We had an incident one night on a dual carriageway. We were in the fast lane and a car was coming straight at us. It was after dark and I assume the driver was too drunk to realise that he/she was on a dual carriageway and thought they were in their own left lane. You are never safe when out and about in this country.

Funny how the business owner wants to file charges against officials for entering his illegal business without permission. Even funnier is that it's a restaurant, which I presume the owner wants to reserve only for those who don't have any interest in enforcing the law. the owner will file a legal action against the officials for entering and encroaching upon his private property “Without Permission.”

The law was passed then, not the notice to demolish the business.

A few months ago I was standing outside my house just off of the road looking for my dog. Then a pickup, racing another, came from the opposite way to which I was looking and on the wrong side of the road and so far over that it missed hitting me by a couple of inches. It was so close I felt the heat of the engine. I was kind of hoping they'd crash down the road and kill themselves but it wasn't to be. Not then, anyway.

That's because you also have no idea of each person's circumstances. Personally, I go in person as it's a comfortable 40 minute drive and I'm in and out of the office in 10 minutes. It's also just a couple of minutes from two large supermarkets where I can shop afterwards. Also, their office is opposite a shop that sells the imported beer that I like. Or, I could do it on-line and hope that it works okay and I don't have the problems that people often report on this site such at it not working and they don't get a response from their attempt.

I use my memory. They've given me a date to report this month - and it's a Saturday when they're closed I know I can go a day early, but I wonder why they are unable to understand a calendar.

It's just so damn hard to see these huge lorries, isn't it. Every day there are reports of someone driving into them, often with fatal consequences. Makes a change from demolishing roadside poles, I suppose.
