based on reality. -
