    You need to ask at the amphur where you will get the divorce. Different offices have different requirements. You may need a translator, or not. The documents are in Thai, so if you want to know what you are signing, get a copy and have it translated.

    Fair enough, but if they think they can continue to live in LOS once their money runs out I think they are in for disappointment. Can't work, and will the Thai government consider them refugees- IMO not.

    Only 12 years? I was in the UK during Gordon's time and IMO he wasn't half as good as he thought he was. Wasting 6 billion quid on the NHS wasn't the actions of an actually competent chancellor.

    That's the skytrain. I never bothered with the skytrain from Phaya Thai, given how close it was to MBK. I'd just get a taxi to the door at MBK.

    Do Buddhists even have something equivalent to a "church service" I know the monks get up early and chant, but while my wife would go to the temple to pray to the Buddha I never saw anything resembling a "service".

    Can someone tell me what happens when they can't use cashless eg card or phone gets stolen/ lost/ breaks/ flat battery? Cash never gets a flat battery. It's good to see from the poll that the cashless are losing big time. It's not even close.

    That made me chuckle. The same people that would accept cashless are the ones pushing the "climate change" thing, and if there is one thing for sure, when the transmission infrastructure gets flooded or burnt it's not going to work very well. So, lets imagine that you wake up one morning and the phone doesn't work, or it got stolen or something, how are you going to pay for your public transport to work, or buy lunch or a beer after work?

    I only recently started putting a lot of posters on that, as they insisted on personal attacks and bickering with me. I wish I'd done it long ago as it's been so much less abusive when I can't see their posts. I wish there was a similar function for the assorted antisocial morons bad people that "disturb" my real life.

    Well said. I'm sick and tired of the "rationalization" that a married man or woman can't travel to where the work is, as it's BS. Almost every Filipina that I worked with ( many ) had left her children to move to far far away for work and only saw her family once a year.
