  1. I agree, but that only works with politicians that look as though they are in charge. Thatcher took a huge risk with the Falklands, but won and looked like a strong leader, so it worked for her. Carter messed up in Iran and got the boot, Bush the younger succeeded despite the chaos in Iraq, but he didn't stumble about and mumble. I don't see how biden can win based on his geriatric performance, but I'm not psychic so who knows?
  2. You may have had something worthwhile to read, but I don't have to put up with your pathetic insults, so you are on ignore.
  3. I lived on it and it's very dangerous because it's too narrow for two way traffic. Making it one way might make it safer, so a good thing.
  4. Agree. If any of us can step back from the vitriol, we have to accept that the Palestinians are not going away, and locking them up will only lead to more of the same. I don't know if a two state solution will work given the Palestinian desire for revenge, but it might work if israel did leave the west bank, free access to jordan and a buffer zone was created. As for Gaza, IMO the only solution is for israel to stop the blockade and allow them free access to the rest of the world. Otherwise it's the same conflict forever. I don't know why netanyahu even imagines that "victory" in Gaza makes israel safe, given there are millions of Palestinians living outside israel/ Palestine/ Gaza. Lets remember that the Irish opposed the English for 600 years, but even they were able to accept a truce.
  5. Even if what you say is true, it's apparent that biden, the bumbler in chief is losing support where it matters in the court of public opinion. So, as long as the dems can't come up with a decent alternative they face the very definite possibility that Trump will win, AGAIN- cue weeping snowflakes on U Tube. I don't actually support Trump being the GOP candidate as it would mean another 4 years of continual Dem's attacks and chaos, but if it's him against Mr Bumble it's Trump all the way.
  6. IMO the anti west coalition will be gaining a few more supporters as some Middle East countries likely turn against America, because of it's support for israel.
  7. Keep it up congress. You are helping the Gazans every time you reject a speaker.
  8. Try telling the bank that you didn't understand the agreement you signed- they'd laugh at you. People in America always have a choice, and if they signed something they should not have that's on them. Your choice of language about Trump is somewhat amusing, given he is winning public support in the millions with every court case against him, and your hero biden is exposed for the shambolic bumbler he is every time he goes on tv.
  9. You are going to love this then- Break dancing is a "sport" at Paris olympics. The world has indeed gone completely barking insane. https://www.paris2024.org/en/sport/breaking/ At the Paris 2024 Games, the breaking competition will comprise two events – one for men and one for women – where 16 B-Boys and 16 B-Girls will go face to face in spectacular solo battles. Athletes will use a combination of power moves – including windmills, the 6-step and freezes – as they adapt their moves and improvise to the beat of the DJ’s tracks in a bid to secure the judges’ votes and take home the first Olympic breaking title.
  10. If they signed them they agreed to abide by them. If they didn't agree they should have gone elsewhere to work. I'm not aware that anyone was forced to work in a Trump business.
  11. It's a court decision which will IMO have unintended consequences elsewhere.
  12. Dictators don't care about the peasants, and China supports Nth Korea.
  13. As I saw it on Al Jazeera they were not necessarily for israel. They could have been headed for american assets, but as they were destroyed it's unknown what the destination was. Now that the US has declared for israel, IMO all Americans abroad and US assets are a target.
  14. Every time you insult me you have lost the argument. Bye.
  15. You need to provide proof that hostages have been executed. They are far more valuable alive. Some hostages have apparently been killed by israeli bombing though. Hamas just released 2 hostages. No link required as it's all over media.
  16. Hamas members are probably hiding in the tunnels beneath Gaza, waiting for the land invasion. I doubt any are on the surface where they could be killed in the bombing. Israel knows about the tunnels, and they must know that Hamas are safe in them, but they still use the excuse that they have to bomb residential areas because "Hamas is using it as a base". One is sickened by it.
  17. Sending heavily armed soldiers backed up by artillery and airpower into Gaza will not eliminate Hamas which has gained hundreds of thousands of new supporters in many countries ( and the leaders of Hamas do not apparently live in Gaza ), but it will result in the deaths of many innocents. While many innocents will die, after the slaughter ends many israelis will have to live with the memory of killing children and women. As the soldiers that committed My Lai can attest, it's not a happy memory. One wonders if netanyahu has taken the brutalisation of young israelis into account in his ( IMO ) quest to annihilate Palestinians. IMO all that will result from this is that israel will face millions more opponents than it started with.
  18. If it means that I don't have to sit next to a land whale next time I fly I'm all for it.
  19. First port of call should be the Ministry of Foreign affairs. They will probably know better what to do that us on here. I'm sure it happened before.
  20. Thanks Although ( according to wikipedia ) it was in colour, I saw it in black and white as NZ didn't get colour tv till 1973.
  21. It's the thrill of the "what might have been". I have more than a few about the cute BGs I had to pass on for various reasons. I remember them more than some of the ones I did go with.
  22. Would I help- no. I could not fight my way out of a paper bag now. Back in the day I did help in situations, but that was a very long time ago.
  23. In England one would not help if a bad youth was involved, as if the kid got injured one would be prosecuted. England has gone barking IMO.
  24. That would depend on the country. In Saudi we were told to never help anyone injured outside hospital as if they died we would be held liable. If a taxi we were in was involved in an accident we were told to get out and run as it would be our fault if the cops got us. There was no "good Samaritan" law in Saudi.
  25. I can certainly understand 1 and 2. I see loads of arrogant western people with a false sense of superiority and I'm not even in LOS.
