  1. No doubt that will be decided in court, if it even gets that far. Apparently a judge has to decide if there is enough there there to proceed to trial. As Daniels is apparently not a New York state resident, would N Y state law apply to her case.
  2. Errrr, if the tapes of a sexual nature were not enough to make him lose, it's highly unlikely that paying off Daniels was going to. I really thought he was done and dusted when they came out, but I guess enough people hated disliked Hillary enough to still vote for Trump over her.
  3. Exactly! If that's the average standard of anti Trumpers, it's no wonder they haven't been able to put him away despite who knows how many attempts over the past 6 years. LOL.
  4. They probably have no way of knowing. I flew with prostate cancer many times before the op. Last time was just before I went into hospital.
  5. I had good Thai insurance, but after I stopped it for a year I couldn't have got back on as too old, though had I kept paying I could have stayed on longer. Went up from 60,000 to 70,000 in one year.
  6. Has it been that long? I remember the bricks well. Apparently some just had a handset that they pretended to have a conversation on, to give themselves status. Seemed to me that the first to have mobiles in Bkk were bargirls, as Nana was full of girls with a bulge in the back pocket of their jeans.
  7. Starving and rioting perhaps.
  8. 1/ I doubt any that intend to get rich off that diabolical scheme care about what happens to the unemployed as long as they get rich. 2/ I doubt governments want to even think about the consequences given they can't even run their countries properly without extra millions of unemployed and unemployable citizens getting "restless". However it turns out I hope I'm not around to see what happens, as IMO it's not going to be good for anyone.
  9. I think the point is that many don't seem to have a life outside an artificial bubble. Real life is about more than looking at a stupid phone.
  10. Who is Banksy? IMO he's a fiction invented by a group of artists that paint pictures in various countries in the same style. In other words, it's a huge in joke. IMO the real joke is that so many take it seriously.
  11. Errrr, I doubt I can find everything I want on a smart phone, as I often can't find something on google, and I guess that's what they use.
  12. I can't open the link, but my takeaway is that there wasn't any of the hyped up expected aggression from the MAGA crowd and it was almost a non event except for breathless reporters trying to make it something by claiming it was earth shaking news, and an historic moment that might be looked back on for "years". It may well be, but I suspect not for the reasons the anti Trump faction expect.
  13. LOL. He could sell T shirts saying "They tried to convict me of something and all they got was Stormy".
  14. Thank you for admitting that, but I think there is enough reasonable doubt for an acquittal. However, it could be a year or more before it gets to a verdict, so I'm not holding my breath.
  15. The only factual evidence so far is that Cohen paid her. To convict they have to prove Trump knew that he was reimbursing a pay off, and not just a retainer. Plenty of wiggle room in this case. I'm really looking forward to a not guilty on reasonable doubt result.
  16. I know a nurse that works in such places, and it's hard to get nurses to work in them as pay is too low and work too hard. No time for hanky panky with the customers. Even if you were to have a good looking one she wouldn't be looking after you- that's what the assistants are there for.
  17. I guess that was a rhetorical question at the end.
  18. From the top of World news subforum. Any alleged factual claims must be supported by a valid link to an approved credible source. Do you understand what "must" means?
  19. Not so. I was a "good" pupil so didn't have much corporal punishment, but I remember every instance of it, and I certainly remember having my nose damaged by a fellow pupil.
  20. Indeed. Seriously, my generation had harsh discipline at school and only some of us grew up mentally problematic. I don't see that kids with less harsh discipline are any better mentally than my generation.
  21. Can we hope that is the last we will hear from Branson? I hope so.
  22. This thread would have been relevant for the past 40 years. Used to be worse in Chiang Mai around the moat till they put traffic lights on pedestrian crossings. Cars actually stop for the red lights there.
  23. Pattaya is not and never has been disabled friendly. Do you say the same about Bkk?
  24. I'm glad that you feel like that. I can't believe how many old guys on here would spend everything they had, and leave their family with nothing just to hang on for a few more miserable years.
  25. I was OK a bit longer than that, but old age is really kicking me in the teeth now. I have no reason to want to live longer in a nursing home.
